AVOID - Especially if you are a BELLWAY customer. They are completely impartial and act for the developer because of the amount of money they’re clearly making from Bellway recommendations. Painful experience throughout. Got charged the same for a legal conveyancer rather than a solicitor. Dealt with Shona Archer - extremely poor communication, rarely ever answered the phone, constantly out of office. She didn’t ask the proper conveyancing questions which we had to probe her to ask. Raised various disputes over land and conveyancing plans, she was quite clearly on the developers side. Eventually, she lost all contact with us and we didn’t even hear from her on the day of completion which was pretty shocking - despite her being in the office. We were also overcharged on our completion statement - thankfully we picked this up. AVOID - Pay the same money and go somewhere who’ll actually ask the proper questions and be on YOUR SIDE.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with one of your solicitors when my mother died. The female solicitor in question was the quintessential arrogant, rude solicitor, devoid of any compassion. When I complained her manager took her side and disbelieved me. My previous dealings with this firm were very good but it just takes one bad apple who is protected by an incompetent manager to leave a nasty taste and lose clients.

We have just recently completed on a sale and a purchase and used Coffin Mew Portsmouth as our conveyancers. I hand on heart cannot fault a single thing in their service. Our conveyancer Amanda Paardekooper was second to none, and provided an exceptional service. She explained every enquiry in detail over the phone to me, and replied to emails and enquiries from our buyers and sellers solicitors almost immediately (even if that meant it was past 5pm!). The whole process with 4 people in a chain took 10 weeks which was absolutely brilliant. 100% would recommend Amanda & Coffin Mew!

Natalie Marsh was recommended to us by our developer. The service we received from her and the team was absolutely amazing. Everything was happening really quick. All our questions were answered promptly and clear. All documents were prepared and sent to us with great level of care and attention. They were working hard to find the solutions for us and move ahead without causing unnecessary stress of the process. The fees were extremely reasonable and made clear to us on onset without bad surprises. Our solicitor was Natalie, however I feel they have a great deal of teamwork, and everyone is very nice and friendly and clear.

If you are looking for a solicitor then do yourself a favor and DO NOT use these clowns. They are that bad its quite frankly embarrassing. We chose them to handle probate after my wife's father died. 13 months later and we are still being messed about with no end in sight. Asking us questions now that we gave answers to a year ago and telling us things we should of been told months ago! They have made a miserable time for my family MUCH more stressful!

Terrible let down of service.
We used coffin mew for conveyancing in both sale and purchase which was completed in February 2022. We had a terrible experience from start to finish, some of coffin mew employees were rude and unhelpful. Some of the exchanges I had with them left me in tears with worry and stress. Right when we were due to exchange another solicitor at coffin mew highlighted to us that some important documents were missing and should have been dealt with by our regular solicitor. Then right when we were due to complete, another solicitor at coffin mew highlighted to us that an error had been made in our bill and we actually had only 24 hours left to transfer a further 850 quid. It transpired this was due to a maths error in adding up numbers on our bill. Shocking and terrible service overall and would never recommend

I have just used the services of Coffin Mew to sell a property. My main contact was Sacha Bolourchi and I cannot recommend him highly enough. To say the process was easy, stress free and straightforward is an understatement! I have bought and sold a number of properties before and this was by far the BEST conveyancing experience I've had. Communication was easy but above all it was fast as quick responses are what you want during housebuying or selling. I also think the price was excellent value. Thank you Coffin Mew :-).
