Very friendly communication combined with a wonderful quality car.
It would have been even better if we would have had a basic instruction of the navigation system.
What surprises me that nowadays with a navigation as a basic instrument in new cars, there is still an extra charge for this.

Very friendly and helpful service. No problems with changing the hour of arrival or giving back the car.

The guys at Autovia in Catania have been consistently excellent for the last two years. Very helpful and reliable. If you are a regular, worth emailing them direct asking for a special rate. Like all rental firms it's better to have your own annual excess insurance rather than buy per hire, as it's much cheaper and I recommend paying the small cleaning free up front, to avoid having to pay the higher fee when you return the vehicle.

Our experience was terrible. We received no instruction about the special features of the car when we picked it up: neither about how to start the car (which requires brakes applied during ignition), nor that the car was hybrid, fueled by methane as well as regular gas. This caused us much aggravation and wasted time. Also, the automatic gearshift did not hold when in D and stopped on an incline, causing us to slide downhill as if it were in reverse. Finally, nothing in the multimedia system worked, not even the clock. The one good thing was the clerk to whom we returned the car was understanding.

No queue at the day of arrival, friendly and polite staff, the car was new and clean. Nothing to complain, would recommend it.

they charge for a washing service, although (1) it was not mentioned while booking online and (2) the car was returned decently clean and nobody mentioned the washing service ever again when returning the car.
Just a couple of days later comes a surprise booking on the credit card...
When complaining about it, they just say "it's part of the contract", but I think not mentioning this online and just booking from the credit card without saying anything upon returning the car is just BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I had a very good experience with the Catania Airport car rental. I was helped through phone and email very professionally. My flight arrived late at night on the 29th January, just 15 minutes before closing hour, but the young gentleman at the office was incredibly helpful and made the experience at arrival very positive.

Tej service gave us tej Keys to tej diety car, nad earlier they informed us that id we give tej diety car we wilk have to pay up to 60 Euro gór washing. After aut intervention, we received a celna car. Tej service was nit pleasant.

1) The Autovia station is difficult to find (outside the airport building)
> Tip: Signs at the terminal exit would be helpful
2) Getting a larger vehicle category, which we had deliberately not booked, but there was no Chance for changing the car category
3) Handover without service staff. You only get a Handover-protocol.
> Checking the defects of a dark blue car at night is very difficult!!!
4) The car exterior was in bad condition, but technology and interior were ok.
5) Insurance should be taken out. Only after consultation with the agency (Check24) it was clear that this is not necessary
6) 10 € cleaning fee on top
7) Return without problems

You can pay in advanced a cleaning (10 Euros) they say it is what you pay outside. But if they will have to clean afterwards you will have to pay a penalty of 35 Euros. I payed cause the risk was to high they make you pay the 35 Euros. But when we got the car it was dirty inside (at least not clean) and we just got a short excuse, but no refund.

I couldn`t find Autovia in Catania airport .In my reservation papers from check 24 I could only read the name of the Agency "Optimo Rent", but nobody in the airport knew this Agency. Finially I called check24 and they gave me the number of the Agency.

We had to pay for car washing. I`ve never paid before for carwashing.

Other people felt the same. they also didn`t find the Agency. They got a car that they hadn`t booked.
The Agency wanted to take out an extra insurence.
