Was unable to use voucher due to weather and they refused to give refund saying the voucher is valid until March but the business closes end of January. They didn't care and pretended to be sorry. Then didn't acknowledge this discrepancy about the dates. They said the weather was in the fine print so now I know I will never use them again. Have lost almost $100.

Within a week of advising that we do want to cancel, Nicola emailed stating a full refund has been processed. Scoopon unwilling to provide refund due to COVID19
Our family was due to travel to Baii from 13-21 July staying at at Inaya Putri resort on a Scoopon voucher. I previously sent an email more than 2 weeks ago requesting a full refund from Scoopon as we have no intent of travelling to Bali in the next five years due to Covid19, but received no response from Scoopon. I have contacted Scoopon by phone today and was advised that they are not willing to pay a refund but instead offering a credit to be spent on a luxury escapes deal. This option is not suitable to our family of 5 as Luxury escapes is targeted to couples accommodation and limited to travel outside school holidays. When I advised Scoopon that this was not a suitable option for our family they advised that would provide forms to for us to pursue a claim through our credit card insurance company. Scoopon is clearly avoiding it's obligations under Australian consumer law. The contract is frustrated and full refund is warranted. I will be pursing further action for a full refund.

Total lack of communication and action
My situation is very similar to Tony. Have written a large number of emails with very little response, just a standard letter with generic options which don't help me. Wrote on another review site and they contacted within hours for information - all looked good in print but after escalation several weeks ago there has been no response - a week ago I said if no action my next port of call will be ACCC.
I want a refund as I have a major concern that they will not survive too far into the future if their lack of communication and action is anything to go from.
Beware of Scoopon holidays.
We purchased a land tour of India which was to commence on 20 April. The tour was cancelled due to COVID and for the last 6 weeks we have been trying to obtain a refund of our $2598.00. Scoopon are almost impossible to get hold of. When we finally managed to reach a customer service rep on the phone he assured us our case would be escalated. Nothing happened. I sent several emails with no response. A Facebook message was finally responded to. We were offered a voucher instead minus $255 each for “unrecoverable costs”. This is totally unacceptable as we need to have our money refunded in full. Our emails are ignored. This has been going on for over 6 weeks and is extremely frustrating. We have been customers of Scoopon for many years but never again after this experience. Customer service - zero.

I purchased the Ultimate Gold Coast Family Getaway: Sea World Resort stay, for family members,as a Christmas gift, at a cost of $1099. It was purchased in November 2019 and is for 5 nights and unlimited entry to Seaworld and some other theme parks. It was originally valid for travel until 24 December 2020 with bookings to be made before 31 October 2020. With the Covid_19 travel restrictions and Seaworld being closed, I contacted Scoopon and requested a refund. It took numerous emails and phone calls before I could get an answer, which was that a refund has been refused. This is upsetting, I cannot afford to lose $1099. It seemed a lovely gift at the time. As far as I am aware, no money has apparently been paid to Sea World Nara or to the Sea World Theme Park. I do not understand why Scoopon is keeping my money. Instead I have been offered an extension of the booking period, now valid to 30 April 2021 and to be booked by 28 February 2021. I find this quite unacceptable and would have expected, under the circumstances to be provided with a full refund as no money has been spent or service provided. I would have thought Scoopon would be providing refunds to ensure that clients will purchase in the future.
22 May 2020, I have received a phone call from a representative of the Scoopon Travel Support Team to advise me that a refund will be provided. This has been confirmed in an email. Thank you Scoopon.

SCOOPON TRAVEL BOOKING ID: CAAY12 Maldives Magic Holiday due to COVID 19 & Aust Federal Govt Level 4 Restrictions. I have been trying to change/defer this holiday package since 16/3/20. Check In Date is 29/3/20. I am unable to do anything via their website on the 'My Holdays Page' as suggested on their website. I did not have a password for their site until I created one on Monday 16/3/20 & when I checked, my package didn't exist. I need to be contacted ASAP. This package was paid & booked in conjunction with a Luxury Escapes package back on 9/7/19 with the same operator. I have dealt with Luxury Escapes package online via their website with my password. Not able to do the same via SCOOPON website or I would have by now. I understand that both Travel sites are owned by the same group of companies. Only Luxury Escapes is providing a much better service and response.The Maldives accommodation have already advised me by email that they are happy to postpone to a date later this year but they need confirmation from SCOOPON.
