Wickes - Glossop Reviews 

Often people are quick to complain but slow to compliment.

In this case I'd like to go on record to compliment you and the staff at the Glossop Store, specifically:

Michael in Kitchen Design, his patience and dedication to getting our new kitchen just right is to be commended
Reuben for his assistance and support in sorting out a number of issues quickly and efficiently
Cherrie, what a diamond lady she is, nothing was too much trouble sorting out our two tile selections, arranging/changing delivery dates with a smile and a "no problem"

Clearly these staff are customer focussed and it's this alone that will differentiate you from your competition and not just price.

A house visit was carried out by Mike from the Glossop, Hyde branch and a layout was agreed. I am expressing my dissatisfaction regarding the lack of communication and the delay in receiving my kitchen design. Despite following up with a phone call, I have yet to receive a response. The is the first kitchen project we are attempting and was given false hope that Wickes can carry out the installation from start to finish but now I am looking elsewhere. I WOULD NOT recommend this company.

I was well advised on the flooring I needed to buy. Both Jade and Chez couldn’t have been more helpful.

A wonderful member of staff named chez had a wealth of experience, her advice helped us to refresh our kitchen with ease. Thank you Chez, we appreciated your time and help!

Ordered a bathroom through Wickes installed by HEH Home Ltd. The mirror placed off centre above the basin;
the bathroom door didnt close; a space opened up between the floor tiles and skirting. Contacted Wickes who said nothing to do with them. The shower has stopped working - no hot water just cold.

I visited Wickes yesterday to purchase top soil. Unfortunately delivery wasn't possible, but LOTTIE came to the rescue. I said I couldn't lift the bags. No problem said Lottie, I will load them and put them into your car. Which she did all SIXTEEN bags. VERY helpful and a lovely smile. Thank you Lottie you are a star 🌟

Wickes sponsored a village event for us at Christmas. Santa was coming to visit us and we wanted to build him a sleigh to ride round the village on. Wickes provided the materials for us to build it. It was a huge success

Superb customer service from Cara and Lottie. Had a problem with my account and they both tried to sort it out going above and beyond, just first class. The store was also well stocked.

Fantastic service today from Lottie and Jade.
I went to look for some paint for my conservatory, but unfortunately they didn’t have the colour I was looking for.
They helped me look for a similar shade, which was perfect for what I wanted.

I use Wickes as much as possible as the staff are always helpful and friedly. Go out of their way to help you.Very much appreciated. Also good stock level.

Always find great products and friendly service at Wickes use them all the time, I collected some water repellent treatment on Saturday and was met by the smile of Cara
pleasure to do business with them!

It's good to have the people who work in shops who know their stock and have a good and welcoming sense of humour. Cara served me the other day and was happy to throw around the general banter at the check-out. When you can leave a place with a smile on your face, it makes shopping there all the more pleasant. Cara was friendly and speedy, handled the queue quickly and with lots of smilesm always appreciate meeting a nice person at the till!

I recently visited the Glossop branch 10/2/25 and was served by Lottie who was friendly and helpful. I'm a regular customer and find the staff at the branch are knowledgeable and helpful.
