Do NOT buy from this shop. Their customer service skills are horrendous.

We ordered a nursery bedroom furniture set in October 2020 and were told that the earliest we could have this delivered would be March 2021..not an issue as we are not due until May. However, I have been calling since the end of February to get a delivery date confirmed and each time I have been met with resistance and just keep getting told that they are not in breach of contract as it is not the end of March. I was fully aware that they were not in breach of contract, all I wanted was a delivery date so that my husband could book the day off work.

Yesterday, as I was leaving the house to go to the hospital, my furniture arrived..with no advance warning. I had even spoken to the shop the day before and was told that this shop is not essential and they were going out of their way working behind the scenes. I explained that baby stores were allowed to be open for click and collect and delivery as people having babies needed their products. I was told that was not the case. I explained that I had spoken to my pram shop and they had confirmed this. I was met with more resistance and told that The Baby Store in question had received government guidance that babies could even leave the hospital without a car seat as this was not deemed an essential service. Now we all know this is simply not true. Thankfully, I have not purchased my pram from here as goodness knows what would have happened!
Then to make matters worse, as I am in the hospital yesterday, I receive a phone call from the shop asking if I have had a delivery notice from our suppliers. I explained that no I had not, but the furniture had arrived unannounced just as I was trying to leave the house to go to the hospital. I could not chat then but will be calling on Monday for an explanation and to formally complain.

All in all, we have our furniture now so not the end of the world for us. But as a heavily pregnant Mum to be, this shop has caused me so much unnecessary stress. Please save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere.

If only we had looked on here before spending over £2k in this store and them sending us incorrect car seat bases which we paid to ship overseas at an extra cost of £300 only to find these were the wrong ones!
We will not spend another penny with this company as their customer service has been disgusting! - in response to the babystore reply - we requested 2 swivel bases and the corresponding car seats. on the order form it states 2 car seats and 2 bases - as future grandparents how would we know that you had made a mistake? even when delivered, we did not know the items were incorrect until opened by the future parents! Your lack of customer care is apparent in every review on here - eventually this will be known by all future patents - I am sure eventually you will have to treat customers better or close!

Shocking sold faulty goods been trying to get a resolve since September staff are not helpful at all very abrupt going to seek legal help is my next step

Fantastic service all ready for me they said. My pram come straight from bugaboo and has tiny scratch on handle and they have been really good contacting bugaboo etc for me

Do not use!!! Placed order for £2.5k in January they tool our money and have not delivered all my items and we are almost in September my child is ready for her cot and it's not suitable for her, we are in touch with trading standards and have sent the letters they have advice us to send and they just aren't even acknowledging them, we have part the cot missing that we had to send back that we have never seen again, part of the pram nn of the bedding and they don't even contact you with hood customer service to update you disgusting company

Not even deserving of a one star however I’m unable to select no stars 🙄
Firstly, accepted my order and payment then cancelled it that same morning with no good reason or explaination.
Secondly, unhelpful and rude customer service when speaking to a manager. Utter shambles. Possible scam website. Strongly recommend shopping elsewhere... like mothercare.
