I've been in the market for a Yamaha U3H for several months now and though I don't live in the UK, I have found Mark's website (and also his personal feedback) to be an incredible source of expertise when it comes to buying a Yamaha piano. His deep knowledge has enabled me to immediately size up suitable pianos and to shut out the rest of the noise. Bravo!

Exceptional service from Mark Goodwin pianos from start to finish. I chose my Yamaha U3 from the Royton showroom and appreciated the number of quality pianos there to choose from. Mark and Julie are fabulous and a joy to deal with. My 1973 U1 was one of their refurbished ebay auctions so I was slightly apprehensive before it arrived. I needn’t have been. It is difficult to believe it is over 50 years old. It is in perfect factory fresh, never mind showroom, condition, absolutely immaculate inside and out, and gorgeous to play.

Great service and communication from start to finish. Really impressed by the range of pianos at an affordable price. Now it's at home we couldn't be happier, we love the sound, and it looks brand new even though it's decades old.

I bought my U1 from MGP a little over 6 months ago now. I bought it sight unseen due to living far from both showrooms, but was reassured by videos and the incredibly helpful and responsive service from Julie and the team. My piano was delayed slightly in reaching me while the team re-lacquered some parts to ensure it was in fabulous condition prior to delivery.
Delivery was quick and professional, even with difficult access up a small lane.
Free tuning and stool was a bonus, and the tuner commented on the excellent quality of the piano.
Thanks to all for the great service and product- I hope not to be piano shopping for the foreseeable future, but would buy from Mark Goodwin again without hesitation.

Great selection of pianos and lovely owners. You can ask them anything and they will answer. They even sent round the removals team to check/quote if a U3 could be taken upstairs but they profesionally advised that it would be a challenge and suggested going for a U1 size. We saw a nice YUS online and I'm sure it would have been fine to just order online but being quite a big investment, we felt we should make the trip down to the London showrooom (inside big yellow storage) to play and compare the pianos side by side. We then ordered the YUS and it was delivered by 3 strong men to our 1st floor lounge. It's definitely worth it from grade 3/4 onwards.

We were looking for a refurbished Yamaha upright piano and they had a really good choice at their showroom in Oldham. Julie was really friendly and helpful and we were able to afford a beautiful U3 thanks to the 0% finance offer. It was delivered within a week and our old piano was taken away in part exchange. The whole experience from start to finish was so stress-free and smooth; you can tell they really care about their customers as well as their pianos! Can't recommend highly enough.

Mark and the team are fantastic. Like many people, I suspect, I was in the market for a good reconditioned Yamaha -- looking on Mark's site, listening to different pianos, and thinking about making the next step. I'm a late-starter beginner, and I really wanted an acoustic after getting my grade 1, so I finally make the plunge, spoke to Mark, Julie and the team, and popped up to London to try out some U1s and U3s. After trying out quite a few with help from Dexter -- also super helpful -- I ended up buying a slightly older than I expected 1984 U3 that I simply loved the sound and touch of -- and I've been thrilled with it from the moment it arrived. I simply love playing it, and it remains one of the best purchases I've made in a long time -- not a moment's regret, and I'd recommend Mark and the team to anyone considering buying a Yamaha. Genuinely a fantastic service.
