Excellent level of service from very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

I recently purchased a Mazda3 from John Clark in Perth. I paid £350 to have the car transported to Leicestershire because of the distance involved.
The car was described as immaculate, apart from one slight dent, which would be fixed before delivery I was assured.
On the day of delivery it was teeming down with rain so I was unable to inspect the car adequately.
First thing I noticed, the car barely started off the transporter. I was assured it would be serviced and MOT’d.
The oil service warning ⚠️ indicator is on 547 miles. There is no paperwork for the service or MOT paperwork. Although a DVLA check shows the MOT has been done.
And there are no printed records of service history. And I was told it had full service history and will be serviced up-to-date.
Later that morning, I dried the car off and started inspecting it, listing three large dents and umpteen scratches and scrawks all around the car. 15 in all.
Inner body panels in wheel arches un clipped where repairs had been carried out and not fitted back.
Totally unhappy I have contacted by email and phone, nobody has got back to me. Luckily for once in my life, I got the car on finance with a low deposit. I have disowned the car under the long distance, selling regulations and sending it back to them.
I’ve had to pay another £350 for delivery back. Rather that than lose £10,000.
The finance company have been informed. I’m still waiting to hear back from the dealers. They haven’t had the courtesy to get in touch. It was the car I wanted the specification I wanted at forecourt price, this should’ve been in a car auction rather than retailed from an outlet.
A great purchasing experience that’s gone drastically wrong. Not recommended one iota. The only person out of pocket is me. I will never buy a car unseen with the word of the sales team as immaculate again!! Let alone from John Clark
I have been informed that the sales manager, David Wilson has left how convenient the day I return the car!!!! I just hope this review gets read by a few people and it will save them going through the same experience I’ve had, I will end up taking John Clark through the small claims court for being sold the car under the sale of goods act. For the reimbursement of funds, I’ve lost.

Cowboys. Worst dealership I've ever dealt with. Nice until the finance is in place then not intrested. Full of empty promises had the car 4 weeks and now have to pay £650 as they won't entertain my issues even when told they would do so. Please be carefull when choosing a car here they are bandits

The salesman I dealt with (Malcolm) Perth branch, was first class. Very efficient and professional throughout, ensuring that all queries regarding my new car were met.

Lisa handled the part exchange of my car with professionalism & absolute integrity. Her friendly, trustworthy demeanour persuaded me to buy from you & I have no hesitation in recommending her if you are looking for truthful representation of what is on offer. As a Woman myself I appreciate dealing with another Woman, especially in an industry dominated by Men. I would respectfully request more care & attention in regard to the after-sale financial settlement system as in this day & age a bank transfer should be manageable same-day or next working day. This was not within Lisa’s control but was a great annoyance to me.

Followed up an email enquiry with a visit to the showroom. Salesman Lisa started off very nice but soon lost interest in helping with my enquiry and her unprofessionalism put me off buying from this garage.

Really friendly and helpful initially but do not give them a reservation deposit. We where told it would take upto 5 days, it took us 23 days to get it back. No reply to emails, made several calls and had given bank card details three times in total. I won't be going back if that's the kind of service you get.

Bought a car with no service history despite being advised it had a full service history and was last serviced in August. Asked to return the car less than 24 hours later when I found this out as wouldn’t have bought it if I’d been advised correctly on this and was told my cooling off period only applied to the finance and I would be expected to pay for the full amount of the car if I attempted to initiate this process. Avoid at all costs. Now having to go to the FCA to try and find a resolution on the basis of miss-selling.

Further update, still waiting on them refunding my deposit (now 6/7 weeks) I have phoned this branch 6 times, each time the salesperson that answers insists that it will be refunded but it never happens. Next step will be to take it up with head office if anybody will reply. I have also used their complaints form but it would seem their complaints process is a complete sham as they never acknowledge let alone reply. Hard to believe this company would behave like this. Disgraceful.

Never have we experienced such bad service when purchasing a car. From start to finish it’s been nothing but complete frustration and diabolical customer service. Finally spoke to somebody called Daryl, who was helpful, apologetic & sorted out the problem. However, I would still give this place a wide berth!

Dealt with the dark haired lady in Perth. She was a joy, talked us through the process and we had a good chat with her. She didn’t put on the “sales patter” she was very up front and straight with us. Unfortunately we didn’t actually find a car that was for us but I will visit this branch again in a few weeks and hopefully deal with the same person. We are just at the start of looking for a car and I thought the way this lady handled us was very honest and professional. Even after we had confessed we wouldn’t be buying a car today she didn’t take this personally but she still chatted with us.

After picking the car we liked online we visited Perth branch and spoke to the sales woman but unfortunately she was not very helpful and quite rude. Her supervisor tried to sort things out but we had been put off and went to a different garage instead.

We went in not sure what car we wanted. The female sales advisor Lisa took her time to show us a few cars and she let us drive them all. We ended up buying a car that we hadn’t intended to buy but she seemed to know a lot about it and how well it would fit us as a family.
When we sat to deal we explained we couldn’t afford all of the extra products that she told us about. We narrowed it down to 2 and as a good will gesture she gave us one of them free.
What a lovely young woman she was and really took her time to explain things. Her manager however left a lot to be desired. He was running about barking orders and shouting at staff. Do better John Clark, your staff deserve better than this little control freak.

Been in need of a bigger car for a few months but was just sick to death of dealing with cowboy salesmen who knew nothing about the cars they were selling.

John Clark, however, were second to none. We dealt with Lisa who was an outstanding saleswoman, had depths of knowledge and was answering questions that we hadn't even asked. A lot of salesmen/women are incredibly pushy, but we never got any of this from Lisa. She gave us all of the information required and we made an informed decision. Alongside the phenomenal service from Lisa, the car was also in fantastic condition, very well prepped and if it wasn't for the fact I knew it was second hand I would of sworn it was brand new.

I got in contact with Lisa regarding the smax they had for sale. Even though I did not purchase the car as it just wasn’t the one I was looking for, Lisa was so kind and helpful while dealing with myself, went above and beyond with answering all questions I had regarding the car.
