Not having much luck finding a chemist…
Not having much luck finding a chemist or pharmacy who is able to take my big black sack of medications blister packs. i am not keen to put them in the recycling bin. Any suggestions.

At TerraCycle, we offer two main recycling solutions for people and companies based in the UK: Free National Recycling Programmes and Zero Waste Boxes™.
TerraCycle Free Recycling Programmes are funded by brands, manufacturers and retailers to help you collect and recycle your hard-to-recycle waste for free. TerraCycle has previously worked together with Superdrug to recycle medication blister packs. The Zero Waste Box™ is a different product and recycling service, separate from the free Recycling Programmes. Failed Delivery & Communication.
Only informed of the attempted Delivery after the fact, then tried to rearrange it, so I'd know when it was coming. But, UPS don't accept Mobile Telephone Numbers as 'Valid', so I couldn't sign up to their full services.
Now considering giving up, and getting a Full Refund.
Also, highly likely to tell others that Terracycle is too expensive, and UPS are too exclusive, and between them are discouraging People from Recycling, which is contrary to their stated aims.

Plastic Waste
When you see how much plastic you collect in your kitchen bin, it both disgusts you and yet makes you proud to be using a zero waste box to recycle it. Shame more isn't done by councils to recycle loose plastic.

Good to be able to recycle soft plastic but very expensive! Feels like a high premium to try and protect the planet when industry should be doing better qnd the recycling business model should be more profitable from tetracycline to reduce prices.

Useful Recycling Service
The recycling box is delivered by UPI, who also collect it when it's full (this is included in the price). I now rarely put any plastic waste in the bin. It has also made me more aware of plastic packaging when I buy things.

Johnson & Johnson Vision is continuing to support and fund the ACUVUE Contact Lens Recycle Programme. Changes have been made to ensure its longevity and to actually increase the volume of contact lenses, blister packs and foils that can be recycled in the UK by up to 25%. With the changes in place contact lens recycling is now being offered in numerous opticians across the country.
While we appreciate there have been changes in this recycling scheme, this redesign aims at offering the opportunity for more opticians to join the programme, as well as offering a more convenient waste management.

The box is VERY expensive
The box is VERY expensive. It’s good to avoid putting plastics into the general waste, but this box is very expensive and many people would not be able to or want to pay for this. I don’t know if I’ll purchase another, because it’s so costly. The box itself is a box.

Worth It
Expensive, but worth supporting to recycle waste which otherwise would not be recycled. The more people that support the boxes, the more cost efficient I hope it will become. Anyone who can afford to do this should do. Get your business to buy them! Every effort helps…

The boxes arrive really swiftly, but as yet I haven't found an easy way to get them back to you when full. I expect it's my own fault as I've tried to take them to a shop which is a collection point, but they are awkward to get into my car and there's no parking

For future reference, your Zero Waste Box can be collected from any location (for example your home or office). You can either organise the collection by calling UPS or online, with the prepaid shipping label that is fixed at the back of the box. UPS then collects the box the following working day.
