We have just rented a car from Ecovia/Autovia i Gasselle /Torino airport. Everything Was super. Nice persons at work when picking up and coming back. Coming back my girlfriend forgot her iPhone in the car. Umberto the Young guy at the Office came running to the departure Gates with the phone 😀😀 what a great service - Thanks - We come back for sure 👍👍
We got a free upgrade to a larger and better car than the one we had originally booked.
The car was clean and new.
Easy and quick pick-up and drop-off and friendly staff.
I will definitely use Autovia again next time.
Sub-standard Car. I have used Autovia before and was happy with the experience, however this time I was not. The car I was given, an MG, was not only underpowered, but had 'strange' electrics/central locking. The car could only be unlocked using the key, and then the electrics need to be turned on using an interior button. It took 3 trips to the rental desk before this was fully explained.
We were promised a car with a full tank. When we started driving we found it was only 1/3 full. I sent an email with photos to complain. It was ignored. When we returned I complained and I was rudely dismissed. Terrible service!
I booked the car through Booking.com in the option with full insurance. And I paid for it at the time of booking. Unfortunately, when picking up the car at the airport in Turin, the staff informed me that the insurance from Booking.com could not be honored by Autovia, so I had to pay for the rental on site a second time. Additionally, none of my payment cards were considered appropriate by the staff??? As a result, I paid for the car rental twice. I do not recommend! In any case, after returning, I advise all my friends to rent a car through Autovia and through Booking.com. I give two stars only for the Lancia car, which did very well. Maybe Autovia should post information for customers what types of cards are accepted to rent a car?
Great service, no extra charges despite minor scratches and an easy return policy.

I booked a car through booking.com, excited to find out that an extra driver was included at no extra cost. However, Ecovia threw me a curveball by insisting on seeing a voucher that had no mention of the additional driver. As a result, they charged me for it, but don't worry—I'm determined to take this up with booking.com and file a claim. To make matters worse, when I asked Ecovia.it for an invoice specifically for the additional driver, they handed me a surprise: an invoice for premium roadside assistance and a final cleaning fee for the car.
Be careful, always ask for an invoice!

Our rental experience was absolutely atrocious. Our flight was delayed by 3 hours, however we knew we had given our flight number to Autovia, and could see on Autovia's terms and conditions that as long as we picked up the car within 2 hours of the plane landing, this was within our agreed timeframes. However, despite arriving at the rental desk just 35 minutes after landing, we were told that our car had been given away and our only option was to pay over €200 more and hire a larger car. We tried to show our VIP car booking terms, and were told (rudely) that these were VIP cars terms, not Autovia's. We then went on Autovia's website, where we found the exact same information, and we were told "Hmm, they must be old". Even though we showed them that these terms were on their current website, we were told that we could either pay the additional €200 and have a car, or walk away with nothing. This was extremely disappointing considering we had already paid a deposit through VIP cars and we had paid for additional insurance for this booking. In the end, we had to pay €375 for the car, rather than the €191 we were quoted by VIP cars. This meant that our hire car was almost double the price we expected.
We would also like to just add, that in the car park there were plenty of smaller cars (like the one we had booked). We feel that the staff were extremely rude, were not willing to listen to anything we had to say, and misused their power in the situation. We are inclined to believe that they had not given our cars away, but instead just wanted more money. Despite this, if they HAD given our car away, this would be a direct breach of their own terms and conditions (see 1.8 on terms found in their T+Cs ).

I rented a car from Autovia at at Turin Airport in March. 2 months later I see a charge on my credit card for €60 "administration fee" from Autovia for the pleasure of notifying me of an alleged "motoring infraction" of which I have no details and so no way of paying any fine that might be due. I suspect that they will keep charging my credit card with ongoing "administration fees" to keep notifying me.
In addition, we had cause to use snow chains and when we tried to use them they were too small for the car. I believe that is illegal. We had to buy the correct size for €75. They ignored my email request and telephone calls for a refund. Don't use this company, this is sharp practice.

I thought all was well, but then when I got home and checked my statements, they'd taken an €80 payment for being allowed to drive across the border into France. The payment was taken without my knowledge, and the only way they could have done this is by taking a contactless payment behind the desk without my consent after I gave them the card to take the deposit. The only payment I authorised at the desk was the deposit, and I only use this card for car hire deposits so it was taken while I was at the desk. The extra fee is annoying (doubled the rental charge) but it's extremely concerning that they are taking the payments by contactless out of view in their kiosk. Keep an eye on your card, you never know what Autovia staff might be charging without your consent.

While the car was not exactly what we had hoped for (when we reserved we reserved a Fiat 500L) it was not a bad vehicle. But the person at the desk failed to let us know that this car used natural gas and that the regular gas tank was just a backup with very short range (120km). Our car was delivered with a completely empty tank of Metano and just ⅝ of regular gas. We were told to return them full or we would be charged. For an American natural gas vehicles is not a common thing and this caused us to have to scramble, while on the road, to understand why our vehicle had a yellow warning on the dashboard and why our gas tank was going down so fast. Once we figured that out (basically one of us reading the car manual while the other drove) then we had to wait until the next gas station that offered metano and not just gpl. This was very stressful for someone who was driving in Italy for the first time

The car was fine and the experience was fine. The only issue with the experience was that the car was booked with snow chains and a ski rack. The snow chains were present however the ski rack was not. Luckily, we were not carrying 4+ people and there was enough room to carry the skis within the car. When the issue was queried with the rental centre, I was informed that I had not paid for the ski rack.
I booked this rental car through Ryanair and the ski rack was specifically requested. There was no opportunity to pay for the ski rack. I believe this is a flaw in the service.
Otherwise the service provided was OK.

Be aware they dont keep you reserve car after 1 hour from the scheduledd time, specially if you plan to take the car in the airport after a flight. If your flight is delayed you are left without car , even if you have already paíd it!! Very aggressive attitude from the staff as well when we found that problem.

Prompt and Efficient Transaction in less than 15 minutes from being served. Very easy process but next time I would take my own photos of the car prior to taking it for peace of mind. Would definitely use Ecovia again. Many thanks 👍

Oh woe is me - why do I always pick the wrong companies! When we arrived in the rental area around midday on Saturday for our snowboarding trip to Champoluc - we found only Autovia had a huge queue of people. Worse - they were so, so slow even though we had completed all the information on line. Each customer was taking 15-20 minutes & only 2 x staff.. After our wait of 2 hours !! (whilst waiting at least 2 customers returned after collecting their car with some kind of complaint) After 2 hours we finally received our keys & I confirmed with the lady - it is a BIG car right - having taken care to book an estate for our family of 4 with 3 x suitcases & 1 x large ski bag. I had remained calm until I saw the car they had given us - a small hatch back that would not even fit our cases - let alone the ski bag!! I returned to complain but 1 of the staff had gone for lunch leaving only 1 girl serving a customer with an ever growing queue. I tried to catch her attention but she said she had to finish with that customer 1st so I was left waiting another 20 mins until finally another member of staff arrived. He said it was not their mistake because their system was not the same as the company I used to make a booking so an estate becomes a mini - REALLY?? REALLY? After some checking he said they had an estate car available & he changed our booking - another 15- 20 minutes.. I would like to think of a reason I could award something higher - but this kind of service (service?) is terrible - I wish I had paid a little extra and gone elsewhere. Book with caution!!

I recently hired a car from Turin airport to drive to the Aosta Valley to go skiing - a well known route to the region's ski resorts. Knowing that a heavy snowfall was due, I double checked that snowchains were included in hire, and were indeed in the vehicle. Enroute, I reached heavy snowfall, and the police closed the road behind me and made snowchains mandatory. When I stopped to fit the snowchains, I found the included snowchains where the completely wrong size for the vehicle's wheels! As a result I had to continue driving in the snow until I could find a garage to confirm they were the wrong size, and I then had to buy the correctly sized snow chains at my own expense.
This is completely unacceptable and put me in a very dangerous situation. I therefore recommend any of the several other vendors at Turin airport instead of Autovia.
