Arrived on time and were very efficient in removing my piano. Good communication throughout. Would definitely recommend!
Excellent service and knowledgeable staff
Mark, Julie and Louis booked to come and collect an upright piano. Far too heavy for me to deal with.
WhatsApp’d Mark and he promised to come a few days later- date and time confirmed.
True to their word they let me know 30 mins before arriving and actually arrived on time. (Not something many people manage).
From the outset they were very professional and explained how they were going to remove the piano.
Everything went as promised. Very careful not to damage door surrounds etc and in no time it was done in spite of a tricky doorway to be dealt with. Not often you have great service with no collateral damage.
I cannot praise the team enough and would have no hesitation in recommending them for any piano removal/ relocation.
Thanks Mark.
The service from Mark and his team
The service from Mark, Julie and all his team has been fantastic from start to finish. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable across all areas, with kindness that shines through their service. Thank you all.
Delightful!
I bought an electric Yamaha piano from Mark and Julie, and they were so kind and communicative from start to finish. Everything about the transaction and picking up the piano was easy, smooth and reassuring. They went above and beyond to include a stool with the piano, which they would usually only do with acoustic instruments. I’m honestly so delighted to have a piano back in my life after years without one. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mark Goodwin Pianos if you are looking for an instrument.
Excellent customer service
I hardly ever write reviews, but my contact with Mark and his colleagues was such a positive experience that they deserve one! I was looking for a spare part for a 50 year old piano - a cast iron pedal - if anybody could even find one for me I thought it would cost the earth. Mark couldn’t order one for me so I naturally approached other companies - however when I was almost on the verge of giving up hope altogether I received an e-mail with some pictures of a pedal they had found in their stores. It was the right one! They could easily have taken advantage of the situation, knowing the difficulty in sourcing a new pedal, but chose to send it to me free of charge. Quite an amazing experience in today’s world - the sort of example used in text books on providing Excellent Customer Service. Well done Mark & Co and thank you for not only providing me with the pedal but also for restoring my faith in humanity!
These guys know Yamaha pianos
I've been in the market for a Yamaha U3H for several months now and though I don't live in the UK, I have found Mark's website (and also his personal feedback) to be an incredible source of expertise when it comes to buying a Yamaha piano. His deep knowledge has enabled me to immediately size up suitable pianos and to shut out the rest of the noise. Bravo!
Exceptional service from Mark Goodwin…
Exceptional service from Mark Goodwin pianos from start to finish. I chose my Yamaha U3 from the Royton showroom and appreciated the number of quality pianos there to choose from. My U3 looks brand new and sounds lovely. Delivery was fast and professional. Thanks again Mark and Julie, I highly recommend Mark Goodwin Pianos to anyone looking for a good second hand piano.
Mark and Julie are a joy to deal with.
Mark and Julie are fabulous and a joy to deal with. My 1973 U1 was one of their refurbished ebay auctions so I was slightly apprehensive before it arrived. I needn’t have been. It is difficult to believe it is over 50 years old. It is in perfect factory fresh, never mind showroom, condition, absolutely immaculate inside and out, and gorgeous to play.
Couldn't be happier
Great service and communication from start to finish. Really impressed by the range of pianos at an affordable price. Now it's at home we couldn't be happier, we love the sound, and it looks brand new even though it's decades old.

I bought my U1 from MGP a little over 6 months ago now. I bought it sight unseen due to living far from both showrooms, but was reassured by videos and the incredibly helpful and responsive service from Julie and the team. My piano was delayed slightly in reaching me while the team re-lacquered some parts to ensure it was in fabulous condition prior to delivery.
Delivery was quick and professional, even with difficult access up a small lane.
Free tuning and stool was a bonus, and the tuner commented on the excellent quality of the piano.
Thanks to all for the great service and product- I hope not to be piano shopping for the foreseeable future, but would buy from Mark Goodwin again without hesitation.

Yamaha 1985 U1piano
I absolutely love my Yamaha 1985 U1from Mark Goodwin Pianos. It was so exciting to visit the showroom and play on all the beautiful Yamaha pianos and choose one which was delivered within the week. My piano teacher recommended that I visit the showroom and I’m so glad he did. The service was excellent and I highly recommend Mark Goodwin Pianos
Great selection of pianos and lovely…
Great selection of pianos and lovely owners. You can ask them anything and they will answer. They even sent round the removals team to check/quote if a U3 could be taken upstairs but they profesionally advised that it would be a challenge and suggested going for a U1 size. We saw a nice YUS online and I'm sure it would have been fine to just order online but being quite a big investment, we felt we should make the trip down to the London showrooom (inside big yellow storage) to play and compare the pianos side by side. We then ordered the YUS and it was delivered by 3 strong men to our 1st floor lounge. It's definitely worth it from grade 3/4 onwards.
Wonderful experience with Mark…
I had a wonderful experience with Mark Goodwin Pianos! Both Mark and Julie were incredibly patient and took the time to answer all of my questions, making sure I felt comfortable with my purchase. Their expertise and genuine care for their customers really stood out. The lifetime warranty they offer also gave me great peace of mind, which is something you don’t find often. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to buy a second-hand piano! Fantastic service and quality.
Buying & Selling Experience
Recently purchased our second U1from Mark after selling the previous one back to Mark due to a house move. Both pianos were excellent, as was the selling and buying experiences. Delivery guys were great too. Many thanks.
