Ian Peach worked tirelessly to make my house sale & onward purchase happen. We exchanged under 5 weeks from the time he was appointed. He answered all our questions quickly & gave us salient advice. His colleagues at the office & via email & phone were helpful & efficient. I cannot fault the service provided & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Great experience using coffin mew when buying our first home. They have been quick to reply to enquiries and patient when explaining the things we had no idea about. Very helpful and would definitely use them again!

While the staff were friendly and helpful when you speak to them, it was incredibly difficult to actually speak to anyone, especially the person who was dealing with my case. I constantly left voicemails and sent emails and even asked other colleagues to pass on requests to contact me and provide me with updates and rarely did I get a response back.

I spent a great deal of time chasing things myself to ensure they stayed on track and I don’t feel I got the best service for my money from Coffin Mew. One of the documents that was produced for me was incorrect - the system they use to auto populate information wasn’t working properly. Had this document been proof read, it should have been clear that the information wasn’t correct, so it shows how little care is taken.

This should have been stress free as I had no backward chain as I was previously renting, and I had no forward chain as it was a new build property. All in all I can’t really recommend Coffin Mew’s services, all I can really say is that I got there in the end due to the effort spent at my end chasing. I hate to imagine how much more aggro there might have been if chains had been involved!!

A friend of ours referred us to Sacha Bolourchi, who helped with our first property purchase. He did an excellent job at explaining us the entire process, regularly updating us about the latest developments, and most importantly working promptly to meet tight deadlines, which in the end saved us a lot of money. Highly recommend him to anyone.

We were introduced to Coffin Mew by the developers.

Every step of the process of buying our first home was delayed. We were told that they hadn’t received documents from us, when we had posted them first class 3 weeks prior, these were confidential documents so when I questioned them and said I need to speak to Royal Mail, they miraculously appeared!

We were constantly asked to fill out paperwork we have already done and when we pushed back saying this we wouldn’t get a response for a week, wouldn’t answer calls/emails.

I constantly felt like they were trying to delay the process and and communication was awful, considering I am a first time buyer this was very stressful.

I would definitely recommend Coffin Mew Solicitors if you are buying a new build property. They have been nothing but helpful, always answering my questions/concerns and worries quickly and professionally. At times with the amount of paperwork it has been frustrating for me but they explained every process along the way. Kirsten was amazing and did all the original work for me and then Lauren saw me through to the finish line. Thank you both so much for making this process a much easier one.

I was very happy with the service from all the staff at Coffin Mew especially Natalie and Amy. My calls were always answered straight away and any concerns I had were dealt with quickly. The staff were knowledgeable, polite and efficient. All my paperwork was completed on time and the money transactions were followed up with confirmations for peace of mind.

I started the purchase of my new home last summer, but as it was an off-plan new build things took time. I found the firm to be very friendly and informative and instructed them. I was updated throughout the purchase which spanned 7 months and issues were highlighted to me along the way. I work long hours so was not always able to call the office but found emails and voicemails a convenient way for the firm to leave me messages that I could then respond to when I could. There were a couple of times when I wasn’t getting an answer as quickly as I would have liked; however, what can one expect when there was a huge push for people to buy new builds and make the most of the stamp duty holiday - it’s not like there are an abundance of spare res prop solicitors around to leverage.

5/5 and thanks a lot to Kirsten for making my first home purchase less stressful than it could have been.

My partner and I bought our first property together. Something that is extremely stressful and coffin mew were there every step of the way! Answering all my questions no matter how small they seemed they were always on hand to help! Would definitely recommend them.
