Very fast, was here within a hour late at night and repaired tyre. They seem nice and friendly and easy and quick to communicate with!

We had an unexpected car break down on the way to the ferry at Holyhead. We were assisted by a brilliant police officer who helped us, and organised a recovery truck to get the car off the road to a safe place. We were stranded 2 and a half hours away from Holyhead on a Friday evening, with no hope of getting the car fixed. I looked online for a mobile mechanic, and found RST. They send a recovery truck and driver who got us to the ferry terminal. An excellent company to deal with, Daniel kept in touch throughout the night, and after we got home to make sure we were OK. Very helpful, very friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this company.

Had a motorcycle accident luckily not serious however motorbike could not be ridden.
I was 75 miles from home, RST Recovery came up on Google search. Very quick in providing a quote £360.
Truck arrived promptly, knowledgeable and friendly driver got the bike onboard all very professional and off we sped back home. Even put the bike back in the shed, would not hesitate to use their services again. Thanks !!!

Had a nightmare of a day, VW Campervan broke down in France just before the ferry terminal, we had forgotten to add euro assistance as it was a last minute break. P&O wouldn't let us take the van onto the ferry unless we could guarantee a tow truck would be at Dover to get us off. Rang RST and got the info needed to please the ferry company. It was difficult for the recovery driver to get onto the ferry to collect us so ended up pushing the van off the boat! Recovery driver arrived and took us home(a 3.5hr drive) all in all the service was pretty good if a little stressful at times, the price was quite high but it saved another night of hassle. Thanks to RST for getting us home.

Just had my F pace delivered by these guys at really short notice over 180 miles ..360 round trip ..no job too small. Very professional on the phone and the delivery guys were exceptional in manoevering my car off their low loader into a tight cul de sac. Would recommend this company to anyone. I had a windscreen replace through these guys, total scam been asking for a receipt invoice totally ignoring my messages totally ignoring calls when I ask them for it yes we will send it to you, please do not use these just Google and find the company yourself do not go through these guys they are scammers they are thieves. I paid £355 plus VAT for a windscreen on a sprinter and for some reason I can't get a receipt of them it is so much of a hardship to give a receipt for the payment that they have received I would never recommend these and I would never use them if I could give them zero stars I would unfortunately I don't have that option avoid them please at all cost.

Possibly the worst company I could have contacted, communication was zero,I waited three and a half hours for a tow truck, wouldn't pick up the phone when I was trying to find out what was happening. Was told the wait would be an hour. Had the occasional text saying he was dealing with a customer (lies) and he would get back to me (Ben) but he didn't. Once I had paid my deposit he didn't want to know,I am a 72 year-old woman and was just left to my own devices. Avoid ringing this company at all costs

I was quoted a 55-minute wait time and paid a £120 deposit for a breakdown recovery service. Over two hours later, no one had arrived and there was zero proactive communication from the company. We were stuck in a park and eventually had to inform them ourselves that the gates were closing, making it impossible for recovery to even happen.

Not only was the delay unacceptable, but the complete lack of urgency or reliability makes me question whether anyone was actually on the way. When you’re stranded and paying a premium for help, this kind of service is simply not good enough. I would not recommend this company to anyone in need of prompt or professional roadside assistance

The car broke down on 31st December. My partner who is disabled relies on the car to get about. We contacted RST Breakdown about towing the car as it was left in a potentially unsafe position. They quoted £160. £80 was to be paid up front with the remaining £80 to be paid upon completion. I paid the initial £80 online and received a receipt for this. So far, no issues.

When the breakdown driver arrived, he informed that the remaining £80 had to be paid by cash only and to him. He also claimed he didn't have the means to accept online payments. The RST website says "Card Terminal, Bank Transfer or Cash once job completed". There is nothing on their website, or within the agreement I made for their services, to suggest that any part of the payment for services must be by cash only. There was also no suggestion that the second part of the payment would also be made to a third party. It was my understanding that upon completion of the job, I would be sent a link to pay the remainder online.

The driver also claimed that I had to pay by cash only because if I paid online, then he would have to add VAT which he also claimed was an additional £20. 20% of £80 is £16, not £20. He also claimed that if I paid by card, he would have to pay VAT as well.

Due to the circumstances and urgency, I reluctantly agreed to pay the remainder by cash.

After the job was completed, I requested a receipt. The driver claimed he couldn't provide me with one because he would have to add VAT to it. VAT should have already been part of the quote and price. Despite my requests, he refused to provide me with a receipt.

Whilst businesses aren't legally required to provide receipts, they are legally required if one is requested. Refusing one upon request is illegal.

To rub salt into the wounds, the driver revealed that the job was only £80. The initial £80 went to someone else just for agreeing to the service. I was quoted £160 for the service of having the car towed. There is nothing on their website, or within the agreement made, to suggest that any part of the payment agreed and made had nothing to do with the actual service. This was very misleading. Had I been aware that the job was only £80, I would not have agreed to pay £160.

I contacted RST, raised my concerns and requested a refund. They read this and initially failed to reply so I had to chase them up. They denied most of what took place but, perhaps inadvertently, admitted to a particular action which is illegal. I replied to inform them that the driver, and by extension them for hiring the sub-contractor, have operated illegally. They have not replied since.

I have screenshots and have reported them to HMRC for tax fraud.

I strongly recommend that this business isn't used due to their misleading, dishonest and illegal practices.

Had 3 recovery trucks sent to me before I was recovered, seem to send different ones from different companies wouldn’t recommend unless you want to get ripped off

I needed my broken down car recovered and they did just that.

Car wouldn’t start in a car park. Rang RST to help. Said it sounds like I needed a jumpstart. Said it would be 30 minutes for recovery to attend. I paid the initial £40 deposit (£80 in total). 30 minutes later, still no recovery. I rang back to tell him no one had attended like promised. He said the recovery man had to go and get his recovery vehicle and would be another 20 minutes and is now on his way. I said I agreed to use your services and paid £40 deposit on the terms recovery would be here within 30 minutes as promised. He kept me on the phone saying “I’ll contact the driver” then came back to me saying “the driver is 15 minutes away now”. THE DRIVER IS NOW 15 MINUTES AWAY BECAUSE YOU ARE KEEPING ME ON THE PHONE! I asked him to cancel the call and refund me for a service I paid for but never received. I asked for an immediate refund which the call handler agreed to yet I am yet to receive it so have to dispute this with my bank. Tried calling RST again and shock horror they are not answering my call. AVOID. NOT INTERESTED IN HELPING, JUST RIPPING OFF VULNERABLE PEOPLE IN NEED.
