OUTSTANDING

My experience with David James , I dealt with Dave himself, my whole experience start to finish was outstanding and very professional. This is my first car buying experience from a dealership and it was a absolute pleasure from start to finish. Any concerns ,questions or worries I was put to ease and nothing was a problem to sort. Everything was dealt with quickly and efficiently I would highly recommend this company for its high standard of service and sales, extremely pleased with the whole car buying journey from this company start to finish i can not fault one single thing 💫

I had such a fantastic experience with David James Limited, all thanks to Kylan. From the start, he was professional, considerate, and genuinely took the time to make sure I was comfortable with every step of the process. His communication was excellent—always quick to respond, clear, and helpful.

What really stood out was not just how good Kylan is at his job, but how friendly and easy he was to work with. He made the whole experience smooth, stress-free, and even enjoyable!

Excellent professional service

Excellent professional service
Cannot fault them !
Sold my RS4 after my needs changed and they gave a good price and paid out exactly what and when they said they would.
Don’t bother with other ‘dealers ‘ if you have a quality vehicle these are the guys to deal with .
Special thanks to Kylan for researching the model properly rather than just going with a book value appreciate the extra effort .

Very Professional

I bought my car from David James yesterday, and the whole process was very smooth and pleasant. Jack helped me, and he was extremely professional—he gave me plenty of time to look at the car, answered all my questions, and never pressured me into buying.

So far, I’m really happy with the car. If I notice any issues later, I’ll update my review, but I doubt I’ll need to. Highly recommend!

Just sold my Mercedes C-Class to David James Limited. Professional from the initial call to paying the deposit to secure the car on Day 1
Extremely good communication and professionalism from CJ throughout the process along with Ian who collected the car

Contacted David James through Facebook to sell my car. I was dealing with Kylan who came back promptly with a great price straight away and no haggling.
Make the whole process very easy from start to finish and the money was in my bank before the car left the street.

Would love to buy a car from them in the future…..

Biggest regret of my life

Less than 6 months after purchasing a £40k+ car from David James, I now have no car and am out of pocket a lot of money. The car reared two major faults in this short time and low mileage, david james could not diagnose the fault so it was sent to BMW which couldn't get the car seen for almost 3 weeks. 3 days later a quote of over 3.5k for a starting motor. Warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and won't cover the work. David James has provided very little support and rarely calls back when they state they will. No courtesy car from any party involved and it is coming to nearly 2 weeks in the garage with no progress. I have had to chase every party multiple times daily to communicate and make the decisions on how to proceed. I was told the car would be moved to another garage and repaired there so it would be covered, all of a sudden this wasn't going to happen any more and I have had very little communication from anyone. You don't expect a service like this for such an expensive car. The biggest regret I may ever have is purchasing a car from here. I suggest you avoid at all cost. No sympathy or care for the experience I am facing and it definitely seems like I am just an inconvenience to them.

Great Selling Experience

Recently sold my beloved BMW to David James Limited. Really pleasant guys to deal with, particularly CJ who was my point of contact. Good communications throughout the selling process and on the day of collection their driver arrived on time. After a quick inspection to check the car matched my description all transactions were completed instantly. Would not hesitate to do business with David James Limited again.

DJ did my Haldex clutch oil change…

DJ did my Haldex clutch oil change today, when I went to pick the car up it was still on the ramps as they wanted to show me a broken suspension spring, they pointed out a couple of minor issues. Thanks guys, great service.

Strongly recommend David James

I sold my car with David James and it was brilliant from beginning to end. Kylan was my point of contact and was excellent. It was the most smooth and straightforward process. A great price for my car, easy communication, and collection too. Payment was in the moment and the car was gone with ease. Would 100% recommend to all family and friends and will be using them again for sure!

Friendly professional Garage

My VwGolf booked in today for MOT and 12 month service.
Got there 9.45am service centre on Bellway ind est .
Greeted by Jamie and his fab spanial dog..always made to feel special in this garage.
Advised me it would be around 4 hours and he would call me if any issues.
Sure enough got the call 4 hours later with good news passed MOT and service was routine nothing required as extra
Was offered wash n vac but given the weather I told him not to bother .
Picked the car up all the paperwork ready to go.
Great experience again with this garage my thanks to Jamie and the guys ..much appreciated.

Buyer Beware – Horrendous Experience!!!!

I purchased an Audi Q2 S Line from David James on June 25th, 2023, and unfortunately, this purchase has been nothing short of a nightmare, thats probably an understatement as well. I drove four hours to pick up the car, only to hear a loud, alarming noise from the wheel on my way home. A mechanic confirmed it was a dangerous issue, and the vehicle needed immediate attention. The director at David James reluctantly offered to cover the cost “out of goodwill,” as the repair was needed outside of warranty, however it was only outside of warranty as I had no response from the customer service team for weeks. Shame I cant give 0 stars as a review. When David finally agreed to pay for the repair I was then left without my car for three days while it was repaired. The inconvenience was made surprisingly even worse by the number of calls I had to make just to get someone to respond, I got told i'd get calls back, days later still nothing so I would have to RE chase for weeks on end. The guys at the car garage repeatedly told me they "had no idea" about this issue but I dont believe thats true.
They also promised to send a missing parcel shelf to my address that they had forgot to put in the car. After endless calls and false promises to receive bare minimum of a call back, I waited a staggering six months to receive the correct one even after calling the dealership and texting "Ash" to be ignored when I needed assistance —how hard can it be to send a simple part? Its not rocket science?
Four months after purchase, I noticed the heating and air conditioning completely failed and by this time it was October. I travel long distances to and from work hence buying a "reliable car" leaving me in a repeatedly unsafe and unpleasant driving situation, daily. Rainy evenings were particularly difficult with a constantly fogged-up windshield, and it was freezing inside, the window would fog so bad I could barely see anything. When I called to explain how upsetting this was, David James dismissed me by saying, “I’m not arguing with you; these things happen.” He also reminded me of his "good will" act to pay for a wheel damage months prior. He then informed me it was out of warranty and that I should "sort it out myself" at my own expense. Repair estimates for heating and air conditioning were over £1,500—all of this being just four months after buying the car.
Then came the constant coolant issue: I had to refill the coolant every 2.5 weeks, costing me a significant amount over six months. When I looked into exchanging the car, I was told it would leave me in severe negative equity, an option I simply couldn't afford when I'm already paying nearly £300 a month for this defective useless vehicle.
The worst came earlier this year when a coolant pipe snapped while I was on the motorway, causing smoke to pour out of the bonnet and into the car and my face. I was left stranded, paid for a tow, and spent £140 to replace the pipe. A mechanic even suggested this issue 99% existed when I purchased the car last June.
To anyone considering buying a car from this company: save yourself your money, time, stress, and frustration. My experience with David James has been nothing but disappointing, unsafe, and riddled with issues that they failed to address adequately and legally. Avoid this dealership at all costs.

Many thanks for taking the time to review us from your vehicle purchase 17 months ago, We do regrettably agree, certain elements could have been handled better such as communication and the parcel shelf being in the car at collection, we are human and we do on occasion make mistakes. For this, we do sincerely apologise.

However, we would like to take this opportunity to respond to your individual concerns raised as they don't correspond with the factual aspects of what happened.
• The dangerous issue was unable to be initially faulted from an independent workshop as it wasn't immediately distinguishable, and you were asked to return once the noise developed to aid diagnosis, which did turn out to be a wheel bearing. When it was checked, there was no excessive movement which eliminated any safety or dangerous element but we agreed to cover the cost of repair as a gesture of goodwill.
• We do offer all customers a comprehensive 12 month warranty at point of purchase which you opted not to take out. This could have covered the following failures you experienced with the vehicle at any VAT registered garage. We are unable to pre-identify most vehicle part failures because they are generally sudden and unexpected, and as vehicles age, the risk of one of thousands of parts failing becomes greater.
• We do not agree with your Mechanics opinion that the coolant pipe that snapped in 2024 had failed in 2023 and was pre-existing, if this was the case, the vehicle would have needed immediate repairs, not many months later - and after it appears that you had repairs carried out to the heating and AC systems which would have also identified this as needing attention.
We do sell predominantly prestige vehicles which we wouldn't expect to go wrong but we can not be held responsible should an aged, moving part fail. We believe that outside of the warranty we offer, any vehicle running costs must pass to the vehicle owner.

We don't always feel the need to reply to online customer reviews, however, we do firmly believe in full transparency and aside from communicating better with you, do not believe we could have done anything differently.

Kept in the loop and reliable, affordable work done on your vehicle by honest mechanic this is the place to go. From the booking to to collection this is by far the best service I've ever received. They offered a good price for the car followed with an effortless transaction, payment received one hour after collection. Highly recommended.
