Getting things done in difficult times
I wouldn't trust them.
I tried to cancel my car insurance with them before it was due to cover me. I initially thought my previous car ins. provider, LV, had expired as I had lost their contract papers when moving house. It hadn't expired so I tried to cancel Herts Ins offer but they failed to reply and took £89.85 from my bank acct on 7th Feb 2020. I tried to contact them several times but their systems failed to let me get to speaking to any one and they ignored my emails. Since then they have taken a further £47.36 from my acct on the 13th Feb 20.20
I am now going to ask my bank to stop paying them and try to recover what they have taken from me.
Horrendous Customer Service
I had someone crash into me who admitted liability at the scene. Herts passed me onto Co-plus who then passed me to Easidrive who seemed more concerned in ‘giving’ me a courtesy car. I heard nothing from Easidrive for weeks and only on asking they had lost all my documents I’d taken time to send them! A week later they told me they were dropping the claim! They referred me back to Co-plus whereby I was told I had to resend them all the documents I’d sent to Easidrive. I was spoken to like an idiot by an obnoxious member of their sales team. Luckily the call was recorded and I received an apology. I was then told I had to pay and arrange my own engineers report. I’ve been with Herts for years and I don’t really know what I’m paying them to do. Absolutely useless, pass you from pillar to post, send you condescending emails and will drop you in a minute. AVOID! I have two policies and will not be renewing!!
Terrible customer service
I have just had an appalling experience trying to insure my car. Why do companies purport to sell online car insurance, take your money and then say there is a problem so you have to contact them by phone before they will issue a policy? So, I rang and 35 minutes later having spoken to 4 different people and after totally repeating all the information asked for online, I get, ‘thank you’ I’ll just put you on hold while we double check the information. Considering they had given me a quote on receiving exactly the same information and having taken the money, it makes you wonder if they’re getting something out of the length of the phone call. Terrible customer service from Stirling Insurance or Herts Insurance Consultants or whatever they are called.

Just started a policy with the guys at HIC, great service and went out of their way several times to give me accurate answers to all of my questions - friendly and fast phone service, would recommend for someone looking for modified car insurance as these guys definitely seem to know what they are talking about and offer a great level of cover for a very reasonable price in my experience

I had a bit of trouble getting a new car so I insured it at first and then got there and realised it wasn’t as described. They immediately changed it back to my other car for me and I got a refund aswell!!!
Then today I got my new car and changed the insurance back hassle free!

Efficient Emma
I have had a complicated problem involving wrong or misplaced emails but I cannot commend highly enough the help that Emma gave me. She was understanding, patient and highly efficient. I had been getting to the end of my patience but thanks to Emma all is well. I was even able to remain calm when yet another misplaced and erroneous email arrived suggesting my insurance was expiring but thanks to Taylor, who linked up with Emma during her lunch break, we seem to have resolved that problem. Praise be to Emma and thanks to Taylor.

The staff member I dealt with was called Amy and she couldn't have been more helpful, knowledgeable and friendly if she'd tried! Amy was a pleasure to deal with and she managed to sort my request over the phone in an extremely professional and prompt manner!
