Great company for rent-to-buy electric mopeds for deliveries. Proper checks of the vehicle upon consignment and great Italian made mopeds with light easy-to-replace batteries (much easier to handle than other models I've tried given that they have 2 smaller ones around 7 kgs each rather than one large one per vehicle). Smooth onboarding process overall and very friendly staff. With them for a while now and not regretting it at all. I would definitely recommend them.
Easy process to lease the moped (standard checks done quickly), super friendly team and on top the arrive assistance is great (I had a minor issue with the battery and they sent someone in 20 minutes)

I rented an e-moped from Otto Scooter just end of last year. The process is straight forward everything is online and easy to follow. When I turned up at their garage to pick up the bike a mechanic was going through the check-in process and took pictures of the condition of the bike safeguarding them and me as well. All digitalised not on shabby papers.
Insurance and everything are included in the rental. The e-moped itself is a reliable and easy-to-handle European brand and so far had no issue with it at all.
Straight forward application, easy pick-up and ready to go!
They didn't give me my deposit back,they charged me preexisting damages as an excuse for that. I had my own photos of the scooter when i collected the bike with the preexisting damages. I don't recommend them.

Attempted to rent an electric scooter twice from them in two different years... They accepted the booking, cleared the insurance and scheduled the pick-up. I travelled to their location twice, for pick-up, but as soon as it became obvious that I'm not a delivery rider they started evasive measures and delays until I gave up facing such unprofessional behaviour. For example, today, they never refused the contract, but they claimed a lunch break at the booking hour expecting me to wait them during this time?

I recently rented an electric scooter from Otto Scooters in Hammersmith to act as a replacement to my own electric scooter, whilst it was being repaired. The scooter was extremely slow, unstable and had an awkward weigh distribution, which made cornering difficult and at times unsafe. I am an experienced cyclist, scooter rider and motorcyclist so I over came the issue. Being drawn to the eco-credentials and the impressively low rental price I left their underground car park relatively happy. I only planned to do food deliveries, maybe 2-4 hours during weekends, to keep my uber/deliveroo driver account active until my scooter was returned.
After around 2 week of renting the scooter, when parking up I accidentally dropped the scooter on its left side, the absence of a side kick stand and the awkward weigh distribution meant it fell easily, resulting in the side mirror cracking, the plastic side foot pedal breaking and the plastic back box cracking in the corner. I recorded the damage but did not report it, or return the bike as the damage was superficial and mainly cosmetic, I estimated the cost was going to be minimal.
On around week 8, Friday 3rd December 2021, at around 4pm whilst commuting home from work, the electric scooter begun making a loud sound when accelerating, and the power quickly drained out of the accelerator. Immediately, I contacted Otto Scooters, the customer service representative was rude and unhelpful. I was given the impression he was off for the weekend and didn't want to help me. I explained the situation, he asked for a video recording and told me that it would cost £200 to collect the electric scooter. I knew I could arrange a more cost effective way of transporting the vehicle, so I refused the offer. In response, he suddenly had the capacity to collect the scooter at no cost. The customer service advisor indicated that the mechanic had seen the footage and it was most likely a damaged drive chain. Hearing this I clearly told the representative that I did not want to continue renting substandard equipment and explained I'll cancel the direct debit.
Monday evening, I responded to an oddly worded message relating to the collection of another bike from Otto scooter, and noticed that I had been direct debited. I called to dispute the charges and ask for a breakdown of cost and clarify the situation. The representative immediately begun creating a fictional narrative, and when I interrupted to dispute his claims he begun claiming I was threatening him, very odd behaviour. I calmed him down and explained I just wanted an invoice, suddenly a 'preliminary invoice' appeared within minutes. In this dubious invoice the drive chain was itemised at an above market cost and a replacement engine was listed costing hundreds of pounds... in an electric scooter? Not a motor, or a CPU, but an engine. The representative then offered to have me discuss the matter with his professional mechanics. I refused as I am not a qualified mechanic and the nature of the company became apparent. On hearing me dispute the loss of my deposit, the cost dropped of repairing the scooter had yet again suddenly dropped to meet an "excess" for repair, even though the representative repeatedly told me I only had a third party insurance policy.
I recognise I have lost my deposit to these crooks, and I doubt legal action will occur due to the costs involved and the errors made by both parties but I recommend you avoid this company. Bad quality products and bad customer service which attempts to mislead and levy additional costs for nothing is my experience of this company.
I advise all who see this not to do business with the company.

Otto scooter is a friendly company. The people who work there are very motivated and caring. I had second thoughts about renting the scooter however have stuck with it. Electric gives you the peace of mind :). They also help you when you need support. They have kindly fitted my hippo box with no extra charge all done on the same day. I also find their response is quick when I contact them.

I’m very happy with my electric moped. The bike is amazing. It goes very fast and I haven’t got to worry about buying petrol. I’m able to do easily 100 km per day with the extra batteries. Very good service and would recommend. The bike weighs very little and is good for deliveries and the deal is the best because after two years the bike becomes yours.
