I booked this course for my mums birthday. The course was cancelled but I only found out this through a friend who was also doing the course. I did not receive an email from St Peter’s informing me and had to make contact myself. Had my friend not informed me then we would have attended on the day. I had also already told my mum about her gift attending the terrarium course so she was disappointed and cannot make the next available one.

Beware Dog Owners
A first visit to this garden centre today, with our 2 little well behaved dogs. We walked around the outside area to start with to try ensure there were no accidents inside. We are always respectful of our surroundings and would NEVER knowingly allow our dogs to urinate inside.
However, on leaving the premises today, my daughter was rudely approached by a member of staff, clutching a roll of tissue paper, saying that our little poodle had urinated and that she was having to clean it up. My adult daughter was spoken to like a 'naughty child' and was left feeling very upset and humiliated. Obviously in a dog friendly environment, it is inevitable that accidents may happen! My daughter had no idea that this had happened and that obviously we were being watched around the centre. Just a warning to other dog owners. The first and last time we will be visiting!

Afternoon tea
The staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. The food was well presented and tasty. I would come again, I would just like more choices on the sandwich fillings.

Afternoon out
We brought our granddaughter over to an activity in the tepee she and granddad had great fun painting a butterfly house .The young lady there was excellent with us and the young children
Excellent Garden Centre
A really good choice of excellent quality plants. Lots to look at inside & buy. Great cafe inside & outside with a small area for children to explore. Large tent for booking craft days which is excellent value.
Excellent Activity
Spent a very enjoyable hour doing the half-term activity. Both the 3 year old and 7 year old had a fabulous time. The quality of the bug/butterfly boxes was excellent, and I'm sure they will work well in the garden. The organisation was great with warm and welcoming staff. We have been to other activity sessions at St Peter's and they've always been good value for money. Would thoroughly recommend.
Kids half term activity FAB!
We booked the kids in to the half term activity and it was brilliant. Four kids aged 2, 8, 9 and 11 all picked a butterfly or bug box to decorate and loved it. The boxes are brilliant quality - the materials to decorate were great quality again. Drink and snack provided. Staff lovely and helpful. Location warm and comfy. Absolutely recommend.

February Half term activities at St Peters Garden Centre are full of joy, creativity and quality family time. After an hour session there is an opportunity to walk around the lake, enjoy a snack/lunch or wander around the shop. Excellent entertainment for your kids at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended
Well worth it
Fab propagation workshop with the bearded plantaholic. Down to earth advice from someone who is clearly passionate about plants and sharing knowledge. Jonnie is an off the wall character who deserves to go far. Watch this space!
THE RISING COST OF MEALS AT ST PETERS
We go to St Peters a lot to eat. Friday we went and were very disappointed. My husband went for the ham, egg chips and peas. I wanted a jacket potatoe with chillie. My husband came back and said there were no jacket potatoes and could not believe it. I ended up having the same. In our opinion the meals have gone expensive. They have a deal this month a hearty meal and pud for £19.99 and that is dear. £40 for two meals and then drinks on top. There cream teas are very good and cakes. We also go to the cafe up the top and that is very good. We are sorry but at the moment dissapointed with St Peters. We go to another pub and they do a great carvery and pud for £10 Tues till Sat and it is excellent.
Excellent workshop
Excellent workshop - learnt a lot and Johnny is absolutely amazing - very free with his knowledge and really willing to help.

I recently attended a course on indoor plant propagation at the Centre.
It was hosted by The Bearded Plantaholic.
The course was absolutely brilliant. It was held in a yurt outside. It was extremely informative and great fun and I thought, good value for money.
There was also a discount voucher provided for attendees, which of course I had to use in the centre afterwards! 😬
Lovely customer service and a great location.
My only slightly negative comment was that I had a hot chocolate from the café outside, which was extremely expensive.
Delicious food, great service
The food was delicious and the service was fab. Very friendly and accommodating staff. This is not the first time we have eaten here but was the first time for an afternoon tea. The food is an ate really good would highly recommend.
The Christmas light show and Santa visit
We attended the light show with our grandson and saw Santa. The staff were friendly and Santa took time to chat will our grandson which was lovely. Our grandson loved the fair rides and the lights and finding the reindeer. The only thing stopping me giving 5 stars is, I thought the light trail should have been a bit longer for the money paid but over all it was a lovely evening and few hrs out.
