Simple, Quick and Easy purchase

I was recommended Alan Day Motors on the north circular in London by a friend.
Had a chat with Marc Skuce about a new car, purchased through him.
Marc made it quick and simple to sort out the new car, specifications of what we wanted and easy to sort the paperwork

unprofessional car service management

I had a car service appointment scheduled for Saturday morning at 10 am on March 9th, and after waiting over a month for an available booking, I arrived on time only to be told they couldn't service my car that day. It's incredibly unprofessional and disappointing that they didn't apologize or even acknowledge the inconvenience. I had to leave my family on my day off, driving two hours round trip from Harlow for nothing. With a newborn at home, working hard and exhausted, this lack of respect for my time is unacceptable. It's clear they don't prioritize customer service, and it's frustrating that they seemed to blame me for their mistake. It would have been better if they had informed me beforehand so I didn't waste my time and energy. Alan Day, you've lost a customer.

I’ve had the pleasure of Lenin

I’ve had the pleasure of Lenin, he has been wonderful from the beginning till the end. Excellent customer service, there to answer all questions, kept me in the loop and updated me every step of the way. Highly recommend him, such a lovely friendly, genuine man.

credit where credit is due

credit where credit is due! i am on a commercial contract to have taken my car in for a break fluid change. I arrived early and did an early check in which was so easy. I had the call that the car was ready knowing how prompt the branch is with calling when the car is ready. To then pick the car up from a lady called Emma having a smile. To walk out being shown where my car was to see my car had been cleaned without an extra charge and looked and felt fabulous.
also note i haven't been asked for a review on VW southgate- that was excellent customer care

My car was scratched by these mechanics

On the 29th i brought my car here Volkswagen Tgwan for service and when i got my car back my car was all scratched up , my steering wheel was also scratched im not happy about this at all im not happy with this business at all he careful coming here because these mechanics arent very good .

Do NOT put down a deposit

Really disappointed with this dealership. My mum liked the specifications of a car that was advertised on their website and wanted to see it.
At the time the car was not at the garage and there were no photos available, however she placed a deposit of £250 to reserve the vehicle.
The car arrived a few days later on a Tuesday. She was sent photos and a video the following day (Wednesday)and was told to come and see the car.
Unfortunately, due to work commitments I couldn't take her to see the car until Saturday. My mum spoke to Sunit and promised him that we would definitely be coming on Saturday morning.
On Friday she received a call advising the car was sold on Thursday, whilst they were still holding on to her deposit!!
Sunit was very polite and friendly, therefore giving a 2 star review, although we'll definitely not be purchasing a car from this garage in the future.
If you are planning to purchase a vehicle from here I would recommend NOT putting down a deposit, because these guys will sell the car anyway!!
Why give customers the option of reserving a car with a deposit when they sell it to someone else????

There are loads of other VW dealers in the UK to go to !!!

They are rude, arrogant and really just do not care about the customer from almost the out-start.

Utterly appalling service.I was trying to book in my mobility car and was promised a call back for over a week ,never received the call.I even explained that I was coming straight from the hospital to drop the car but still was just transferred to a voice mail. Avoid this place.

Truly, absolutely appalling in every possible way

Appalling, just appallingly, rude, unhelpful, they did absolutely everything possible to make our visit as unpleasant, expensive, and downright inconvenient as they possibly could.

My honest recommendation: never EVER even consider using them, as we certainly won't be.

we bought a VWI D5 car at the end of…

we bought a VWI D5 car at the end of January, since we bought the car we have had a problem with the electric charging of the car, the car does not charge, I spend 4 to 5 hours at the electric charging stations until I manage to charge the car. this problem was reported to the named seller in June, we took the car for inspection and they said that car have to stay for a week there because , they don't have a worker who can check it car , and they not offer a replacement car , when we asked why they not offering replacement car ,they were very dissatisfied and miraculously checked the car in half an hour, they did not find the problem. And after couple of weeks I again contacted them with the same problem, but I called for road assistance so that there would be someone who could confirm the fact that the car does not charge, on top of that, the passenger door often does not open, you have to get out of the car from the inside and lock and unlock it so that you can let the passenger out. the loading lid also doesn't open and gets stuck, the most amazing news is that they don't have a replacement car and the place to check the car they has only on September, and another amazing fact, since the day we bought the car, we haven't received the car's document. I been contacted the seller several times when visiting the salon and sending the e-mails, but my voice cant reach them . Mysterious place branch , when they try to sell it car , they are such amazing and helpful sellers , but when you get the key and monthly payments start to coming to them accounts , everything mysterious changing , they become rude , arrogant and disrespectful. If you want peace of mind avoid this dealer .

VW allow these jokers to rep the brand?

How is it possible that VW Group allow these turnips to continue representing their brand in London?? Mind boggling.
This is quite possibly the worst experience I have ever experienced in any sector. As many of the reviews below state, they lie, ignore instructions from HQ, refuse to book anything in unless they’re sure it’s a high revenue job, just chaotic and jumbled mumbo jumbo whenever one makes contact with them. And this is all before they’ve got their dirty greedy hands on the car. What follows is, quite literally, on another level. None of the work is done to any professional standard whatsoever. Electrical work is downright dangerous and risky, they need to be banned from doing any work to any cars. And if one even begins to voice any concerns, the yobs at the front of house are almost ready to roll up their sleeves. It’s a complete and utter joke and a massive embarrassment to VW Group. More recently, VW Group in Germany (who are an absolutely amazing, focused and customer-centric team) investigated a fault that Alan Day could barely understand the components involved. It transpired that some software issue had meant that the car had never functioned properly. The team arranged a patch and sent it wirelessly to Alan Day and called me to explain what would happen next. The software would be updated for free. then… nothing. Weeks after chasing Alan Day, I went in and and all they had to do was press a button. Commotion, chaos, crying, tantrums. They simply refused to do it because there was no money in it. They wanted c.£300 or whatever the diagnostics charge is. For what? We already have a diagnosis and a treatment plan. Just press the button. And they also wanted a diagnostic charge to diagnose the dangerous electrical mess they believe qualifies as ‘professional fitting’. It’s a complete and utter s#itshow and every time I think of how they acted, I’m more shocked that VW Group allow these clowns to represent their brand in London of all places. I’m buying 1 share in VW Group and the CEO needs to be sent a letter. They’re performing what I consider such substandard work that it’s probably illegal and who do they think they are, ignoring what VW Group figured out needs fixing. Get rid. Not required!.
p.s Allan Day people / the below date is approx. I’m sure you know who I am but reach out if you’re not sure. I’m certainly not trying to mask the visit date.

Thank you, Tony & Aytac!

I have had a great experience with their Hampstead branch. I bought my car from them a few years ago and just sold it back to them. Having periodically brought the car in for servicing, I have gotten acquainted with many of them.

I recently had an issue regarding an incorrect entry with my mileage, and Tony DeJesus did a great job to resolve the issue.

More recently, I was in touch with Aytac Simsek, who is simply outstanding at what he does. He is polite, courteous, professional, understands the customer's needs and above all, always manages to smile! He came up with a valuation for my car, followed through with the initiative, kept me in the loop through the entire process. Simply put, he turned what I thought would be a very stressful experience into an utterly pleasant experience. Go Aytac!

Thanks also to the gentlemen who did the documentation (whose name, alas, I didn't catch).

DO NOT USE THIS VW DEALERSHIP

DO NOT USE THIS VW DEALERSHIP. Sold a vehicle with extras that cannot be fitted onto the vehicle. We have been charged for the extras though….

Every time we spoke to Martin Sweeney he lied to us on every question asked if he replied at all. Still waiting for him to get back to me 4/5 weeks later when he said he’s get right back to me! Emailed since and no reply

Plenty of other good VW dealerships to use, stay away from these.

Poor service recovery

Loyal customer for more than a decade. New used car sold to me last year with all the necessary paperwork completed. Smooth transaction with friendly and professional salesman. Fast forward a year and it turns out that the vehicle did not have a valid MOT. Alerted the dealership as soon as I found out. Had to leave the car at home as it was illegal to drive and take a taxi to work. As a way of apology Alan Day offered me a box of chocolates and agreed to refund me the £60 taxi fare. It’s been over a month and after 2 voicemails and an email, i’m still awaiting the refund. Totally unacceptable and a very poor level of service to a loyal customer.

Buying a new VW made easy

A thoroughly easy, flexible and enjoyable experience buying a new car.
What can be fraught and stressful was made easy by Tony Mancini who was helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Tony offered advice and options when I was unsure and asked (on both vehicles and finance) and gave me space when I needed to consider.
I’m really please with my new car and finance package. Highly recommended. Thank you Alan Day Hampstead and thank you Tony!

Good experience

We took a test drive with Daniel in an ID.3. Neither of us had driven an electric car before but he totally put us at ease. Transactions manager James was really helpful too, and next thing we knew we’d bought it. Very happy with our experience. Nice coffee too - Alex Skorecki

Antonio in the Skoda department is…

Antonio in the Skoda department is amazing went the extra mile totally went out of his way to ensure I had the car I wanted, when I wanted it and ensured it was presented amazingly! He sourced the car in stock and ensured I got it! This is by far the best dealer experience I’ve ever had and will 100% return for my another car when it’s time! He is a asset to Alan day!
