I have been a GEM member for years with a brief break to go with Rescuemycar.
Now back with GEM when my clutch went over 70 miles from home.
I was really worried but Paris at GEM sorted it all out for me. No questions asked. Well only a few.
I was recovered to my chosen garage in my home town by Euroroute and full marks to Connor at Euroroute. What guy I was not only recovered but entertained on the way by a highly intelligent young man.
Paris called on the way back to check I was OK
Overall I could not ask for better service. I will not be changing provider again. GEM is the best

My first plus is the quick response times after logging a breakdown. They always respond within the projected times and sometimes arrive within an hour of call-out. Secondly, I've been impressed by the knowledge and experience of mechanics I've seen. Not only have they got me going promptly, they have also given helpful advice on ways to avoid future issues. In summary, I think GEM membership provides great value for money with excellent customer service.

What a brilliant service GEM provided when I broke down. It was 25 minutes from breaking down to being driven home via a break down truck. Amazing. I had three welfare phone calls which was brilliant. My reimbursement was paid on time. Highly recommend GEM.

Can't speak highly enough of GEM, we have had to use them a 4 times, since we first joined over 10 year ago. Every time someone from the recovery company has arrived within 30 minutes of our call to assess our situation, and where we have to be transferred home, the recovery vehicle has arrived within the hour. Also GEM staff kept us informed of what was happening and even after arriving home GEM phoned to check we were ok. Many thanks GEM.

From the first contact with Customer service, we knew we had made the right choice in breakdown cover for us. Customer services clearly explained the different covers and helped us in making the right choice for our needs. Broke down at the traffic lights on a roundabout contacted GEM within a few minutes I had a phone call from a lady called Sophie telling me she would be with us in 30 minutes time which she was. Gem phoned twice in that time to check we were ok. Sophie arrived in the time stated and had our car loaded and back home within 30 minutes. Very impressed.

My call was answered promptly. A rescue vehicle was dispatched and arrive in half an hour. The tracking facility of the app was really useful to see the progress of the vehicle. When the repair could not be carried out a recovery vehicle came in a further half an hour to take the car to the garage that I wished to use. So the whole process was completed in under two hours.

Broke down and used the app for the first time to report breakdown. Recovery confirmed in 5 minutes and arrived in 35 minutes. Arrived at my local garage within 50 minutes of breakdown.

The operator was extremely helpful and kept us posted all the time while we waited for recovery. The recovery truck arrived quicker than expected. We even got a call while we were being transported home to make sure everything was going okay.

We reported the breakdown at 11.57 and were told LEE HIRE would arrive at 13.28. Ie a 90 minute wait. They arrived at 13.47. Ie c 20 minutes late and around 2 hours from the first report. They fixed the issue within minutes.
I don't really have any issues with this BUT Lee Hire had to travel many miles from the South Coast (Arundel?) to get to us. So no local contractor?
Overall no complaint as it was an 'At Home' breakdown. I would ave been more concerned if I had been on a Motorway!

App to report Puncture from pothole was easy for even a technophobe like me. We drove to our destination on flat run tyre and assistance arrived as promised half an hour later and were able to outsource new tyre for the morning. Tyre arrived as promised and was fitted within 15mins. Everyone very helpful and pleasant.
