Range Rover Evoque
I seen a Range Rover Evoque on autotrader that my wife wanted rang the garage on the Wednesday and drove the car away on the Sunday morning .
Lynn is over the moon with the car .

We had a very positive and relaxed time…
We had a very positive and relaxed time with David Faickney , the sales executive looking after us. We had just popped in to see what was on offer , as I had fully intended to keep the car I had. With David We felt very relaxed and under no pressure , and made it clear from the outset our expectations. David presented us with options and we decided to have a test drive in a discovery sport. On our return David explained all our options , and from there we made our decision to exchange our current vehicle. We cannot commend David highly enough , as he made our experience a relaxed and well informed one.

The whole experience was first class
The whole experience was first class. Staff were all busy but easily approachable and helpful in every regard. There was no pressure for a sale and as a customer I was left to consider options with no time pressure. A test drive was arranged to suit me and I took the car out alone on JLR insurance for as long as I needed. After that drive the decision was made! Thanks to all but especially to David F for excellent professional service in every regard.

Work that is supposedly carried out is…
Work that is supposedly carried out is either not done or not checked as completed. Four months after purchase I found out that the tyre inflation fluid was four years out of date, Pentland tried to charge £47 for changing it!!! The car went in for a boot that would not close and brakes that were binding, they found the brakes to be defective, handed the car back without informing me of a problem and allowed me to drive it for another two weeks until it went in for repair. This time upon commencement of the work the brakes were found to be so bad it was deemed too dangerous to allow me to drive the car away that day. I have had to fight for work to be done under The Sale of Goods Act because Pentland’s argument is that “it’s not covered under warranty”. I have owned the car less than six months and I was given a bill in excess of £1000 three days ago.
If you are considering purchasing a car from Pentland please do not take my word for it just how incompetent they are, read all the other reviews too, we can’t all be wrong.

Bought car last August and have delayed…
Bought car last August and have delayed writing a review as it would have been very negative. Instead, we wanted to allow time for issues to be resolved as we understand sometimes things do go wrong. However, I’ve lost count of how many calls I’ve made, emails and even after eventually the car being taken into garage for 5 days ( even that wasn’t without its hiccups ) the issues were not fully resolved as promised. Since the return of the car I have made several calls to dealership to discuss unfinished work despite receiving a ‘ tick sheet ‘ saying work was complete. Each call I’m told very politely that the person I need is in meeting but will call back - no call. Then speak to a salesperson who says he’s going to deal with it promptly - still no call back. Maybe this is a used car , maybe this was by no means anywhere near the same cost as the shiny brand new ones they have - to us it’s a significant purchase which should have given us joy and excitement, but instead has been a huge disappointment with the worst customer service, after sales and communication ever experienced in over 50 years of buying vehicles.
