Horrible experience with Gloucester …
Leis and lies to sum it up. Even their reply here! Don't get fooled. Horrible experience with Gloucester office, giving very bad name to the agency, they said before signing the contract that ours going to be periodic when the fixed term finishes which is also stated in the contract, now they are saying they don't do that and they wouldn't have said so and we need to pay renew fees and get an increase in rent. Basically a trick in the book to get more money their offer letter doesn't even have the new rent figure on it, nor the matter was even discussed with the landlord. They send emails and emails for extra fees here and there. No service what so ever, even after the inspection, just a tick in a box report is sent after we requested it.. as an example for their service, the carpet was a mess when we moved in, no cleaning was done before we moved in, nevertheless, the previous tenant most probably got charged for that and got deposit deducted since its in the terms and conditions of the deposit deduction, how can they miss on that! They always make excuses whenever we ask for anything within our legal rights and say they contact the landlord and wait to hear back from him and never reply to us afterwards unless we chase them with a serious tone.
More importantly, they never ever let us get the landlord's address even through it is our right by the low!
avoid with all costs, we have been talking to a legal advisor and we have been intouch with the property ombudsmen. Guess what now, after the pressure they want to evict us!!! Saying that the landlord does not want to renew. Shame in them and shame on such landlord who agree to their dirty business
