I would strongly recommend Epic Cycles…
I would strongly recommend Epic Cycles if you're looking for a new bike in these difficult times. Whilst my new bike took six months to arrive following me placing an order, they kept in touch to give me updates. The long delivery time was of course not Epic Cycles fault, that was down to Covid-19 and Brexit.
The on-line ordering was simple, and so too was paying the final balance. I was provided with on-line tracking details, and the new bike arrived when they said it would. Great stuff Epic Cycles, with special mention to Viv !

I want to say a huge thank you to the whole Epic Cycles team for helping me purchase my bike. It is perfect and I am so happy with it!!!!! Having been messed around by Evans Cycles it was a joy to have your support and assistance. Your service was very informative, professional and efficient. I couldn't recommend it higher. Thank you. A personalised service and a great price
I'd read the reviews on Epic, and some (from 2015) weren't exactly complimentary - so I proceeded with caution. I ordered a custom Orbea, with lots of oddities. It wasn't the slickest process, mainly I think because we were right in the middle of lockdown 2, but we got it ordered in the end. It didn't help that I kept changing my mind - but then it's my bike and my money :-)
Whilst ordering may not have been the slickest, the price was excellent and the service at delivery was exemplary. I wanted to set up tubeless, but they couldn't do that and then ship the bike, so they set it up with tubes and sent me a full tubeless set up kit and a fair amount of instruction. Big thanks to Viv for all his support.
The bike itself, an Orbea Terra, is superb. I wanted to go 1X, but Ben @epic asked me about my cycling and convinced me to go 2X. He was definitely right!
All in all, a good service and a good price at a really tough period of our history (Covid). And the bike, my first gravel bike, has already transformed my cycling. And whilst it's far from local to me I'm glad I chose a local business over a Evans or a Halfords. Thanks!

Honestly one of the best bike shops…
Honestly one of the best bike shops around. Starting off they are like no other bike shop, you want a non-stock build, they’re on it! Don’t like the stock wheels, they can change them out - usually for way less than you could possibly imagine. So if you’re stuck looking at a bike, but there’s something about it you just don’t like (wheels, tyres, bar), drop Epic Cycles a message and chances are they’ll be able to build up a bike exactly how you want it, without it costing the earth.
I purchased a SuperSix Evo from them last spring, purchasing was simple, communication was fast and thorough - they keep you well updated throughout (i.e. when your bike is due to be build…), and provide an all around brilliant service. I’ve shopped at a load of bike shops, and truly none compare to how good these guys are, they aren’t just wanting to sell you a bike, they want to get you the best deal, and give you the best service. I received the bike (shipped with APC, who I can’t fault - so good choice there), well packaged and really well built up with a good attention to detail. I did however run into some problems a few weeks down the line, which was through no fault of Epic Cycle - it was a slipping seatpost issue. I got in touch with them, and they were incredibly helpful with getting the problem resolved, liaising with Cannondale on the issue and helping me to get it swiftly resolved. After which the bike ran faultlessly. Again, couldn’t fault their communication and thoroughness. They really did go above and beyond.
I then had a crash late last year (cut up by a driver), which unfortunately wrote my bike off. Because of how amazing Epic Cycles were when I first purchased and had my subsequently issues, they were my first port of call for when it came to getting it replaced. Unfortunately this was at a time where bike stock was non-existent and the waiting list for a new bike was into summer of 2021, however, Epic Cycles (particularly Tom) really went above and beyond in helping me to get it replaced. They managed to source a new bike from Cannondale (which I was able to get through their crash replacement scheme), and I went from paying the deposit for the bike, to it being build and receiving it in only a week. This skims over a vast amount of detail and truly how amazing Epic Cycles are, but I hope it paints a picture. So if you are looking for a new bike, and its one that Epic Cycles stock, I honestly cannot recommend getting in contact with them enough. Not only for the fact that you will undoubtedly be getting the best deal, but also for the piece of mind that if you are unfortunate enough to run into trouble with your bike, whether that be a mechanical issue or like in my case have it written off, they will quite literally do everything they can to help you out. I’m not sure I’ll ever purchase from anywhere else again, and in fact I have already started looking at purchasing another bike from them!

Awesome experience ..
Awesome experience ... These guys have transformed my riding... From having a proper sit down conversation re goals and style of riding in order to choose the right bike ( Kinesis ATR) .. then proper sizing and bike fit ... yes I had to wait for it to arrive ( but that's out of their control) Communication was great ... Better still have been the on going support from the Workshop team ( Especially Tom & Linc .. simply superb service management for the big events I have attended and so supportive through lockdown .. helping with sourcing and the minor work that I am learning to do... These folks are not your normal LBS .. they go far far further. Its a pleasure to do business with them and I couldn't recommend them more.

BIKE PROVIDED WITH WRONG SPECS
BIKE PROVIDED WITH WRONG SPECS. EPIC UNWILLING TO REMEDY.
In January 2020 I purchased a Cervelo P-Series size XL. Epic had provided the specs before I made the purchase. They stated the crank arm length at 175mm.
I noticed after some time that the crank arm length is only 172.5mm. I therefore wrote to Epic but my first three emails were unanswered. I eventually called and after exchanging several emails, Epic has taken the position that as the bike has been used, they will not replace the crank.
In other words, Epic has acknowledged that the bike was not provided as specified and agreed between seller and buyer. This is a clear breach of contract.
Apart from their very slow response, in my view Epic's position is unacceptable as they have made a clear misrepresentation. I made the purchase based on the specs provided and Epic should correct what is clearly their mistake.
Epic quality advice
I contacted Epic cycles as I was interested in buying a gravel bike. Mark Cope at Epic contacted me with extremely competitive prices for a bike I was interested in and I was on the verge of ordering the bike when I looked at alternatives not stocked by Epic. Mark gave me invaluable advise on the type of bike I was looking at even though he knew that this would mean not making a purchase with Epic. His knowledge and expertise prevented me from making a potentially very expensive mistake. As Mark told me, his motivation was for me to get a quality product from a reputable dealer whether or not that involved Epic. This ethos is very rare these days. I would have no hesitation to recommend Epic and especially Mark to the cycling buying public and I am only too sorry that I couldn't do business with him on this occasion
Bianchi Aria E-Road
I recently bought a Bianchi Aria E-road from Epic cycles and I would like to thank them for very pleasant and easy transaction and a special thanks to Ben for all his help and quick response to my inquiries.
I do most of my biking in the Yorkshire Dales and as I turned 70 this year I thought it was time to get a bit of help on the hills and the Aria fulfills this need admirably. The bike is rear wheel pedal assist and cuts out when reaching 15 mph and has 3 power settings, it can also be turned off when not required without any drag on the the wheel.
The battery lasts for about 40 miles on 50% power but would last longer on a more flatter terrain.
The bike is perfect for anyone needing help on strenuous climbs and also looks great.
Great service from start to finish
Great service from start to finish - I opted to go for a MiO Orbea & so the longer wait time was part of the purchase but it arrived earlier than expected anyway. All my questions were talked through first & I was kept up to date through each part of the ordering process. Ben & co were really helpful & the bike fit was very good too, getting me set up perfectly on the new ride. Good prices & great service by genuine 'bike loving' people - get your orders in!
Effortless Purchase - Would highly recommend!
Purchased a Cervelo S5 from Mark in the Sales Team. Highly professional from first contact to final hand shake. Best example of customer service I have encountered for a number of years - would highly recommend for purchase of any new bike.
Dreadful
Having travelled from Kent to Shropshire to test ride an Orbea Gain F40, I was assured that, were I to order the bike, delivery time would be about two weeks.
After the two weeks had elapsed, with no sign of the bike, the problems started. I was given various spurious reasons for the ensuing delays. At one point I was told that, to expedite delivery, Mavic wheels had been secured for my bike in place of the specced (and inferior) Rodi Airlines. I was told on multiple occasions that the bike was about to be shipped, only to be told later that it hadn't. After two months of being fobbed off with excuses, I informed Epic of my decision to cancel my order, only to be told that the bike had shipped that morning! The bike was with me four days later, without so much as a pedal spanner. (Yes, I've got several, but they weren't to know that). More pertinently, the wheels fitted were not Mavics! I have since queried this omission several times but my emails have been studiously ignored. In the month since delivery there has been no customer follow-up whatsoever, and certainly no adequate apology for the protracted and excuse-riddled delivery process. Friends who have experienced similar delays have been offered discounts or added kit as compensation; I haven't even got the specification I was promised. As customer experiences go, Epic seem to have gone out of their way to make this a truly dreadful one.
pretty poor
I've had two experiences with Epic cycles over the past three years, I will start with the first.
Jan 2017 when I placed an order for a Orca M10 team disc, I placed a large deposit over £2k with a delivery date of late March, then in late Feb it changed to May, then in April it changed to June... My instinct was that Epic cycles were at the back end of the factory queue and I would miss a whole season, so I cancelled the order as no offer of compensation was made, I received a refund with little apology.
Roll on 2019, I found an adventure bike built around the frame I wanted and thought I would give Epic another chance. The service was good, as was the comms, I was then passed over to a service team who helped with any changes on the order.
I received the bike, I didn't ride it for a couple of weeks but the rear mech felt wrong and wouldn't sit in the top rings. I paid for a local mobile mech to visit and found that it was the limiters not set correct, I contacted Epic who said the hanger might have been bent in transit, but with the excellent packaging i doubted this. Anyway back on the bike it still wasn't right, I tried to sort myself but with no joy and just had to have the mech back out to take a look, he checked the hanger alignment which was good, so the hanger wasn't bent but the hanger screws had not been tightened, the damage this could have caused is shocking!!! Also the wheel set after 30 miles had gone out of true on the rear which had to be sorted due to spokes bedding in which I wasn't warned of.
I understand new bikes mostly don't come perfectly running but now I have had to pay again for basic issues with a poor build and QA. I emailed Epic with the first invoice expecting them to contact me, nothing, no return email and now I am £40 out of pocket due to their poor build on the basics. If i had used a LBS they would have sorted these issues for free, why should I have to pay the extra £40 just because I bought online?
I wouldn't recommend them, they give good sales advice but the after service is very poor.

Excellent service throughout
Excellent, knowledgeable, friendly service throughout making the purchase of my Orbea Gain a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I was given helpful advice by Ben when selecting my chosen bike, kept informed by Viv throughout the manufacturing phase and Christian ensured the bike was correctly set up for me and that I understood all of features and functions on the bike.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Epic to anyone considering purchasing a bike.
I recently purchased an Orbea Orca Aero…
I recently purchased an Orbea Orca Aero M20i, with MyO customised frame colour and spec.
From 1st contact, the service from Epic was excellent. They promptly responded to emails/queries and were highly professional. The bike fit experience on collection was also great.
I am delighted with the bike, it is absolutely stunning! It has exceeded my expectations as the colour scheme is even better in the flesh!
I have no hesitation in recommending Epic and will certainly use them again.
Thank you.
Best Customer Service - Thumbs up to Epic Cycles
A first class recommendation, for a first class service. I live on the Isle of Man and there is not a Kinesis supplier over here. Epic were a bit unsure selling me a bike without a proper bike fit - something I consider essential as well. So, my own Island based bike fitter stepped up to the mark, and with his support, plus the exceptional service from Epic and their team, I am now riding the bicycle of my dreams. The Kinesis GTD. I am now ready to succeed on my first Super Randoneur Audax Series. The bike more than fantastic, and is just what I was looking for.
Outstanding experience from start to finish
Outstanding experience from start to delivery. Great prices but I'd buy from them again for the advice help and knowledge alone. Very easy to deal with. A total pleasure. Highly recommended.
Less than average service
Initial contact with Epic Cycles was good and the Comms while they sourced and despatched my new frame were also good. I chose to buy my new frame from Epic because their website makes so much of the care and attention they pay to the bikes and frames they sell and because of this I put them ahead of other online retailers. They say they'll check items before despatch but there was no clear evidence of this - frame still in the manufacturers box and factory wrapped. They supplied a headset with the frame but didn't fit it although the website says they will. Having had the frame set up at my local bike shop it has cost me another £100 to do much of preparation I expected from Epic like fitting the headset and facing the bottom bracket shell. I would only deal with them in the future on a price basis and not because I expected to receive good service and customer support.
