Gareth Davies our kitchen designer was superb, really knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout, nothing was too much trouble and he was also very caring and thoughtful in terms of designing in our disability requirements to our kitchen and bathroom, I cannot recommend Gareth enough

I went there to collect a specific item I saw online. Asked a store representative for assistance. They were excellent. Then I asked “where are the trolleys”, to which they said “they are outside to the left”, and i responded “is it ok for me to leave this door here for a minute?” I was told it’s fine so the store rep walked off and I went to get the trolley, grabbed something by the door on the way back in. Got approached on my way back In through the second door by another store representative who startled me and I dropped what I placed in the trolley. He told me off for leaving the door where I did because of “health and safety”, to which I responded “I did ask your colleague first who said it was fine…so” then he walked off. Neither store representative did me the courtesy of staying by the door where I’d placed it temporarily in order to get a cart. No they had other things to do. One actually took it upon themselves to treat me like I was their subordinate worker bee and reprimanded me for something I’d already asked permission for. I mean if he cared about health and safety so much he would have stood by the door until i came back to collect it. I was less than two minutes. In the process I walked right past the discounted contract Matt white paint that I needed and forgot it because I thought. What a bleep. Then left without all the items I came for. The second rep could have definitely handled that better. I then bought four 10 litre tubs elsewhere for more money and am left feeling like wickes owes me money.

I've ordered a new kitchen and so far everything has been great.
John Aldridge in the Haverfordwest store has been excellent, very helpful .

Gareth Davies, the design consultant at Haverfordwest was excellent from start to finish.
He listened carefully to what I wanted, made valuable suggestions and took account of my preferences to make my new kitchen as accessible as possible. Together, after his home visit, we made changes to the original design and I could not be more pleased with the end result.
Gareth helped out with small problems during the whole process. Without his help, the project would not have been completed within the timeframe available to me due to family circumstances.
Sadly, I cannot say the same about the delivery company used by Wickes. Items arrived poorly packaged and some in part open cartons. Several items had boot prints on them.
Wickes own customer services team failed to respond to several emails and telephone calls or to properly deal with issues over a missing item.
Fortunately we had our own excellent installers, who quickly and effectively worked around minor problems.
The product seems very good, although it is early days yet.
My advice to anyone choosing a Wickes kitchen is to allow plenty of time for delivery and resolution of missing/damaged items as Wickes customer service is, in my experience, very poor. They have no sense of urgency, give conflicting information when you do manage to get in touch and have little or no knowledge of the product.
And make sure you have someone like Gareth!

With CAD printouts in hand we went to John who then very efficiently created the kitchen design on the Wickes system. We wanted a kitchen for our daughter's home that was not going to break the bank. By the time John designed and costed out the kitchen for us, it was a no brainer! John was great through the process, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable - everything you need in a kitchen designer and we will recommend him to others in the future.

John Aldridge is an absolute star. My wife and I wanted to significantly alter our self catering cottage and with John's abundant wealth of ideas and encouragement and his calm and considered approach, he accompanied us along the entire planning journey. He was so patient and calm whenever we revisited previous decisions and nothing was too much bother at all to him. I really liked how he listened to what we were thinking and then took those ideas and worked with them to produce results that we recognised as ostensibly ours.
We both came to trust him implicitly, enjoyed his humour and are now keen to show him the finished photographs. If you are reading this, John, sincere thanks to you. He is an absolute credit to Wickes and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

John made it very easy for me to design and pay for a kitchen for a rental. He worked with an extremely tight budget and I couldn’t be more pleased with the design. Thank you

We had our Kitchen designed by John Aldrich and what a job he did! We had numerous companies out who told us they had design consultants but only John actually did the design element! We had a large project with knocking rooms into 1, renovating a deplodated conservatory and not being 100% sure what we really wanted. John took the task on and after many many hours he designed a fully unique and bespoke kitchen which we love! He also did a great job with our bathroom! We are lucky we also have an exceptional fitter who's exacting standards have made the kitchen and bathroom perfect! If you get John to design your room ask for your fitter to be Josh Williams! Thank you John!
