Burnley branch - dangerous

Laughable at the Burnley branch, bordering on dangerous. Suggesting buying dental appliances off Wish, giving me false information on multiple topics and even the dental work failed multiple times.

I'll give you credit, before the change in management and when the branch first opened it was good but now it is nothing but a clown show. When I wrote a review about them on another platform they replied with "since this was years ago we can't comment", It was the prior week.

DO NOT GET TEETH STRAIGHTENING HERE

This review is of their practice in Sheepscar, Leeds.

Whilst the dentists and the staff are very lovely, the service is utterly incompetent, negligent, and substandard.

What they don’t tell you, until you have already agreed to the service and paid, is that the dentist who offers the Clear Correct doesn’t actually work at the practice. They can only offer you one appointment a month (as this dentist only attends once a month) and if you cannot attend this appointment or if the dentist cannot attend the practice that month, your treatment will be delayed a full month.

I experienced significant delays to my treatment due to dentist availability. I raised many concerns about being left with a retainer designed to be used for 2 weeks, for months on end, but these concerns were largely ignored. I didn’t feel as though the practice really cared once they had taken my money.

I raised numerous complaints, which were not responded to until months later after a lot of chasing on my part. I made numerous requests for their complaints procedure, but these were also ignored and I had to locate this for myself. By the time I actually received a response, I no longer even wanted to proceed with my complaint as I had cut my losses and given up trying to deal with the practice.

The service was that bad that I ended up quitting my treatment early, as I no longer wanted to have to deal with them. I gave them over half a year notice that I was moving away, yet there was no urgency on their part to get me an appointment to finish my treatment on time and was left with the option of quitting my treatment or completing a 100 mile round trip each time I needed an appointment.

Once I had decided to quit the treatment, the final retainer I ordered wasn’t remotely straight and was nothing like the previous set I had been wearing, meaning I yet again faced further delays in having to get this reordered.

I feel as though I didn’t get the service I paid for and that the delays caused by the practice’s negligence means that my teeth are not fully straight and I am not fully happy with them, but at this point I would rather this than ever having to go through dealing with them again.

Superb service in an emergency

Needed an emergency filing the day before flying to US. The tonyrefail team were brilliant. Within one hour I was sat in the chair. Treatment was swift painless and properly explained. I can not praise the staff more. Thank you

Been with same dentist in Formby for 46…

Been with same dentist in Formby for 46 years. As a result of Covid, and a subsequent cardiac arrest/heart failure, was unable to get my check up within the two year period, so I was kicked off the NHS list. Thanks [my] dentist!

Excellent Dentist …

My dentist is the Academy practice at 86 Crown st aberdeen l have been going for many years to Mr.Wallace who is an excellent Dentist but he has now left the practice l now have another Dentist at the same practice Claire Burrell she is very pleasant polite friendly and professional l appreciate the fact she assesses the problems and explains the best treatment plan for me she is also like Mr.Wallace a top notch Dentist l would highly recommend her to others.

GRATE SERVICE.

I visited this clinic in leeds skinner RD.as a new private patient after many years without dental treatment, and I’m very impressed with the care I received. Dr. Deepti Jain took the time to show me photos of my teeth before and after treatment and clearly explained why the small corner fillings were necessary — the enamel had worn away, and she showed me exactly where.
She also completed my cleaning properly and removed all the tartar that had built up. She explained that my brushing technique was incorrect and showed me the right way to brush and floss to prevent tartar in the future. I really appreciated the clear explanations and honesty.
The dentist also listened when I mentioned the price displayed on the window was outdated and said she would get it updated. She explained why my first appointment didn’t have enough time — because I was a new patient with no records, and they didn’t know how long I would need. Today everything was done properly with the right amount of time.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the treatment, the professionalism, and the transparency. Thank you to Dr. Jain and the dental nurse for their excellent care.

Disgusting unsatisfactory treatment

Went to my dentist Wimborne yesterday for a scale and polish. The staff were messing around instead of getting on with their work. Was kept waiting well past my appointment time. When I did eventually get in to see Kamia Anvaripour instead of getting on with my scale and polish she stuck one of her tools into the back and front of all my top teeth in fact she did it twice on the right hand side. This took at least 15 minutes. By the time she had done my gums were bleeding and very sore so much so that when she then said she’d then get on and do my scale and polish I said that she had made my gums to sore to be able to do the treatment. I came out very upset with the whole experience. My mouth was that sore that I had to go without my evening meal as I couldn’t eat it.

Poynton branch no disabled parking so…

Poynton branch no disabled parking so parked where many spaces either side then staff member comes speeding in her mercedes and blocks my door so unable to exit. Had to then move car

Mydentist, Wimborne - Dorset: 5* Care

This is a review for the private orthodontic treatment clinic upstairs.

All staff from the reception team, particularly Carly, and then all clinical staff, particularly Dr Sara Belo are simply brilliant.

The clinical care and expertise are outstanding and the customer service is top notch.

While it is commonly known that dental treatments are generally pricy anywhere, at least you can see where your money is going here and everything that follows is one great experience with amazing clinical outcomes.

Absolutely atrocious practice in…

Absolutely atrocious practice in Chesterfield. Had root canal treatment in which the dentist said it had cracked (probably due to being heavy handed!) Then I got an abscess probably due to the lack of hygiene practices, and now they are on about a bridge, although he had previously mentioned an implant! Couldn’t make an appointment, and rang on lunchtime which was closed for an hour and a half, and then told I have to pay for the missed appointment! Am still waiting for my £800 back I have also paid. Avoid this money grabbing company at all costs. You’ll be worse off in more ways than one!

Disappointing Experience with Unhelpful Advice
Review: I had an unpleasant experience at mydentist. During my visit, the dentist told me that if I was in pain, I couldn’t keep coming back for treatment. This was extremely frustrating, as I expected better care and support for my dental issues. Instead of providing solutions, I felt dismissed. It’s important for a dental practice to show empathy and offer guidance for managing pain or providing appropriate treatment. I hope they improve their approach to patient care in the future.

Wellington dental practice is a bit of…

Wellington dental practice is a bit of a joke. So I called a few days ago and asked when my next routine checkup was. It was in April they they told me. I asked if I could bring it forward due to a few concerns. I was told unfortunately my dentist is pretty busy, I the mentioned I had some soreness and wow an appointment appeared 2 days later which I booked. I then visited the sun website and noticed you offered dental plans which I think are great value for money. I signed up for plan A and read the terms and conditions beforehand and it didn’t mention anything about having to wait to use the plan and once setup I should be good to go. So I ran the dentist today and asked if I can use this plan to cover my upcoming checkup on Thursday and I was told “NO” the response was, we expect patients to be on the plan a couple of months before you can use it. I explained no where in the website or within the terms and conditions does it mention this, again she stated it’s been the same way ever since she can remember, so what you’re saying it’s the practices preference that members wait a few months before using it but it’s not a requirement and she said yes. I was told the reason they want patients to wait to use it is because some folk have had treatment and I hen cancelled it. Well I’m sorry love that’s the nature of any subscription there’s a chance anyone can and will cancel but I shouldn’t be penalised based on others behaviours. I have been a patient for a number of years. So I’ve been told I must pay for tomorrows appointment. Joke of a dentist

Gone extremely downhill

Due to all practices taking on new patients who have only just arrived in the UK. You cannot get an emergency appointment. You won't be a priority & most of the actual dentists aren't English either so youll struggle . Used to be seen same day but now have to wait & suffer or ring 111 who are equally as useless ! Customer Service ran by AI & bots . With regards to the reply. I DID " contact the practice " directly & was told there are no more appointments. Yet from past experience when you go in on an emergency appointment the dentists is quiet - but imply they're busy

Ivr had the most fantastic experience…

Ivr had the most fantastic experience and outcome using my dentist in Hinkley for teeth straightening.
After a lot of searching online I come across my dentist Hinckley as soon as I reached out to get information Jelena had come back to me answering all queries getting me booked in at convenient time for me as I don't live locally.

Om arrival on my first appointment/consultation Jelena explained everything so thoroughly giving me my options for clear correct and invisilign. Once my consultation and scan was done I'm no time I had come back to have my first retainer fitted with Jelena and Kirra again very informative.

After finishing my treatment I couldn't be happier with my results and the service I've received from Jelena and Kirra.
Such a friendly but professional practice.

I wish Iived closer to the practice as I would definitely have Jelena as my regular dentist.

My husband joined this dentist

My husband joined this dentist. Paid £355 for a filling, hygienist, X-rays and initial joining. Signed up to a £25 a month plan. I assumed this was for discount on visits.
A few weeks after the filling next to the tooth treated fell out Coincidentally !. Made appointment was quoted £1350 for a filling £350! and a crown £1000!as apparently the filling was large. Told me may need root canal treatment. When he phoned to tell me I laughed thinking he was joking. There was no way we could afford that as just paid to go on holiday. Reviewed dentist abroad where we were visiting and made appointment. He had a filling. No crown or root canal treatment needed as the tooth had already had root canal treatment which my dentist would have known. Didn’t even need an injection as the nerve was dead. This was in January his tooth was filled in Europe and his tooth has been fine. Total cost €60 Euros equivalent to approx £54. Avoid Mydentist at all costs. They are now chasing him for £50. He cancelled the monthly standing order and will not return. Currently making a complaint about this company through a complaints system

Only if you're rich...

EDIT:
Dear MyDentist,
I have spoken with both my local practice and your head office, and both have told me that there is nothing they can do and that I have to wait what is now one month and twelve days before they will do anything. That is the first gap in their diary, apparently.
I have to wait because they need to take impressions to make me dentures. The dentist, on examining me, said that my tooth was "very loose" and it would have to come out at the earliest opportunity, which happens to be April 21st.
I have no idea if it's infected.
I have no idea if I have an abcess.
I have no idea if I need antibitotics.
Karen, from your member care team at head office was, at first, very kind and helpful but on my second call expressed exasperation with me because I could not communicate to her how much pain I was in. Both your head office and the practice have basically told me to shut up and wait.

111 won't help me because I have a dentist (you) so they won't extract it.
You won't help me immediately because I'm nothing more than a dreg and a serf who can't even begin to afford the elite prices you charge.
In the meantime, I am stuck in the middle, in more pain than I've ever been in my life. I am starting to wonder whether living through the next month in this much pain is worth living at all.
I have had 3 hours sleep at the most in the last 5 days.
I can't eat or drink.
I am feeling so incredibly down, depressed, hungry, tired and I've never felt this low and been in as much pain in my life.

I find it not just disgusting but disturbing that your members of staff think it's perfectly acceptable for a human being to live in this much pain for over a month, but I guess that's exactly what I deserve because I'm a dreg, and a serf, and I'm not worth your dentist's time.

This is a company that expects its patients to wait over a month to get an excruciatingly painful tooth removed.
They claim the diary is full, but if I wasn't an NHS customer (exempt), and I threw a pile of money on the table, they'd see me straight away and I would be pain-free.
But because I'm one of the dregs of society, I have to wait. Because to them, people like me are less than nothing.
There are other dental practices who treat their customers with much more respect. Please register with them and avoid these people.

Obnoxious and money grabbing with ZERO real patient care.

Firstly, they won’t treat me as NHS patient but have capacity to see me as a private patient. Secondly after spending YEARS trying to find a dentists I was given a treatment plan amounting to thousands. Not being able to afford that straight away I have put it off until I could afford it. But now I’ve been told that because I’ve not taken up the treatment plan in 2 months (when they’ve continually harassed me to take out a credit plan to pay for despite me telling them I can’t afford a credit agreement payments) they’ve just told me their policy is to start again with another check up. I was put through to the staff member who deals with cancelling treatment plans who wouldn’t let me speak, shouted me down and was extremely short and rude to me. I am now stuck in pain, with no treatment, a condition that isn’t going to go away but that I’ve just about managed during this time and a complete distrust for this company.

Not what it was

Before it was my dentist o had been going to collington all my life since 16 never a prob never upset even travels all the way from Dumfries to come here I went and had crown done and death cleaning done staff told me we will only clean front then crown fell out on way home went back gave them second chance fell out again they gave me my money back and wanted to stop me going back I suffer from trauma and am not being ganged up on I paid private all during Covid when this was my dentist left with no dentist and disabled avoid
