Extremely disappointing experience with DynoRod Plumbing.

I had a leak from the waste pipe underneath my bathroom sink and reported it through my British Gas HomeCare cover. A DynoRod engineer attended on Friday, but apparently had no notes about the problem, so I had to explain everything again. He used my own tools to tighten the joints and added a washer.

I wrapped tissue around the joints to check whether the leak had been resolved. Within an hour, the tissue was completely soaked.

I contacted British Gas again and another DynoRod engineer attended on Saturday. I showed him the wet tissue, but he said he couldn’t see a leak. He removed the wet tissue from the joints and put it in the toilet, then applied some tape to one of the joints.

When I explained that water coming out of a pipe or joint is a leak and asked for the pipework to be replaced, his response was:

“Well what do you want me to do about it?”

He then said he couldn’t do anything because he couldn’t see a problem and walked out of my property without fixing the leak.

I tested the joints again with fresh tissue after he left. Once again, the tissue became completely soaked.

What makes this even more concerning is that the bathroom is used by three vulnerable people — one person is paralysed and disabled, one is receiving end-of-life care, and another is a cancer patient currently attending radiotherapy at St Bartholomew’s Hospital.

The appointment was then moved from Monday to Tuesday, with conflicting explanations given about why the engineer could not attend. Throughout this process, I had to repeatedly chase British Gas and DynoRod rather than anyone taking ownership of the problem.

I appreciate that engineers can encounter genuine difficulties and that appointments sometimes need to be rearranged. What I cannot accept is an engineer attending twice, failing to resolve an obvious ongoing leak, dismissing the evidence, and leaving the property without carrying out a proper repair.

I would strongly question the quality of service provided and, based on this experience, I would give DynoRod zero stars if Trustpilot allowed me to.

The team was sent to investigate and find a leak under my floorboards near my boiler, which they did very quickly. They fixed it promptly and restored the floorboards and carpet as good as it was before.
They also put my mind at rest where I suspected another leak by doing the same there. They answered any questions I had and were friendly and polite throughout. They even put plastic covers on their shoes which few tradesmen bother to do these days.
I normally use Dynorod for any plumbing issues I have and yet again, they didn't disappoint!

Two very friendly guys came on time and were very helpful and respectful (came with their shoe bags, its a big thing for me, as we dont wear outside shoes indoors).
They were very quick to diagnose the matter being water pressure & no further work was required.

When we have any plumbing issues, we find DYNO Plumbing is excellent. We always ask for Luke as he is highly knowledgeable and reliable. He has a great manner and can be trusted to fix issues. He has dealt with many issues for us including with taps and toilet flush.

We were quite worried about the hidden leak in our flat. Daniel located the leak and made the repair. The damage is less than what we feared. Daniel was quick, professional and thorough. We highly recommend your services.

This is a very appauling place to work in as a staff. The head of customer service Ronald Shanmugaratnam swore at me on the phone in front of members of staffs constantly while I worked here. He abused me and discriminated me when I worked there. When reported the manger took it lightly and did not do anything to resolve the issue.

Liam came to our home to fix a leak in Radiator pipe. Although it was a bit tricky work, he managed to finally fix and repaired the issue to our full satisfaction. Liam was extremely polite and patient and took care to explain the issue and recommended future use. Very pleased with this young gentleman with such good manners. Refreshing these days to find such skills with good manners.

Liam the plumber did a great job and located and fixed the problem very quickly with minimal disturbance and mess.

I have a leak in my bathroom, they have sent three different people out to fix the problem, they keep changing their quotation and they have not fix the issue. They clearly do not what they are doing. Poor customer service. Wouldn’t not recommend them. Total waste of time!

What a way to make an already stressful situation even worse.

I had an all-day appointment booked, and I still didn’t receive any confirmation, call, or message to say the engineer was 30 minutes away. As always, the moment I had to leave the house, he arrived. I explained that I had just stepped out but my wife was on her way back — he refused to wait. The entire interaction was recorded on my Ring doorbell.

He was rude and dismissive. When I asked why he didn’t call ahead, he claimed he did — but there are no missed calls, no voicemail, nothing. If he actually called, it must have been a quick ring-and-cancel, because nothing came through. Why say you called when you didn’t?

He then refused to return, claiming I was rude. Yes, I was frustrated — understandably — because he wouldn’t wait even briefly, but I was not rude. Why couldn’t he simply say he’d go to another job and come back later? Why escalate an already stressful situation, especially when we have a leak spreading through the house and cannot use any water, with kids at home?

And now, unbelievably, I’ve been given a new appointment in six days’ time.

To repeat: we have an active leak spreading, and we cannot use water. This is an urgent situation, and delaying it by nearly a week is unacceptable.

Fantastic professional team from start to finish. Klaidi fitted our new tap and replaced a burst flexible pipe under the sink with maximum efficiency and attention to detail. Was considerate of our home by minimising any mess and tidying up after and was so courteous and helpful. Brilliant customer service extended to Shahriyar who made appointment and took payment over the phone. Wish all tradespeople were like these guys! Highly recommended.

3 rd visit to replace basin ,straight swoop but tap hole required , replace plug & waste .
Basin installed , without a tap whole as booked - ie no tap - no running water !
Last appointment canceled - no show !
Appoitment before , was booked for replace basin waste , but cancelled to merge to instal basin same time -
Now , we re left with no running water .
