Horrible service. I was a customer for nearly a year, paying a high premium for my 4 year old cat. I never made 1 single claim. Last month I moved home and I had to update my address on their website. Next business day I receive a new premium policy with an increase of £21 a year, already with an update on my direct debit without notice. I called them and their answer was that since I moved address they can increase the premium. I would understand that if I had moved into a war zone. However I moved 15 minutes drive from my previous address. How is that a reason to charge even more, on a top tier policy?
They put me on hold for 32 minutes just to assess the grounds for the charge. I gave up and decided to cancel the policy as there are other providers available, currently charging less for an even better coverage. To cancel the policy I stayed on hold for over AN HOUR!!!
Run away from this service. To charge your bank account, they do instantly, to provide service with integrity it is an absolute fail.

I've taken my pets to the PDSA in Brighton since 2013 and have always given them a good donation. My 13 year old cat had an emergency this morning and they refused to give me an appointment because I hadn't been since 2022. They told me to go to a private vet, when I said I only had £100 & her treatment may cost more, Richard told me it doesn't matter, no appointment. 😏 The PDSA no longer functions as a charity. They say on their website that they will never turn a sick pet away. That's s lie.

Had two claims for my beagle poodle mix, one at 8 months eg gastri issues and second at 12 months grass in ear. Vet bills £1,800 two excesses at £120. Premium about £130. Excellent response and payment on both claims when the dog needed a whole lot of treatment and overnight stays. Expect premiums to rise a bit on renewal as have lifetime cover. But glad of pdsa insurance, funding the charity and being competitive

Upped two of my cats insurance by 30% and then a week later upped my 1.5 year old bengals by 60%!!! One cat is 5 , the other 3 and bengal is 1.5 and these crooks up the renewal by soo much, it’s immoral and disgusting when people are struggling already. I could afford to pay it but I won’t stay with such an immoral company and I feel bad for people that love their pets but can’t afford it due to greedy companies like this

I suffer with PTSD and find form filling etc very difficult was also worried about having to speak on the phone as my anxiety is bad while on the phone.
I called and a lady called Karrie answered the PDSA insurance helpline. I needed insurance for two dogs and Karrie was absolutely amazing, kind, very understanding and so helpful. Karrie sorted the two insurances for me and explained it all with patience. I would recommend PDSA to anyone needing insurance for their pets. The quotes were so much cheaper than I thought and I feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Thank you Karrie.

Easy to complete forms and information points available at every point so you can understand the range of cover etc. The prices offered for both our cats was a great value for money product. PDSA also offered us lifetime cover which is a bonus for us. We are also happy to use a provider which is involved in the care of pets.

It was pretty annoying to find that my dog's renewal quote (from a well known insurer) for a Lifetime policy had jumped from £49.34 to £80.17 per month, despite never having had any cause to make a claim in the few years we had used them, or in her life.
This was not totally unexpected as the market has long penalised older, healthy dogs.
It was therefore rather wonderful to find a Lifetime 3K policy from the PDSA for £36.97 per month.
It was so easy to take out the policy online and their system appears efficient.
Hopefully, we will continue to be claim free!

I can't recommend PDSA enough. My experience with them were amazing. My dog became poorly and passed away 7 weeks later. We put in a claim after initial tests then secondary claim once he had gone. They dealt directly with the vet on both occasions and took all the stress away from what was a horrendous time. Minimal forms to complete. The payments to my bank were very fast. Thank you PDSA.

Just purchased dog insurance and to be fair from what i had with my previous dog this insurance seems very fair and reasonable and really happy I am supporting a very worthy cause too. Never been so happy to set up a direct debit in my life :)

I joined PDSA as my new pet insurance company because I found them to be very good in all that they advertised and they look like a good insurance company to be with. Hopefully I won't need their services but I feel that I am covered better and for a more reasonable price should I need to use their services with regards to my pet's health.

It was really easy to switch policies to PDSA. The insurance policy offered has great cover for a reasonable price. The only negative I have is that dogs that aren't microchiped aren't covered if they're lost. Everything else is perfect.
