I made an emergency appointment as I had lost two lower front teeth. On keeping the appointment, the person I saw told me that my teeth required a deep clean. I was confused and explained why I was there, she said she could deal with my request and asked if I would like to go ahead with the clean. I said yes and she went on to say that she would have to refer me to someone else if I requested further treatment giving me no explanation of treatment charges. I was charged £64 for making the appointment and £77 for the hygiene. My contention is that I should not have been charged the £64 initial appointment charge as I would not have made an appointment for a hygienist. I am 87 years of age with only 8 teeth.

We have just been into the practice for our 1 year olds first dentist visit and what an experience. We were met with Ines and Emma who were so wonderful, extremely informative and made us feel at ease. Plus Ines was a winner with our daughter, between blowing up gloves and a sticker for being good. It truly was a lovely first time.

Told me that i grjnded my teeth
That's why my teeth were broken. I now have found out that if I grind my teeth it would wake me up and it doesn't.

I contacted your practice on two separate occasions regarding severe tooth pain, caused by two loose teeth, a cracked filling, and the possible need for two further fillings. On my first visit, I was advised that I would need to telephone for an emergency appointment.
When I called today to do so, the receptionist was dismissive and discourteous, and did not appear to take my symptoms seriously. I was informed that I would have to wait until February for an appointment, despite explaining that I was in significant pain. I found this response unacceptable and lacking in basic compassion and professionalism.

MYDENTIST, Cinderford, Glos.
Mixed. The hygenist was excellent. The dentist, well, what can I say - when you pay £200 for a filling you do expect it to last longer than 7 weeks. The first one that fell out, I put it down to bad luck. On 4th September 2025 I had another checkup and was told I would have to pay again to replace that filling (I declined), but was also told I needed 2 more fillings and so had 2 more new fillings. The one filling that cost £200 fell out on 9th November. Not impressed with the standards. I'll not be going back.

Withheld NHS care, refused referral, then dropped me after I complained – documented to GDC/CQC/NHS
I attended MyDentist – Stevenson Square (Manchester) with a failed root canal and broken crown. Instead of providing NHS treatment or referring me (as nearby NHS practices confirmed they would accept with referral), the manager Samantha Bates pushed a £2,000 private plan and blocked the NHS route. When I escalated, they sent a password-locked “rejection letter,” then deregistered me citing “breakdown of trust” instead of referring me. An emergency dentist later confirmed the tooth was salvageable.
I have submitted evidence to GDC, CQC, NHS England, and the Ombudsman (emails, PDFs, timelines). This looks like withholding care, referral obstruction, and retaliation after a legitimate complaint. Patients deserve NHS pathways, not sales pressure.
(I will happily provide my evidence to regulators and journalists on request.)

Molar extraction .
I am so impressed by the care and treatment I have received from Araz at Salisbury 2 surgery I felt compelled to write a review.
The whole team are delightful , welcoming, attentive and obviously enjoy where they work .
The extraction process was most certainly nothing like the dentistry experiences of my earlier life .
Pain free slightly uncomfortable but my goodness I almost cannot wait to return for the rest of my treatment next year.
A genuine Merry Christmas to you all and enormous gratitude for the exemplary service !
Gold star and 10 out of 10

You are everything that is wrong with dentistry in this country.over charging for basic work inc £140 for 11 minutes with a hygienist to having to wait so long for an expensive root canal treatment the tooth was lost and oh by the way it’s £3500 to replace 1 tooth.now due to your incompetence your chasing me for £191 and being told to make sure I pay and now after 7 days the threatening letters have arrived saying debt recovery are coming to my door.good luck with that.absolutely disgusting service that just wants money above all else

My Dentist in North Walsham has been looking after my teeth for five years now and I have always received excellent treatment from Jennifer, my dentist. She's a very professional lady hence I have complete confidence in any treatment that she recommends.
I registered with Mydentist when I couldn't get a national health Dentist. Now, if that situation was to change I would be very reluctant to go National Health unless I could continue to be treated by Jennifer.

Why is my dentist voicemail saying closed until further notice???

Had an issue with some treatment, they said they would look into it in mid October. It's now mid December and despite reminders, they ignore me. Worst dental support I have ever experienced!

In response to the reply here: The generic response is disingenuous. Neither they or the practice manager have the courtesy to respond. It seems that using MyDentist is a lottery and there is no recourse if you experience a problem.

If there’s a rating below 1 star, I will gladly give to them. Bunch of useless incompetent staff. I was attended to by a doctor called sarah, first I was prescribed a UV protection which is absolutely disgusting and not effective for any form of protection. Secondly, I was undercharged by this useless dentist and they called me after 9weeks that I underpaid them and they must take the payment same day or else? Issuing me useless threat over their incompetence. So horrible services. Use them at your own risk. Good luck.

I have recently visited the My dentist in Carlisle, Aglionby street to see the hygienist Ruth Greensmith. From entering the building, I felt welcomed and well looked after. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The care I received from Ruth and Stacey the dental nurse was outstanding. They were skilled and knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend them both and this practice. Thank you.

Bad management. Very disappointed, Unprofessional unfair treatment, I have had mine and my wife's appointments last-minute cancellations TWICE in a row, and offered appointments in over a month time. we are having to wait months for dental treatment. Very inhumane treatments. I hope 3rd time lucky !!!!!

Terrible, with a string of unfortunate events that left me mobileless I was unable to call up to my appointment to let them know I was unable to even make it being stuck. It was not reasonable to remove me from the clinic and I think personally they need to grow the heck up and realise people have issues.
I personally suffer from ADHD, autism and other issues. Yet just because I've missed two appointments not in order either they removed me from the clinic personally, if I see one of em it will be the last thing they are

Had a back tooth extracted in early July at Norwich branch. To date (beginning of December) I have had 6 splinters of the tooth work their way through the gum, with another on the way.

I called mydentist in Morley Leeds they have just opened a massive surgery in the town center , my teeth had fallen out curtosy of being pescribed the wrong medication by the nhs , digoxin was the pill in question I reported this to the free nhs hospital got completely messed about nothing done the nhs never admit their mistakes just cover them with lies , anyway mydentist they wanted 49, 99 to do a check plus 124 quid for every tooth pulled , so if you have three teeth for example or thirty two teeth it costs you the same to have a check up . I was fuming I'm not entitled to free treatment in my own country oh and the 124 for extraction is the lower estimate it can go to two hundred plus per tooth .talk about greed ,, thank you Tories and labour I wish somebody paid my bills like you lot get , now you know why this firm is opening up everywhere at an alarming rate disgusting rip off . ,, (now where did I put those pliers ) i will not be using these ever absolute scam and greed merchants avoid at all costs ,,PLEASE . Thank you for the response so how much will a full set top and bottom cost and three teeth out ? . I await your response . I never got a response from my question, funny that my point proved

Well, where to start. 28/10/2025 dental exam with hygiene, no problems, lovely female dentist and dental assistant. "Oh you have an implant? Yes I do. Xrays done, no issues with the implant or the crown that I have. Dentist advised I see their dental implant chap. Off I trot today to see the dental implant dentist, gave him my implant card with all the implant details. He lokkoed at the implant, "yes all good" looked at the xrays done at previous visit, "Yes all good" Advised annual implant checks. Whole time in his room, less than 10 minutes. I thought it was a free visit. Nobody discussed costs prior to seeing him. He did NOTHING, looked around the implant, that was it. Went to reception, that'll be £60. I was/am fuming, not amused with the original dentist advising me to go see him, not amused with an 8 min appointment cost £60. I have cancelled my annual look at my tooth for £60 next year. What a total scam. No wonder dentists get a bad rep. Shocking. In a time where every penny counts (well for my husband and I it does) this is blatant highway robbery, guy should be wearing a mask (oh yeah...he was lol). But seriously it's a complete rip off and I am now £60 down on my shopping allowance for the month. Hope they enjoy my hard earned cash, I'll struggle this month now. Thanks My Dentist Prestwick.

I booked a private dental check-up at MyDentist Denton and paid £75 upfront. I received SMS the next day and the day before my appointment, so everything seemed fine.
However, when I arrived at the practice on the day of the appointment, the receptionist told me it had been rescheduled. I received no call, no SMS, no email informing me of this change. The only notification I got was when I was already standing at the reception.
I completely understand that dentists can call in sick or emergencies can happen, but it takes seconds to send an SMS. For a private patient who has paid in advance, this lack of communication and consideration is unacceptable.
Overall, I left feeling that they simply don’t care about their patients, and the experience was both frustrating and disappointing.
