Another fantastic stay. Extremely helpful and polite wardens, facilities block spotless as always. Well done, I’m sure we will return once again.

99 percent of sites are beautiful and clean and welcoming the only site we had bother at thirsk racecourse site not very welcoming and outdated you have to move to the back field when racing is on no water electric etc don’t know why the club doesn’t move the site to the back field permanently then you wouldn’t have to move when theirs race meetings on

You know what you are getting with the club regarding facilities and standards. I feel that the club is too expensive though. Many private sites have facilities equal to that of the club but considerably cheaper. I book club sites mainly for the location or convenience.

Very clean site. Staff work really hard to accommodate your needs. I would definitely recommend this site although a little way from beach and walk wasn’t flat ; however the distance didn’t put us off as the views were spectacular. Thank you Godrevy site, really enjoy our holiday. Well done!

Excellent well maintained and clean site, the position is fantastic with woodland walks surrounding the site.
Two toilet / shower blocks well maintained and clean with motorhome service points at each block.
There were excellent food vans catering to a range of tastes with fish and chips on Friday and wood fired pizzas on Saturday night with the added bonus of bacon and sausage sandwiches Sunday morning

Lovely little site and great staff, but absolutely zero usable Wi-Fi. And to be clear, this isn't just a review of Treamble. It's an issue I’ve experienced across far too many CAMC sites. Wi-Fi is no longer a “nice to have”. For many people, it’s as much a basic campsite utility as electricity, water and drainage. I’ve been a CAMC member for five years, and it’s frankly astonishing that so many sites still offer around 2 Mbps as their basic broadband service. That’s simply not good enough in 2026. At Treamble, I was actually advised not to purchase the premium Wi-Fi because it was apparently no better than the free service. What’s the point in offering a paid upgrade if the underlying service isn't fit for purpose? I know some people will be thinking, “Why are you worried about Wi-Fi when you’re on holiday?” I’m an IT professional and, when possible, I work from my campervan. But even when I’m not working, I’d like to be able to listen to Spotify or watch Netflix. At many CAMC sites, I simply can't. I also recently stayed at Dornafield, where there was again no usable Wi-Fi. I booked a fully serviced pitch, only to find that the TV aerials didn't work either. This just isn't good enough, CAMC. You can't continually increase pitch prices while allowing basic services to deteriorate. If a site is in a Wi-Fi blind spot, then invest in a proper solution. Starlink exists. There are plenty of options available now. We pay good money for a pitch and deserve a service that reflects what we're paying. As the saying goes, you have to speculate to accumulate. Invest in the infrastructure, improve the customer experience, and people will notice. Please, CAMC, sort this woeful Wi-Fi issue out. I was getting 2 Mbps on dial-up in the 1990s! Surely we can do better than that in 2026.

Serious concerns about Wi-Fi, TV coverage and investment in sites

I find it extremely disappointing that your Wi-Fi heat maps appear to confirm just how poor Wi-Fi coverage is across many of your sites. However you choose to present the information, attractive listings and promotional images do not change the underlying problem.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club needs to invest properly in the infrastructure at its sites if it wants to remain competitive and meet the expectations of its members in the future. We pay an annual membership fee of £60, as well as often paying more for pitches than we would at other campsites, so it is reasonable to expect a proportion of that income to be reinvested in improving the facilities.

Reliable Wi-Fi and adequate TV coverage are no longer luxuries for many campers. They are important facilities, particularly for members who stay for longer periods or need to remain connected while away.

I have reached the point where I will no longer stay at sites where the Wi-Fi and TV coverage are known to be inadequate. More importantly, unless I see meaningful investment and improvement, I will not be renewing my membership.

I would therefore like to know what plans the Club has to address these issues and, importantly, when members can realistically expect to see improvements across its sites.

I hope the Club will take this criticism seriously and recognise that members are increasingly expecting value for the considerable amount they spend with you each year.

Very easy to book and check in, friendly people when checking in, giving all information we needed and showed us to our pitch. We were on the rally field as the horse racing was on and the usual location for stays were being used for parked cars and horse boxes. We were told we could move our van to the actual site after 7.30pm if we choose to do so or we could move down in the morning to use the facilities of toilets and shower.
Wonderful place to stay for the races which was why we were going but we also discovered Thirsk is a beautiful little town and only a 5 minute walk away. We will definitely be going back.

Mayday Breakdown - words cannot express the wonderful service, care and attention I received from Mayday. Firstly, within 2 hours of calling Mayday a technician from Green Flag was with me at my campsite. He diagnosed the problem on my vehicle (ABS sensor on front wheel had failed, causing many problems with the rest of the electronics). He then tried lots of garages but none could fit me in. As it was getting late in the day, and after talking it over with me, we agreed I would try more garages in the morning, then make a decision on what I would do. I still had 2 more days on the campsite so I had time.
The next morning, I tried more garages to no avail and so I made the decision I would need to be recovered. I was quite anxious as I had never been through a situation like this before. At first the person I spoke to made me more so as he said he had to tell me that they may recover me, my caravan and my car separately! I then tried to explain that the caravan needed to go to storage and got quite panicky! I then explained I was an older person on my own with my close family abroad on their holidays so no one I could call on to help me, which was why I was getting even more nervous/anxious and worried. I think it was at that point that he told me to no longer worry and leave everything with him and he would sort it all out, he told me that he would call me back once he had arranged everything and not to worry. Within 5 minutes I received a message to tell me a recovery truck would be with me to collect me, my caravan and my car in less than 2 hours! I then received the promised phone call to reiterate that full recovery was arranged. It was the speediest taking down of awning, tidying and packing away I have ever done!!
The recovery truck arrived on time and I still wasn’t totally ready, although I was absolutely shattered and worn out! The wonderful young man from Manchetts Recovery went above and beyond in my opinion. He told me that I had as much time as I needed, he was really concerned for my welfare and once I did have everything sorted there was a little delay with something technical on his truck so he made sure that I was able to sit down. After a little while he asked if I had food and water and was feeling less anxious and more relaxed, it felt like not only was he taking good care with my car and caravan, he was taking special care of me. The journey home was brilliant, I was taken to my caravan storage and we got the caravan put away and then I was driven home and my car was parked up until the garage can fit me in. As I said at the beginning words cannot express the wonderful service and the care and understanding of everyone I dealt with. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Good location for days out,the staff on site were ultra helpful thank you for your hard work keeping this site beautiful.

The new wardens are excellent and welcomed us with four children under 11. The children had a great time just being 'kids' which everyone commented on. Thank you.

Facilities are clean and the sites are tidy. The staff are always helpful. Dog walks are excellent. The addition of extra dog poo bins would be beneficial. Gill and John were great. The bar and take away on site were a great addition too.

The pool attracts a lot of children as a result children are running around the site too. Playing football in between grass pitches - riding bikes through pitches and playing in the dog run/walk area. Staff need to patrol early evening when this is happening. It felt like an unregulated free for all - We didn’t enjoy our stay 🫣😢

Friendly staff and very clean green site. Felt safe and plenty to do in the area with my dog as a solo female traveller.

Harhill House Club Campsite

Great campsite. Lovely clean tidy pitches, surrounding areas all well manicured. Showers clean and hot. Lovely, helpful staff. Good base location for visiting surrounding areas.
I did swim in the sea most days, its not the best, very murky and I got stung by a jellyfish ( no harm done )
Lively pub nearby, we didn't visit but could hear the live music at the weekend, it was nice not intrusive.
Easy check in and a lovely selection of pitches depending on what you like sun/shade/near amenities. Very quiet at night and peaceful during the day.

A lovely clean and well kept site, all staff were friendly and helpful this was my 2nd visit and definitely won’t be my last

I found all the facilities perfect as usual.

Luna motor home hire are a shocking company, you will never see your security deposit returned , Mr Peter Schmidt is the instigator of threats, be very careful of your dealings with this company Luna motor home Northampton, dishonest , nasty people another one to mistrust is Nicola who is not to be trusted.
