Kia Sportage 2022 GPF
I bought a brand new Kia Sportage from Kia Vertu Barnsley in 2022 and the experience since has been completely unacceptable.
At just three months old, the GPF warning light appeared. Over the next four years, the car has been returned to the garage 16 times for the same issue, yet I am repeatedly told there is no fault with the vehicle.
The only advice given is to drive in low gear at high revs on a motorway. This was never disclosed at the point of sale, and had I known the car required this to function properly, I would never have purchased it. Being told to drive this way is, in my view, unsafe and unrealistic on today’s busy roads.
After 16 failed attempts to resolve the same problem, continuing to deny there is an issue and blaming the customer is unacceptable. This has caused years of frustration and a complete loss of trust in Kia Vertu Barnsley.
Update! just because they respond to your review on trust pilot doesn’t mean they actually respond in person . Appalling customer service , failings not addressed or admitted ! Avoid at all costs

Amazing customer focus
Super quick purchase. Chloe was amazing and took time to make sure I understood all the car features. She kept in contact with me throughout the process and made sure when I collected the car it was a quick and easy process! The manager came out to great me and thank me for my custom and had a chat with me whilst Chloe got my car ready. I couldn’t thank the team enough.

Paige looked after us. She was very knowledgeable about the vehicle, which more than met our needs. Nothing was too much trouble and she always met us with a smile. KIA Picanto sale
I returned to KIA Barnsley after having bought 4 cars previously and always been happy with the customer care
Craig in sales was great from the word go when my elderly mother & I came to buy a new car. Her old large 06 car was no issue to the garage and they helped her source an excellent smaller more suitable, safer & economical car - KIA Picanto
Craig was very patient with my mother explaining everything thing she needed to do especially as she does not have Internet banking. We picked up her new car 2 days later and he went through the app, the car & set it all up for her.
I was very grateful to his excellent customer service and know we will be able to continue to use the garage for servicing to keep up her warranty

I have been driving since I was 17 now…
