Service department bad professionals

The service department is very bad and not friendly stuff and also the professional mechanics is very bad they always done the worse service in my car as it always coming missing rubbers or something. When your car finish the warranty they don’t take the responsibility for the last repairing they have done in your car. I will never gonna buy another Kia in my life

Extremely disappointing experience

Extremely disappointing experience. Our car was kept for 2.5 weeks despite originally being advised it would take around 7 days. Communication was poor throughout, with little to no proactive updates, meaning we were constantly having to chase for progress.

In the end, the car was returned without a diagnosis, without a repair, and with no clear explanation of the fault. The feedback provided was largely speculative rather than based on any definitive findings.

What was most frustrating was being charged a significant diagnostic fee despite the vehicle being returned in exactly the same condition it arrived, with no issue resolved and no meaningful outcome from the time it spent in the workshop.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend their diagnostic service.

I Would ⛔AVOID⛔ this dealership at all…

I Would ⛔AVOID⛔ this dealership at all cost, purchased a car back in May 2025 not even 9 months and i have chased the Dealership for 2 weeks regarding being sold a car NOT FIT for purpose as the PPF filter on a PETROL car keeps coming on. I have been fobbed off numerous times by the sales person FAHAD and have been told that the service manager and Sales manger will call me Since 6th Feb 2026. I have 2 weeks worth of several Time lines and emails.

PLEASE READ THIS IF YOUR THINKING OF BUYING KIA PETROL CARS.
⚠️WARNING⚠️ because the sales person or anyone will not tell you about the new KIA cars especially the KIA Sportage MHEV being fitted with PPF (Petrol Particulate Filter) issues in Kia vehicles, particularly in models like the Sportage, often manifest as warning lights or "Keep driving to regenerate" messages, caused by soot buildup from short, low-speed city trips. Resolving this usually requires a, ~30-minute high-speed drive (over 50 mph/80 km/h) to regenerate the filter.

You only need to research the issues on the KIA and you will find many owners that have fallen into this trap.

There is no way anyone can do this type of driving in London as you cannot rev or drive like that. I even took the car for a 150 mile journey on the M4 and it did not clear this warning. You have to put it in Sports modes for 20min and drive at high revs and waste so much fuel to heat the filter for it to burn the soot off.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED i will be taking this up with Consumer Rights and write to the Finance company.

Purchase of Kia niro hybrid

The whole experience of buying our first "Kia niro 3 hybrid" from start to finish was excellent. We had the pleasure of dealing with your sales executive Fahad Mahmood who was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He kept us informed throughout the whole process. We were so happy that we came to this branch to purchase our new car.

I strongly advise anyone considering…

I strongly advise anyone considering buying a car from Alan Day to reconsider. If you currently have a car on order, I urge you to cancel it and secure your deposit immediately.

My advice is based on significant changes:

They have terminated their franchise with Volkswagen.

They have lost their franchise with BYD.

The business is undergoing a major transfer, with sites being taken over by Group 1 Automotive.

When major manufacturers sever ties, it is a huge red flag. Staff are leaving in large numbers, which speaks volumes about the company's stability.

Why risk your money? There are plenty of other dealers with secure franchises that will actually be there to deliver your car and honour its warranty. Protect your finances and take your business to a stable company.

**Avoid Kia Colindale

**Avoid Kia Colindale — disappointing service experience**

I recently contacted Kia Colindale regarding a door alignment issue on my newly purchased Kia Sportage. The doors were not closing properly, and I expected a straightforward fix. However, I was surprised and disappointed to be told by the service department that they do not work on vehicles purchased from other dealerships.

This was confirmed by the service receptionist after checking with a colleague. Instead of offering assistance, I was directed to a third-party body shop in Park Royal or advised to return to the original dealership where I bought the car.

This kind of response is unacceptable, especially from an authorised Kia dealership. I would have expected basic support for a new Kia vehicle, regardless of where it was purchased. If this is standard practice, it reflects poorly on Kia’s commitment to customer care.

I will be reporting this experience to Kia Head Office. In the meantime, I strongly advise others to avoid Kia Colindale — not worth the hassle.

Substandard service

We have put our 2020 model eNiro in two years running for an air con repair. August 2024, they said they’d fixed it, but there turned out to be a leak. Last week we took it in again having had to book well in advance. In advance of this booking we had taken it to a reputable car servicing place in Harrow. They had run a diagnostic on it and advised us that as the car was still under warranty we should take it back to the Hummingbird dealership and get it fixed as this was going to be a major expenditure to replace parts. We relayed the results of this report back to Kia when we took the car in last week and they said another diagnostic would have to be done in any case. So we left it with them for 3 days as they had suggested, and picked the car up with it working, but it turns out that they had obviously just regassed it as it ran down within a day. When I got the call from Nick to say it was ready, he just replied that the air con was fixed. I then had to ask him whether it was a major job as the Harrow report had indicated so. He replied that he didn’t know the in’s and out’s but a component had been replaced under warranty. There was also no paperwork given to us about the nature of the work done which I thought at the time was odd. When I rang and spoke to Nick yesterday he said he’d have to check with the service dept as to what exactly was done and he would ring me back within a couple of hours. It’s now 24 hours later and still no call back. We have booked in with another Kia dealership to get this problem sorted.

Having purchased a brand new EV Kia Niro, the vehicle has given me problems after two weeks and I have already taken it to the service department twice for repairs. I am now in the process of booking the vehicle a third time and I would like to return it, but the dealership is not responding to my request for a return.

AVOID AVOID AVOID if in COLINDALE…

AVOID AVOID AVOID if in COLINDALE LONDON!!!
Not sure why Kia hummingbird Colindale has 4.5/5. They’re only good for selling cars and that’s it!! The SERVICE is beyond CRAP!!!
Bought the car nearly 4 years ago at another branch and decided to take my car here for a service for convenience and first year was great but after that the level service got worse and worse.
I recently took it in for something which they couldn’t find any issues with and there was no updates or communication. I had to chase this and every day that I did and was told someone will call me back and at the point the Kia app would notify me that the cars been opened and bumper is open (which was left open overnight) so up to now you hadn’t done anything. Chased them again and they gave the same excuse they’ve been giving for a while “short on staff, staff off sick” etc.
Car had a complete different issue that wouldn’t cover on 7 year warranty and would cost us £4000k up. I took my car somewhere else for a 2nd opinion and I’m glad I did!
Avoid this branch at all costs, if you want great service don’t come here!!!

LITERALLY THE BEST!!!!

Literally the BEST service I have ever received especially from such a large dealership.
Predominantly I use their rental department and have for 5 years and will absolutely continue to do so infinitely.
The cars are immaculate, the service and staff are second to none and I would HIGHLY recommend Hummingbird Motors, whether you are looking or considering purchasing or even renting short or long term.

Thank you all so much, it has not gone unnoticed.

Kindest regards

Daniel Flower

HORRENDOUS SERVICE

I booked my car into Hummingbird for my Kia Nero Ev, it needed new safety belts and there was an alert on the dashboard to do with cameras. The first time it went in they didn't fit the new belts they told me that would order them and they couldn't see a fault with the sensors. The second time it went in, they said they would not order the belts and that they ran a diagnostic on the camera issue and they couldn't see a problem so would need further investigation. I ordered and paid for the belts then and there and they were to notify me when they were in, over a month passed and I heard nothing so I contacted them again and was told no belts had been ordered as I hadn't paid - I then sent them a copy of the invoice showing it had been paid. They finally ordered the parts. They called when the parts were in to arrange for the car to go in, a further month later, I reminded him that it would still need to be reassessed re the sensor issue and he should look through the notes. I took the car in yesterday and they said no problem the belts were in, I reminded them again to check the sensor issue, which the guy didn't know about but I told him to check his notes - I left the car and they called a few hours later to say the belts were fitted and I could collect the car. I said what about the sensor issue, he said what issue? he looked through the notes and said his colleague would check and come back to me - he was very rude. They finally called and said that the car needed a diagnostic check (which it had last night but he didn't see notes on it) and if they wouldn't find the problem, they would have to start taking the bumper off to see what they could find and they would charge me per hour - I told them to spend the first hour looking and then come back to me - they didn't - I called a few more times and each time the guy didn't understand the issue - finally they came back to me to say the car wasn't even in the workshop yet and they would have to keep the car overnight. Finally today they called to say that two parking sensors were damaged and that they would need to take the bumper off to repair them, it wasn't covered under the warranty because I had had an accident. I had not. I have taken the car back and will get another dealer to look at it.

I haven’t even left the building yet and they’re already at a 2, I can only see it going downhill from here. The receptionist was lovely however I’ve been left here standing for 10 minutes now no offer of a seat or a cold drink in this hot weather….im waiting for the parts department and I can see two gentlemen sitting there chatting away but clearly the waiting customer isn’t as important as the conversation they’re having. I’ve now rung the bell twice, but I doubt it’ll change anything. Customer service training is definitely required here. I’m also disabled but no one has asked me what my needs are. I won’t bother updating as I can’t see it getting any better

Avoid Hummingbird motors for service

Avoid Hummingbird motors for a service. I have been using them for years and was satisfied with their customer service until now. They have really gone downhill this year. Dropped car for a service & MOT first thing in the morning ( one of the first cars in at 8 am) and was only called at the end of the day after 5 pm to collect ( and they ask to get to them at 5.30 pm when you drop off the car!). Was not sent a report, email or had any call during the day to inform me what work was required. Only after payment at the end of the day when collecting the car I was told what work was needed and sent a report with no time for the recommended work to be carried out! Was asked to book for another day. They have just lost a loyal customer for their real poor customer service not being of a satisfactory level. Seeing from their replies to previous reviews they really do not like when they are challenged for poor service and staff on the day were really unbothered about my concerns. AVOID USING THEM!
