I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Rawnok. From the first conversation to collecting the car, they were professional, patient, and genuinely helpful. Everything was explained clearly, all my questions were answered, and I never felt rushed or pressured.
Thank you for making the car-buying experience such a positive one, I would absolutely recommend Rawnok to anyone considering buying a car.

Been using for a few years now , unfortunately this time I took for service/mot and something told me to check the log book was done correctly ( after second guessing and asking where the book was after nothing was said after being told car was in front of dealership ) then told in was in car on seat??? The mileage was thousands of miles out from actual mileage. Went back in to check and when pointed out the mistake by another employee to the person I was originally dealing with they had to adjust the mileage on their database also, all the time while not being offered any form of apology for their mistakes !
Only really noticed because it was evening by now that the so called included valet of inside and outside had not been done.

Shocking. When I mentioned an issue with my engine oil, the general manager simply assumed I didn't know how to check this because I am a woman and sent me a photo from the manual rather than accepting the car they sold me has a serious issue that they are trying to cover. I was also mis-sold their service plan and they are not willing to take any responsibility for it.

response to VERTU Chingford.
Thank you for your response Gary, however this further highlights the inconsistencies in how this matter has been handled. Initially I was informed that both ECUs were faulty, that I would need to pay between £3,500–£5,000 for replacement (including a “battery support unit”), and that the DVLA-listed battery recall could not and would not be completed by your garage unless I agreed to pay this sum. At no point was any discussion held regarding warranty.
You now state that: The battery does not require replacement: The issue is a software update : Multiple control units are allegedly failing and therefore the update cannot be performed
This raises several serious concerns.
A safety recall has still not been completed, despite you now stating that the battery does not require replacement, while also acknowledging that battery / power instability can still cause ECU faults – something your team would be well aware of.
I am being asked to authorise extremely costly repairs based on changing explanations, and I have been advised to purchase a new vehicle instead of having the recall correctly completed.
I also dispute the implication that two garages “failed” to rectify the issue. The AA confirmed the vehicle was safe to drive when the faults first appeared, and previous diagnostics indicated sensor-related issues (ADAS) affecting AEB and FCW – not catastrophic ECU failure.
The garage which carried out the original diagnostic confirmed faulty sensors, which was consistent with the AA’s findings.
Furthermore, these dashboard warning lights are a widely reported and known issue with this model, which contradicts your assertion that this is unfamiliar territory: go to - vauxhall owners club forums multiple warnings on dash.
I was met with hostility at the front desk when collecting my car as the AA was referenced as paying for the diagnostics which was both unnecessary and upsetting

Refuses to do a Battery recall unless paid 5k upfront!.
Claims that ECU faults are the issue so I have to pay for that first on a battery recall when the battery can cause ECU faults!
Expects me to pay for BCU which is garage equipment!
Shortly after purchasing this used vehicle from Vertu, I reported:
Intermittent radio faults
“Electrical traction” / electrical fault warnings
I was repeatedly told that nothing could be done as warning lights were not present when the car was with me. These issues are consistent with underlying electrical or power problems which I raised in good faith.
Battery recall & electrical faults
The vehicle is subject to a DVLA-listed battery recall. I understand that battery and power issues can cause:
Electrical warning lights
Apparent ECU fault codes
System instability
I am extremely concerned that a recall related to the battery (which can itself cause electrical faults) is being refused, while at the same time I am being told that the ECUs are faulty and should be replaced at my expense! along with garage equipment.
Coolant issue and prior high repair quote
In 2024 I was quoted approximately £2,000 for a coolant leak. Subsequent checks at Halfords indicated that the vehicle required pink coolant, but blue coolant was present. This raises serious questions about the quality and correctness of previous work/maintenance and whether this may have contributed to ongoing issues. Means that I cannot put coolant in the car (unless i pay them 2K)
Pressure to replace the car
I am approaching the end of the finance term (final payments due December) I am now being presented with:
A very high repair estimate
A refusal to complete a recall
A suggestion that I should buy a new vehicle from Vertu
I have already asked Vertu Vauxhall Chingford to provide:
The specific Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) retrieved from the vehicle’s OBD system
A full copy of the diagnostic report for a 2nd opinion
A clear explanation for refusing to carry out the recall in writing.
7K worth of work needed for a car they provided used. Known faults on the grandland hybrid which are all over the internet yet they deny they exist.
Car has only 27,000 miles on the clock 2019 model and I am being refused a DVLA recall.

Fantastic experience with vertu, dealing with rawnok and tom in the chingford branch, visited a few different dealerships while choosing a car and alot of the time they were pushy or the vehicle wasnt as described, but rawnok and tom were brilliant and the car was in excellent condition as described, put at ease with the whole process

My concern with Vauxhall Chingford is the repeated changes to cost for repairs. You are told one cost and another person gives you a higher cost during a different call. When I question this the Vauxhall representative response is "are you coming to collect today or what" EXACT WORDS! I was so shock and dishearten by this response that I hang the phone up without responding.
I have been using this service for over 4 years now and each time I bring the car in for any issue I leave feeling less and less motivated to use them the next time.
I'm sorry Vauxhall but your team needs training in customer service communication. STOP increasing your cost randomly.
I will not be using their services again. I have had ENOUGH!
