Excellent service, issues sorted quickly and great customer service

My Bank assumed the payment for my insurance was in some way fraudulent and cancelled my card. I phoned HIC and explained my predicament, I was put through to an extremely competent adviser, who, could not have been more helpful, she was an extremely cheerful girl and resolved my problem with the minimum of fuss, she was a star in an other wise terrible day!.

HIC are easily the best insurance company I have dealt with. The Customer Service team are brilliant, enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable. I needed European cover and they gave me exactly the cover I needed and the extra cover ended up costing less than the limited cover offered by a 'big name' insurer. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Everyone I have spoken to over the last four years have been very help and been able to answer my questions.
I have required a 24/7 Insurance to travel Europe and truthfully found this a bit expensive but never the less, required. Personally, I would have liked to have included a 'No Claims' Bonus for the cost.
The service is very good and receive documents very quickly, All in good time. Thank you.

Listen to all the poor reviews they are spot on. This company seem at home to basically rob you at will.
I had a quote, they then added a further 25% to that premium because of an accident that was not my fault and one I didn't claim for.

Highly rate! HIC have super friendly customer service advisors (Emma was especially helpful and friendly). Their policy’s are easy to understand and explained well by the advisors and the price of insurance is respectably low. I’ve been with them for almost 2 years and I will carrying on using them! I have a black box which makes the insurance cheaper and the app which is paired to the black box is so easy to use!

Morally bankrupt company. They are charging me the equivalent of four months insurance for three weeks of cover because I have cancelled my policy. Despite declining a credit agreement with their associates premium credit. Shameless day light robbery.

Have been with HIC for over 10yrs, always thought they were amazing, friendly staff when renewing or changing policy.
But when something goes wrong they don't want to know...just palm you off to the under wrighter and the MIB
Don't trust a company that's all friendly in the good times but doesn't want to know when you need help.. will not be using them again.

When the going is easy any business appears great. When there's heavy lifting to do, though, is when you get the measure of your supplier and, for me, Herts Insurance went missing when, as my broker, I needed their support.

Decided to use them as my vehicle was slightly modified. Adrian Flux/Herts Insurance specialise in these areas, so you get why I went with them to cover my vehicle.

Early June 20, I receive an email from HIC stating I'd been involved in an incident and what's my account of things?

After immediately contacting HIC, it transpires I had been falsely identified. The incident was in the NE of England and I (fortunately) could prove I was in Kent on the day. I had access to CCTV footage to prove my innocence. All straight forward to clear my name, you'd think, wouldn't you?

HIC then told me "it's nothing to do with us, you need to contact Markerstudy, your underwriters". This all started for me on 09-Jun-20. Can you believe, as I write this on 28-Aug-20, it is still not resolved.

Way too much litigation details for me to list here and my Lawyers and I are about to start proceedings against both HIC and Markerstudy but my advice to anyone reading this is just stick with recognised insurance companies and deal direct, not through a broker.

I have wasted hours upon hours emailing, phoning, sending CCTV footage to clear my name.

Think very, very carefully before committing your order to either of these businesses.

Representative was thorough and knowledgeable, explained policy well and wasn’t overpowering on the extras, which is very refreshing. Scoured the deals and give options to me, regarding my cover. Enjoyable experience

Ciaran was excellent, he is friendly and knowledgeable. I have a unusual vehicle which was no problem, I gave my details and received a great quote. It was no hassle at all to set the policy up and with people who know what they are doing even with a vehicle that’s not your average car. Highly recommend using HIC for your insurance.

I had a problem with my car insurance as I was highly overcharged. I had already exceeded the amount of time where I could change my quote. But Billy and Taylor were absolutely amazing and have sorted it all out for me. I am so grateful to this Brilliant company, thankyou so so much. Would highly recommend!!!!!

Cheapest renewal offer by 10% on a comparison site for some strange reason. Got my wife to double check the details and it all seemed genuine, so I renewed 1 week before my policy was due to expire. Out of the blue I get a call from a random mobile number just before my renewal date... pick it up and a representative from Herts Insurance claims my policy has been cancelled because they checked an insurance database and the date of a declared incident was incorrect. I corrected them by offering to send a screenshot of my comparison website application as they were quoting incident dates that differed to my online application. They backtracked and refunded my deposit... and more importantly confirmed that 'I cancelled the policy before it was due to commence'. Had I received their call after the policy started... the agent said I would've lost my deposit and they would've cancelled my policy automatically due to an alleged false application. Meaning I would have had to declare a policy being cancelled on me on any future applications. In summary avoid like the plague or use at your own peril.
