Always have a great experience at the Clacton practice, Michelle and Dannie always have a smile and a laugh, lovely practice, glad I’m a customer there.

As I am rather old in the tooth(ha ha). I experienced many moons a go a very bad pain. Also as I suffer from anxiety. It’s scary going to the dentist.
Having just joined and needed two fillings. I was delighted with Aishwarya Arul Sothy and the clinician girl. They both put my mind at ease from the start and throughout the procedure. Absolutely no pain with the after procedure having no pain either.

Had a filling done 8 months ago at the Coalville dental practice. The filling fell out in the last few days (meant to last 7 years minimum). I then called the practice to book in and they told me since the dentist who did the filling had left I would now have to have a check up and then at a later date have a new filling. All of which I had to pay for. When this happened in the past, at a different practice, I had a new filling appointment within a few days all free of charge.
Horrible customer service. Shoddy work. Clearly only care about how much they make and not the customers.

Mydentist in Great Cornard Sudbury, I've been with this practice since before covid and was so pleased when after covid it opened up and were taking back there original patients as nhs! But recently it's been absolutely awful there! They have cancelled 5 times in a row! Booking me in only to cancel the nxt day or next week! Something is very wronge! I'm looking elsewhere and praying another nhs dentist becomes available! I would not recommend this dentist at all!

NHS My dentist Coalville- Leicestershire
Well it’s been awful. We were recommended this dentist.
Firstly, my partner and I were told we need 6 fillings (3each) neither of us had pain or had concerns about our teeth. This was just a check up. I thought ‘why do I need filling for teeth I don’t have issues with’. They said it was preventative work. I did not pay extra for fillings. My partner proceeded to pay for two white fillings (that he did NOT need)! After the work the one filling fell out, leaving a perfectly good tooth now with a hole…Fast forward slightly and I’m with a private dentist whom has since told me I need NO fillings.
I also paid £75 for a hygienist clean (more money) once they had finished they told me I could have done with a more intense clean for another £150. So instead of recommending me the intense clean they wanted to get the £75 out of me first, then when I attended my new private dentist they told me,
I’d need a hygienist clean… why?? Because the my dentist might have well not done one. A waste of £75 and then another £75 at my private dentist for an actually clean. (I didn’t need a intense clean either, just a good hygienist clean)
My mother and father in law had whitening treatment. There appointments were cancelled 4 times. By the time they went back they needed more whitening treatment and more money spending. They both work and this was a nightmare for them.
You never see the same dentist and they don’t even remove their face masks to greet people and introduce themselves.
They my 1 and 2 year olds went to the dentist. We walked in and there was an ‘English second language’ speaking lady, who didn’t remove her face mask and did NOT put my children at ease. She looked scary and unfortunately for us wasn’t understandable through her mask. My boy was screaming…. We left that appointment not having a clue what was said to us… it’s awkward to raise this issue. However, people develop life long phobias from the dentist and I want to ensure my children are not shaking and screaming when we attend the dentist. Which on this occasion they were.
I have messages that aren’t for me on a regular basis. Messages with random capital letters, every message has a spelling error. I understand people can’t spell but this is a business and there are plenty of spelling aids, people to proofread and just be more organised and professional. It’s just a shoddy business, ran terribly with the intention of getting every penny extra they can from their NHS patients.
Embarrassingly I brought my family of 4, my parents and my children’s other grandparents to ‘my dentist’. We have all since left.

My dentist is a fantastic dentist, I especially enjoy the warmth of the reception staff on every visit. Jo always has a smile on her face and I appreciate her kindness both with myself and my children who always now enjoy going to the dentist! Carolina will be very missed as she was a fantastic dentist but my visits since with our new dentist have been fab. Thank you to all the team there, including Liz and Julia on reception also.

I can’t say enough good things about my dentist. From the moment you walk in, the receptionists working at the time either Jo, Liz or Julia greet you with a warm smile. They handle everything efficiently, with patience and understanding. What really sets this place apart is how well they manage patients like me with anxiety and autism. My dentist Carolina is gentle, thorough, explains everything clearly and answers all my questions which helps to ease my worries. They truly go above and beyond to make sure I’m comfortable and at ease during my visits. I highly recommend this practice to anyone, especially those who may be nervous about dental appointments!

Twice had my appointment cancelled at my Dentist St Marychurch Torquay. Waste of time. Rather find a more organized and professional company.

I have just had a course of whitening treatment from Irene at the York Road, Doncaster practice. She is a great dentist with a friendly demeanour. The whitening has worked a treat. I am extremely pleased with the result. I did have some sensitivity whilst on the 2 week course but it is worth it for the result. Thankyou Irene

I have been at this practice since 2003. You turn up for your appointment and sometimes you wait up to 30 minutes or more after the appointed time to see the dentist. They would apologise for the wait and you take it on the chin as you accept things happen.
Had a recent text from them advising that I was due a visit.
So I called to make an appointment. Was told that my usual dentist was off on maternity leave. I can get an appointment but only on a Wednesday as that is the only day her cover works? I decided I would take it but the only time available is 9 am nothing later. Knowing what traffick is like at that time in the morning I reluctantly agreed.
Started work early and left for the appointment. As I drew close it was bumper to bumper all the way.
I could see the Mosque at tha corner but knew I was not going to make it. So I called ahead advising I will be little late caught in traffick. Parked in the back and scurried around to reception. As I entered the office it was 10 past and my phone is ringing. The receptionist has the phone in her hands. She looks up and asks are you Franklyn? I said yes. She says with a smile, the dentist says you have to rebook. There was just 1 lady with a child in reception. So they weren't buzzing.
I walked back out the door. But I had to go back and state that all the times I waited past my appointed times over the years did not matter.
So since I pay to see the dentist, I will pay another Dentist of my choosing where I can get an appointment that is convenient to me.
Update: On my return home that day I called to speak to a manager and was told they were extremely busy.
I was instead given an email address.
I am yet to receive a reply.
However a letter dated the same day of the appointment has arrived.
Apparently they have noticed that I did not attend the appointment on the said date. This despite me calling and advising I am just around the corner and them speaking to me moments in the office advising me that the Dentist refuses to see me.
The letter goes on to remind me that I should be giving 24 hours notice of a cancellation so they can reallocate the appointment. This gives the impression the appointment was still available when I walked in.
They are happy to rebook it seems but I have been made aware that should I fail to give 24 hours notice of a cancellation in the future it may result in the practice not being able to provide me with an NHS service.
I also received another text message inviting me to book recently
Luckily for them I intend to save them the bother.

Today I had a root canal and I was extremely nervous, the dentist Joe from the Wallsend surgery was so reassuring ,he explained everything beforehand and then during the procedure told me what he was doing, he was patient and kind and showed professionalism throughout the one hour plus appointment.

Phoebe Mcferan and her colleagues were really good. I attended for my first root canal today, and I was very nervous. She explained the process and was very professional. Her colleagues Byorta (sorry about the spelling) and Izzy were also kind, helpful and very skilled.

Absolutely hopeless. Can't book an appointment without paying in advance but website doesn't let you pay. Can't cancel the provisional appointment with calling the Dentist. Update - I have subsequently phoned to book my appointment and been advised that I have to pay for the check up in advance of the appointment. As I have a check up annually, I am expected to pay them up to a year in advance. It's an absolute scam. After being with this dentist for 20 years, I have now found another. They used to provide an excellent service. Such a shame.

Receptionists talk to you like dirt on the phone but smile in person. Private of course will be different but for us peasants our experiences were very negative.
They are greedy and corrupt.

Well I paid £100 for a dental hygienist to have the airflow clean. In well over 20 years I have been having this done with 100% clean results. Only to be told that I should give up smoking and they can't remove the stains also what have I been smoking ? And that the procedure is for half an hour and maybe I should have bòoked a double session (£200)! Also that I should book for 6 months time and did you know they wanted a deposit of £50! To book a hygienist? Definitely Not!

I paid £85 to see the dentist because I was suffering from sensitivity on a couple of back teeth.
From beginning to end, I felt they were just trying to sell me as much as possible.
The initial online medical questionnaire asked a few health questions….. but then focussed on my desire for teeth straightening, whitening, stain removal, implants, white fillings, dental insurance etc etc
I arrived at the clinic, the receptionist had no idea if I had already filled out this form, but when I answered yes, she told me the dentist would like me to fill out another form asking if I wanted teeth whitening, stain removal, etc etc etc…..
The dentist, started the examination without asking why I was there and without reclining the seat which made it very uncomfortable, I had to ask to be reclined at which point the dentist reclined the seat but ignored my protestations that this was enough until I again felt uncomfortable with my head almost lower than my feet!
I finally managed to explain my problem, but instead of focussing on that he decided to give me a complete check up… which I suppose is professional procedure, but I really just wanted to understand what my problem was…. After 10 minutes, he explained that I needed to have my teeth cleaned two white fillings and to change my toothpaste.
He explained he could clean my teeth now for £70 or I could have it done later for £100
Now, I know dentistry is expensive, but last time I visited, the dentist saw nothing wrong and gave my teeth a quick clean as there was no work to be done.
I thought that was pretty helpful and showed an interest in my oral health.
This time, I felt that the new owners, mydentist, had ensured the focus was upselling, cross selling and maximising cost.
£85 for 10 minutes with no remedial work at all. Not even a little scrape!
Bardsley, Tiverton if you’re really interested! I’m not going to call your practice manager, I believe all the staff I met there did exactly what you train them to do… it’s not the practice I have issues with it’s your business model.

Poor dentistry at Macclesfield resulting in a filling falling out 3 times, not replaced properly, 3 infections, a botched root removal which resulted in having to pay a private dentist to put the botched work right. 3 month delay in hospital dental treatment due to not sending documentation that should have been sent right away. Palms off to endodentust who’s actually not an endodentist. Need I go on.
You state you can’t find me registered. I deregistered on Wednesday after having found a new dentist who is competent. Your practice has caused unnecessary pain and suffering.

I had a appointment in January 2026 three months from now.
I have just received a email stating that appointment has been cancelled.
Another appointment has been made for me in January 2027 fifteen months from now.
Surely I can be seen prior to that, at 78 years old I could be dead before I see a Dentist.
Perhaps that is what they are hoping to get the waiting list down!
