Next day parcel didn't arrive! Be aware! you CANN OT track your parcel properly on their system and there are NO customer service advisors on the telephone number, just an automated farce!
Next day parcel didn't arrive! tracked, says 'Delayed' but doesn't say where parcel is?? I think most other companies the tracker tells you where your parcel is in the system! There is a number listed on the website, which says you can call this number to speak to someone about your parcel, all option on the number were automated responses. 'Your parcel is delayed'... I know its bleeding delayed!... I just want to know why and where it is!
D_eplorable H-opeless L_ousy
My recent experience with DHL was abysmal, to say the least.
Ordered from John Lewis on a Friday. Was supposed to have the item delivered on Monday. As I was not going to be in, I scheduled for the delivery to be sent to their local shop so that I could collect later that day.
I never heard from them the whole day and later in the evening when I checked their tracking, I was gob-smacked to see the message that the delivery was refused to be accepted by their shop and I would have to contact the sender. Should they not then remove this shop from their list of shops they deliver to?
Why could they not allow me to make an alternative delivery schedule directly beggars belief.
They have a non-existent customer service. There is no one to actually speak to. Everything is automated, though the number they give on their site states that it is the number to call, if you wish to speak with someone. The only way to establish some semblance of contact is via FB Messenger or Twitter - you get a response after a few hours.
I had to try and contact the sender John Lewis, who were extremely helpful and helped me in rescheduling the delivery through DHL the following day as the parcel had not left the DHL premises by then, luckily.
Overall, this is not the level of service that I would accept from a company of DHL's standard. I basically think they are not bothered by our reviews as they have 'corporate' and 'business' giants as their clientele.
DHL NIGHTMARE, START TO FINISH
Used parcel Monkey to find the options, DHL was the slight cheapest, but states, trackable, & next day.
Firstly on collection from my house, he missed HIS 9am - 10am, collection time, & then he wrote, he had left card at my house, as parcel was not ready for collection ??. I rang DHL & said what a pack of lies, he had not been anywhere near my house. They said they would tell him, to return, i rang back, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, rang back 12:30 still no show, they then said, collection booking was now cancelled until next day, next day 2 collectors came. DHL then did not deliver next day as per booking. DHL delivered following day. DHL Customer Service a waste of time, DHL Never to be used again.
To me DHL means, DEAD HOSTILE LAME
Thieves
Thieves, they steal parcels the hub. anything of any value goes missing. they need to be investigated. NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH EXPENSIVE GOODS. Check the terms out as well. they don't cover any parcel they have a clause for everything you send it is so generic could be applied to anything. the work of scammers. They employ thieves as well.
Poor impersonal service, very terrible, from the pick up and trying to obtain assistance from customer service.
Trying to call the customer service but cant get through
Parcel pick up is a very poor service. Van driver not interested in any answering any questions or offering advice, just hand in the parcel. Soble when a mistake is made, customer service not reachable. You get on the phone and the automatic phone response system asks for your postcode, which you voice out but nothing else happens. End of comunication.
Simply terrible service from DHL
Simply terrible service from DHL. Parcel was supposed arrive on the 7th, today is 17th and still no sign of it. Customer service can’t track it exactly. Said they will call me as soon as they know something and guess what...?! Today the recipient told me that he is being asked by DHL Poland if the parcel is for personal or business use. Is this a joke? BTW it’s a laptop that is a gift. I will never use DHL again!!!!!
Paint mess!
We received a DHL delivery of 5 x 750 ml tins of paint contained in a cardboard box. Admittedly, not particularly well packaged by the retailer but every tin was damaged and leaking paint upon delivery. I would expect packages to be treated with a bit more care in the handling process. I would have given zero stars if this were possible.
I paid next day delivery for an item…
I paid next day delivery for an item that was to be delivered by DHL. When I checked delivery tracker next day it advised my delivery was delayed. I contacted my seller who found that DHL had delivered it to the wrong 'hub' but would be delivered the following day - it didn't arrive. I again contacted my seller and was advised DHL would deliver it in the morning of Thursday 1st April 2021 (yep - April Fool's Day). Again I checked the delivery tracker and DHL advise delivery for TUESDAY 6th APRIL (hopefully 2021 but as this is DHL we're talking about it's probably due in 5 years time). I've had a previous bad experience with DHL and from now on when I order online I will check whether they use DHL as a courier; if they do I'll order from elsewhere rather than go through this again. STAY AWAY FROM DHL IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY.
DO NOT TRUST ANY DHL COMPANY!!
DO NOT TRUST ANY DHL COMPANY!!! THEY ARE THE WORST COURIER COMPANY -
DEPLORABLE -
Please read! This is not a review after 1 isolated incident!!
I have had DOZENS of problems With this company! Where i am sender and where I am merely recipient after buying online!
The German branch of the DHL monster company have lost 2 parcels - they are particularly aggressive and rude - there is NO English lines to call and when you call the German line they shout and laugh in German saying “NON! NON ENGLISH!!” I was using Google translate and the employees shouted and laughed (in a aggressive way) and mocked me - before hanging up! This happened with both instances where the parcels with sent with DHL Germany
I have had parcels go missing sent with DHL UK, DHL PARCEL, DHL ES (Spain) DHL DE(Germany) DHL EXPRESS, ... Many if not all of the DHL divisions - ALL have lost the items, left them in random places, asked random people to sign, claimed they have attempted delivery when they have not and have returned the items to sender - ALL!!
It is appalling DHL are permitted to trade!
I never leave reviews but this company is beyond APPALLING - they need to be stopped by trading standards!
dozens of instances of DHL losing my parcels or delivering to RANDOM addresses including:
* left a heavy furniture item at a random petrol station!!! Had no idea who the signee was!! Looked him up on FB and luckily found he owned a petrol station where the item was left!
* lost a big parcel containing all my clothes and other items required while i stay with my father who is suffering cancer abroad - lost for 5 1/2 months- they have no means of investigating where the parcel went after last scan - no replies to emails on vet the months, no explanation on what had been attempted, simply say “we emailed international team, they don’t know; sorry for inconvenience. file a claim attaching receipts for every item”
*tracking advising item is ready for collection at “service point”- does not explain where the service point is - no way to speak to a human to find out - used online service to locate nearest service point, the closest listed did not have the item. The item then says collection time expired not collected returned - with no way of finding out where it was being held in order to collect!!
99.9% NO HUMAN CUSTOMER SERVICE VIA TELEPHONE- automated messages only!
IF YOU finally find a way to get through to a human if they are in another jurisdiction (Germany particularly) they hang up and laugh at you,Spain and others simply cannot speak English and hang up!
NO means between offices to communicate with colleagues in other countries DHL offices.
NO EMAIL RESPONSES
NO RESPONSES to Investigation claims!
RUDE ARROGANT EMPLOYEES ON FB CHAT WHO RESPOND AFTER DAYS WITH SHORT 1 LINE REPLYS WHICH ARE OF NO USE.
LABYRINTH OF CONNECTED DHL COMPANIES ALL WHICH SAY THEY ARE INDEPENDENT- ALL FAIL TO GIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TRUST DHL!
Awful delivery firm with illiterate delivery staff
Awful delivery firm with illiterate delivery staff who cannot seem to be able to read street names.... Rather worrying for a delivery firm! I was informed that I was due to receive today (Saturday 13/03/2021) by both DHL and John Lewis who were the retailer/seller. I was sent an email and a text message by both DHL also confirmed a delivery time of 09:21-10:21 by mid day my parcel was still not delivered to me so I called DHL customer services - as the tracking information showed that the parcel had been delivered. Upon talking to their customer rep and having to pay their useless ovely inflated call rates - I was informed that my parcel was delivered to a house parallel to my home address. I asked the rep to send me an email to confirm this inform so that I can make a claim to have a refund processed - as due to an error made by DHL and their incompetent delivery person - I am now without my order and out of pocket. The rep assured me that he would email me to confirm what was discussed. However, 5pm on I have not received this alleged email. I then had to contact John Lewis to resolve and now this mess that DHL has created is awaiting resolution. My order was split into two parcels both tracking numbers are listed. The delivery person also uploaded a photo of the house they delivered my parcel too - yet I can certainly confirm that, that image is not my house.
Poor customer service - the rep was a down right liar who failed to send me the email and evidance requested - which he confirmed that he would. And illiterate delivery staff who cannot seem to read street names.!
Constructive Criticism...
Constructive Criticism...
(Because I can understand how scammers can easily rip DHL off. I’m tempted to rip you off myself, because it’s so simple.)
1. You need to contact customers via email or post, NOT text. Text messages look seedy and are usually ignore.
2. Address customers by name. And, make sure names are spelt / spoken correctly. If you can’t speak English, learn it.
2. You need to create a tab on the HOME PAGE of your website for custom duty charges. No links within pages. Make it clear how to pay. Unless you don’t want us to...
3. Don’t release items from customs or continue to process order if a duty tax is due. It makes the texts/letters look fake/unimportant.
4. Stop using foreign people for your customers services. If I’m calling from the US, I expect to hear an American accent on the other side of the phone. Likewise for your U.K. department.
5. Stick to one phone number for general enquires. I’ve found three different numbers on your website. And, then a member of your customers services team gave me a fourth.
6. Print your invoices on better paper. Or at least, make sure the paper is straight when it’s printing. Invoices look like a scam when the bills are wonky.
7. Allow customers to contact you via email. Social media just shouts ‘no privacy’.
8. Your envelopes need to be more formal. Add the logo.
9. You need ONE dedicated phone number or email address for import tax queries. Trying to pay YOU is like trying to get blood out of a stone.
10. Your ‘epayments’ crashes way to often. Try fixing it.
BONUS
Rather than running DHL on the bare minimum, Invest. You get back what you put in. If all your reviews are 1 star, (which the majority of them are clear to see) try changing.
We want to like you. But, you’re not making it easy.
If you’d like any more ways to prevent scammers from robbing you blind, just let me know.
I have been waiting for a parcel from DHL…
I have been waiting for a parcel from DHL which was due on Monday (today is Wednesday). It was delayed from Monday to Tuesday due to a "scanning issue". Yesterday I tracked it all day, we were drop 72, at drop 71 the tracking suddenly went off. An hour later their system said Returned to depot as no access/ no one in! This was about 4:30pm and they are supposed to deliver until 6pm. No doubt the driver decided to go home for the day and just chose this option to justify it. After trying to speak to someone in DHL Customer Services (that's a joke in itself), they said his GPS system must have taken him to the wrong address. That did not instill me with hopr for the next day. I asked them to phone me, to confirm that I will get delivery today (Wednesday) - nothing. THis morning I waited in and followed the drivers route, we were drop 30, again after the drop before (29) the tracking system went off. I tried phoning to speak to someone, as I need to be somewhere else. All automated options, no "hold to speak to an assistant". I ended up pressing each option in hope someone would answer. The last one was collect at depot. Guess what, rather than speaking to someone, the system just changed my delivery to delivery on Friday!. I don't know how but I eventually pressed a button and someone answered. No help at all, they said as the delivery date has now changed, even if my package is still on the van, the driver won't have a code to drop it off! I am in tears writing this. How can a company be so bad and function in such a mechanical and impersonal way?
Glasgow depot USELESS
Ordered new phones from O2 on Wednesday 10th Feb. Due to come on Thursday 11th. Tried to track them. Frustrating waste of time. Stayed at home all day Thursday. Phoned at 8.00PM that night. It would not be coming until Friday.Tried to track on Friday morning. Frustrated tried to phone Glasgow depot. No reply. I then phoned O2, worried about the delivery. After about twenty minutes later was told it would be delivered that day. I would receive a text message from DHL. Text message at 9,04, would be delivered in the afternoon. Took advantage of the morning for some recreation. 10.33 received a text saying it would be delivered within 5-15 minutes. hurried home. Too late, but my neighbour had taken it for me. Didn't mind the fact that it was late. VERY ANNOYED THAT THE COMMUNICATION WITH DHL IS NON EXISTENT. THE GLASGOW DEPOT NEEDS TO GET ITSELF IN ORDER. HEADS SHOULD ROLL. I have taken 24 hours to calm down as you no doubt realise by my polite review.
Worse customer service EVER!!!!
Worse customer service EVER!!!!!
Not even 1 star!
I've sent a parcel from the UK to Germany on the 28th of January. Everything was smooth, even though the lockdown regulations.
It should have arrived in two working days. I was tracking the shipping number on the link that they sent me. (Still good).
On Feb the 4th I got an email saying that my parcel has a clearance delay ( I thought maybe Brexit, it's okay), the next day I received another email an that one said:
'A DHL representative shall attempt to contact the importer or please contact DHL Customer Service for further assistance. Customer should contact DHL Customer Service if not reached by DHL'.
No further information regarding a phone number or email.
I couldn't understand the issue as I followed the instructions that they sent me in order to avoid any problem like that.
I contacted DHL Express and they said that because I used DHL Parcel UK, I should contact them. (while all the emails that I've been receiving are DHL - no clue if it is Express or Parcel UK).
I contacted DHL Parcel UK, they said that it is not them it is DHL Express as my shipping number belongs to DHL Express. I contacted again DHL Express this time over the phone as the live chat and WhatsApp is a machina that says 'it is too busy try later' (I've been trying for four days with the Live Chat). I call DHL Express Customer Service (7p each minute - quite expensive after paying for the shipment and not being able to use the Live Chat). Still they said that they cannot track my parcel and I should contact DHL Parcel UK.
The phone number brush off me all the time. Email them again, same generic email (Contact DHL Express) after I spent 30 min write each issue.
Facebook chat, same generic email (contact DHL Express).
meanwhile, my parcel is been 10 days delayed, the DHL representative has not contacted me, I don't have any information of what is going on and the customer service is the worse I've ever seen!
So if you have an issue with DHL, do not expect to be able to solve the problem anytime soon.
The fact that I need to write this review shows that it is the only place that they might get back to me...
Had a purchase sent next day delivery
Had a purchase sent next day delivery. Tracker never updated .so sent an email .Checked the tracker again said package delayed .Tried phoning but got automated brush off .Checked tracker again looking for an excuse for the delay for the tracker to say they do not have my parcel .That makes me not want to deal with the retailer ever again .Dhl would never be my choice for deliveries .Will be careful in future and contact seller to find out who they use .And if its DHL will shop elsewhere.
Grossly incompetent and disorganised
My family sent me 3 parcels for on the same day and from the same post office. 2 of them got delivered on time but one ended up missing. Turns out it got delivered to the wrong address…
This parcel was insured and required a signature. According to the DHL notes their delivery man just dropped it at the door on the floor without signature and left. There is some electronic device and clothing inside of a value of about £300.
I spend over one hour on the phone with DHL to try and get this right (on a payed number, cost me a fortune!). Its now been over 2 weeks and I have received no phone call back as they had promised on the day and my parcel is still missing.
I will not use DHL in the future I would not recommend it to anyone.
Pity there is a no stars option,
Pity there is a no stars option,
Summary
. Parcel delayed twice
. Parcel filthy and damaged when it arrived
. Tracking showed parcel to be ready for delivery in the past!
. Requested and confirmed store pick up, but delivery was to my door, literally by pure chance I was walking up the road to my door when the fella was trying to deliver it
Absolutely dreadful service for supposedly next day delivery,
Do not use this company
Do not use this company, believe it or not it differs from DHL, you need to take it to drop point which would be your local off-licence but guess what!!! I took it to 4 different ones their website suggested , non of them accepted it, I drove 16miles to DHL depot, they said this company is different from them and told me UK Mail has changed its name to DHL parcel. I called their customer service center, they said I need to drive to Stafford, that is 1 hour away from me, and drop it off there. Please stay away from this people or you will regret it. In case they might think I am not a genuine customer, my parcel number was 51035830682433.
