The team at Leaders went above and beyond to help secure a property for my son who needed to move at very short notice. We had an issue from our side but Teresa worked with us to get everything sorted and in record time. I can’t praise the team enough and I would definitely recommend them.

Not a great experience so far, we moved into our property just over 2 weeks ago and this was a week after our original move In date. After looking round the property 5-6 weeks before moving in we raised concerns about jobs that would need to be done before we moved in. When we got into the property none of this was complete, including all of the drains in the property being blocked and no use of a toilet for over a week. We then had a leak which has damaged the kitchen ceiling caused by the broken toilet. Furthermore we then entered the house to find the tenant before us household furniture to be thrown in the garden left a complete mess which after numerous emails and phone calls is still not sorted. Communication is poor and is awful that we have paid for a full months rent with issues still not fixed. Not a good experience for time renters like ourselves.

Having dealt with rental companies in the past who either don’t return your calls or put you on a waiting list- I can honestly say this company was amazing. I dealt with a lovely lady called Erin she was so efficient and let us know the status on the application if things changed. She negotiated a moving in date with the owner and organised a suitable time for the keys to be picked up. On collection they even gave a complimentary moving in box containing some lovely goodies. If you are looking to rent a property definitely call Leaders as your starter.

Absolutely AWFUL agency! If you’re smart you’ll stay away, no matter how desperate you might be for a house!

They don’t bother with the tenants and does not manage to keep their promises!

Firstly they arranged for us to view our property TWICE and both times they have not showed up or made us aware that they would not make it.

Secondly, they moved us in a house that was in horrendous condition, but promised that whatever needed doing in the house was going to be done.

I could go on and on about how RIDICULOUS they are as an agency, but if I was to write down all the details, it would reach maximum text capacity.

STAY AWAY from them! They’re robbers and liars!

Amy Plummer from the Derby branch is my Property Manager and she has been amazing in dealing with my property. She responds to my queries very quickly and is always nice, polite and efficient. I would definitely recommend her! Thanks so much again Amy!

To use the Latin phrase “Caveat Emptor” is how I would rate my experience with Leaders - Derby.

I put a hold on a studio at the Babington Lane building and have been asking for my hold money, £50 to be returned to me for the past two weeks. It’s not rocket science, it’s pretty much a straight forward request not involving a big amount of money.

I am sick of calling the Derby office getting the run around, by George and Becky in Lettings, stalling, and giving me “bs” empty promises. It’s actually insulting and they are sorely mistaken if they think I am buying their excuses.

First off the building is not even completed. First tell tale sign that something is wrong with this place is the boarded up perimeter of the building at the street level.

I viewed the studio on site which was ok. When I asked to see the common areas ie: the laundry room, movie room, lounges etc, I was told “they’re not complete yet”. Mind you this building has been finished since Spring of 2022. Looks like the owner has run out of money to finish it. I was told it will be finished by the beginning of September. When I asked to see the two locations I was told they were being finished up. Mind you there was NOT a tradesman/men in sight, not a saw, a drill, not a hammer, in sight or being used. No builders vehicles or the like anywhere within the vicinity.

Misrepresentation of a buildings features and what is included as part of the monthly rent is against the law. When you rent a studio, you not only rent the studio you buy into the whole building and what it has to offer, not just some of it.

If your a student looking to rent in this building, consider other options. And if your requesting to get you “hold money” back, you can probably kiss that goodbye because Leaders - Derby will not be doing so anytime soon. Definitely not a good look and definitely unprofessional. The experience is akin to a slick used car salesman.

Do not rent with this company whatsoever.

Apart from the fact they hardly ever answer the phone, I'm not impressed with Leaders Derby. I had a property viewing arranged which was confirmed by text but nobody turned up and phone calls go to answerphone which is par for the course with Leaders as arranging the viewing was a nightmare in the 1st place. I certainly wouldn't let them manage any of my properties!

In response to Leaders reply (where they requested I call the manager, Emma) I've tried to call 11 times.. most go to an answerphone which asks for a mailbox number (?) and the others just get cutoff 🤷🏻‍♂️ I did eventually get them to call me back through the Sales office and Joe put the phone down on me when I was explaining how disappointed I was with their service.. thanks Joe.

we recently has some miscomunication regarding a 3rd Party mid term inspection, and Poor communication (*In fact no communication from 3rd party) despite several emails, Amy Plummer looked into this Personally called to appologise and resolved the issue owning the Problem and not giving in until a resolution was reached, My thanks to Amy for he dillagence and attention to detail and customer support I recieved it was much appreciated

Using this agency has been my worst experience of this year so far! I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy!!
I have concluded that it’s either the staff are poorly trained, inefficient, deceitful “unprofessionals” or they are just downright insensitive and nonchalant which is the wrongest thing to be as a letting agency!!! Being a customer care rep myself, It’s sad that I’ve had to experience such abysmal service that has taken a toll on my mental health really.
I didn’t read up on reviews until it was too late…save yourself from them now while you can.

Leaders are an estate agent with local knowledge and I have used them to manage the rental of the property prior to selling it through them. I'm glad it's all over!

I also don't believe my tenant was vetted accurately, so I'm going to be terminating.

Leaders especially the derby branch are awful the “guide” who are meant to have the info on the property that you go to view seem to be from another planet Jo in particular he left us with the landlord for over an hour left us with no info he was not interested at all to the point the landlord didn’t know what to do luckily she was a very nice lady and we just got into a general chat. Further more, we had no updates from the property at all after the viewing as we wanted to put a deposit down asp which we told Jo. We viewed the property on the Saturday and I only heard back from leaders when I rang on the following Wednesday and he said that the property has now been let! Even tho we was told on Saturday that they will contact us Monday to get the applications going for us. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened due to leaders their service is awful and I’m surprised landlords are still going with them AVOID at all cost it’s disgusting

I can’t thank Emma enough! I have been looking for a property for a while now and her professionalism and excellent service helped me secure the perfect property! I can’t recommend her and the office enough!

Most estate agents leave people wondering what they got for the fees that they have paid. Not with Sophie. Her professionalism and efficiency shone through. It was a pleasure having her to hand. She made the whole process seamless and I couldn't recommend her more if I tried. Brilliant service!
