Eversure Cycle Insurance

Eversure Cycle Insurance – Avoid
Do not waste your money on Eversure Cycle Insurance. My electric bike was stolen while locked with a Gold Standard lock to a concreted public signpost, fully in line with their policy requirements. Despite this, my claim was rejected.
They argued that because the lock was taken by the thief, there was “no evidence of force”, and then retrospectively decided the signpost was unsuitable — even though it meets their own definition of an immovable object. This is completely unreasonable. A bike cannot be stolen from a fixed object without force, and it is entirely predictable that a thief would remove the lock.
This feels like a deliberate attempt to avoid paying a valid claim by hiding behind technicalities and vague interpretations. The policy provides a false sense of security and is meaningless when you actually need it.
I would strongly recommend avoiding Eversure if you expect fair treatment or common-sense decision-making.

Weak Insurance - Claim Outsourced - Accidental Damage Claim Rejected

I took out specialist camera insurance prior to a holiday in S.E Asia -

During the trip the camera had stopped working following a sudden change in temp from aircon to ambient temperature.

The claim was rejected due to a clause on the policy stating atmospheric conditions would be an exception to cover, despite the damage being obviously accidental.

The claim handler advised that "the policy was more for theft or for accidental damage if the camera had been dropped". So if you have butterfingers - this is the company to be insured by!

I was also investigated as to why I had taken out a policy and then made a claim shortly afterwards, so I would not recommend this company if you are looking for short term cover for a holiday or trip.

The claim was outsourced to Sedgwick, I have not once been able to speak with anyone at Eversure about the claim.

The claim handlers manner was cold, not understanding and I felt as if during the 40 min teams call that I was being led to be tripped up so they could decline the claim.

I also requested info on how to dispute the claim, handler said they would send this but has not yet been received.

I would not recommend this company for photographers or travellers.
