The reason for 3 stars is the time slot i had was useless. They arrived an hour later and AA told me they just give a time slot for the sake of it, it is up to the garage when they collect (why give a time slot then?)
And I was told payment would be taken afterwards and it was taken 3 days prior, AA again said they just say it will be taken after, it doesnt actually work like that. Which is fine but it made me worry if I was going to be charged again afterwards because no one would confirm
But the service itself i have had no issues with. The garage was very clear with me, emails were sent with the work done prior to the car being dropped off.

They have had my Range Rover Evoque—which is my absolute livelihood and aid—for FOUR MONTHS. They have stripped my vehicle, destroyed it, and left me completely stranded, all while hiding behind a completely worthless "additional guarantee."The corruption and dishonesty from AA Smart Care and their network are staggering:Illegal Modifications & Damage: The garage completely removed my factory-fitted DPF filter, wiped out my AdBlue data, and ruined the vehicle's computer system, making it completely illegal to drive on UK roads.Hiding Evidence & Intimidation: AA Smart Care sent my car to two separate approved inspection garages. Both inspections proved the damage. Instead of fixing it, AA Smart Care instructed the garages to hide the reports, refused to give me any paperwork, and told them not to speak to me.Financial Exploitation: They tried to force me to pay a "warranty claim" just for them to strip my own vehicle down to find the problem they caused.Fines and Negligence: While my car was in their custody, they dumped it outside on yellow lines. This resulted in a PCN council parking fine. It has now escalated to over £100. AA Smart Care promised they would pay it, but they lied and have ignored it completely.The Aftermath: They are now telling me to just "take my vehicle away." I have refused because the car is a crime scene of cowboy mechanics.This is so severe that Trading Standards are involved, and the DVSA Intelligence Unit has launched a formal investigation into this garage network for safety and emissions violations.AA Smart Care does not care about their customers, their livelihood, or the law. Just awful service
I booked a service using AA. They charged me the other day. Then today, one day before the appointment, I got a message from someone, telling the booking is canceled. Two hours later, I received a message from AA that the booking is confirmed and I need to drop the car before 8 AM. The shop is not even open at 8 AM! I'm confused and I hate the experience.
I hope I can get my money back.

Paid for a full service that didn’t happen. No oil filter change and no oil change. Oil filter was stamped 2024 from the last service. Not happy at all. Coolant level low. Will not be using this service again.

I had a major service done on my car at home. The service was fine and the mechanic was helpful and polite. However, although the service was suppose so to have been completed by 12pm, the mechanic didn't arrive till 2.30pm. I was supposed to have someone call me on the morning, to confirm the appointment, that didn't happen. As the phonelines only work Monday to Friday, I had to contact the AA on WhatsApp, to see what was happening. The person on the end, was polite but not overly helpful. I sent an email to AA regarding all this, 6 days ago. Heard nothing back. Car service 5/5. Communication 0/5. Not sure I'd use again, especially as it is 50 quid more, than taking to local garage.

The quote was reasonable when first given.
However the parts were delayed and then there were issues with communication between the garage and yourself! You then claimed to have been trying to contact myself but yet you didn’t attempt to contact me till 5mins before I arrived at the garage! Who had been trying to contact the AA all morning to correct some of the job details!
Add to that it seems you are incapable of using a phone to deal with problems.
Due to your inability to communicate I didn’t find out that there would be over £100 extra to add to the job, which after discussing with your call centre was reduced by £40.

Brilliant home vehicle service
Fantastic experience with the at home vehicle service. The convenience of having my car sorted in my driveway is a massive time saver. The Mechanic was professional, polite and clearly explained what work was done. The process online throughout the booking was flawless. I would definitely recommend them, and I will certainly use them again.
Initially this started off quite well
Initially this started off quite well. Booking and verification was easy and reminders came along periodically! But then we got to the day of our service and MOT and the experience was not very good. The garage was not overly interested because the AA was taking a cut of their revenue/profits; they were openly critical of the AA’s processes and systems and generally apathetic! Our car failed it’s MOT on the Friday and we didn’t get the car back until the following Tuesday and that was only because we chased both the AA and the garage; I think it would run for 2 or 3 days more without that! From a price perspective, I thought would save us money, but my feeling is it would have less costly to deal direct with the garage! I think it unlikely that I will choose this route again!

So glad I found the smart care service by fluke! My car was picked up at 10:30am and was back by 2:00pm, fully serviced and a new MOT! The paperwork detailing the service and MOT was emailed to me. So easy and stress free.

Faulty booking service, 2 years in a row - get ready to chase it up
Arranged an MOT and service, the vehicle to be collected and returned. It all seemed straightforward and at a reasonable price.
They never collected: the garage was told only an MOT was booked. I had to chase AA Smart Care to correct the mistake.
The garage did eventually collect and return the vehicle, but I had waited ALL MORNING without any communication.
This is the SECOND year in a row they made this mistake.
It's a good enough service as long as you're prepared to chase up the garage to make sure it's all going ahead as you ordered.
