I ordered 2 bags of MOT and 2 of sand and they arrived perfectly packaged, within the timeframe stated on the website, competitively priced and without any issues.
Except I misjudged the amount needed, so ordered another bag of each and again, throughout the process from website to delivery, all went without a hitch and arrived without any issues.
Jewsons delivery also cannot be faulted, with full consideration given to cars parked nearby, my contrary driveway and awkward fencing.
I would use again, wish I had in the past and would recommend thoroughly to fam n friends.

I'm usually not one to write reviews but feel that if just one person reads this and decides not to use this company it will have been worth it. I ordered 75 breeze blocks 3 weeks ago, admittedly not the biggest order in history, but that shouldn't matter. The invoice said that due to various COVID/Brexit issues the order could take up to 2 weeks to be delivered. There was no mention of this delay on the website before ordering, if there was I'd probably have gone elsewhere but I carried on and clicked to purchase. I had no communication from the company and after 2 weeks emailed to ask for an update. No answer so I tried ringing, no answer so I left a voicemail. Further emails were sent until I eventually got a reply saying ,,,sorry we missed your previous email, we'll ring the courier for an update and let you know. No update has been given despite further emails from me. I've had to go and buy the bricks elsewhere now as I had hired the bricklayer. I've asked for a refund but this company just don't respond. Steer clear everyone and just don't take a chance. Edit; Isn't it strange how a refund appears quickly after a negative review is posted. No explanation or apology given by online building supplies.

Excellent that's all I can say, delivery was in 7 days by Jewsons, I picked the worse day as it was snowing, but the delivery driver was great, and all items purchased (blocks bricks,sand,cement and bulk ballast) present and correct.

I tried this company for the first time on the basis of price. I needed a firm date for delivery as I needed to be present for the delivery to gain access. Communication could have been better but the date given two days before delivery was honoured and the supplier, Jewsons, were excellent considering the difficulty in off loading from a steep slope and a long reach. Five stars if Ian had been proactive in comms.

Reading reviews on this site regarding OBS it appears clear that replies from Ian are mostly directed to those who leave good reviews at the expense of those who have suffered poor service and appalling lack of communication.
I have purchase on two occasions, on both the goods arrived within the time frame promised. However the second delivery had one pallet of broken slabs where it had clearly been dropped.
I took photos of the damage and sent them to Ian asking for a refund only for the damaged slabs but heard nothing. I left 5 messages on his phone over several weeks all to no avail and also resent the photos. I am still awaiting some resolution.
Ian when you read this review and I know you will, do the decent thing and refund my money.

I have ordered some floor boards on the 9th September. I was told that they would be delivered within 1 to 2 weeks. I have sent two emails and I have left 1 voicemail asking for them to contact me. And I haven’t heard anything. We need them by the weekend as our builder can’t proceed without them and I can not contact anyone as no one answers the phone or replies to emails……. Ian did get hold of me and arranged for delivery on Thursday 25th. Hopefully it will all run smoothly.

I have placed an order for chipboard and advised that it may take up to 1-2 weeks to arrive. The 2 weeks is up tomorrow and I have not been contacted regarding a delivery date. I have emailed twice, both of which have been ignored. I have phoned and was informed that I would be called back..... I haven't received the promised phone call nor the products. Needless to say payment was taken in full at the time of the order.

Ordered four pallets of concrete blocks, one bulk sand and five bags cement. Rang them just before ordering delivery was two days. Can't beat their prices, and service was brilliant. Delivery to South Wales.

Ordered 2 ton of sand and five bags of cement said on website delays due to COVID which I can understand Oder was placed on 21st of April and still no delivery 18th of may and no response to any attempt to contact them no update on delivery time frames complete lack of communication starting to wonder if this website is a scam.

Very pleased with the service we received. The website is very clear that the delivery times were approx 1-2 weeks due to the current climate.
We placed our block paving order on the evening of the 22nd March and it arrived today,1st April.
I only had to contact the company once to confirm the delivery date and they rang me back straight away.
Extremely happy, would highly recommend them and they will be our first choice for our next project. Many thanks!

Ordered 14 lengths of chipboard flooring. The site does warn even before purchase that it is taking up to 2 weeks for delivery due to covid restrictions. My only gripe was that I got an initial delivery day covering 2 days but unfortunately nothing was delivered. I chased up and got sent another date and this time there were no problems at all. Appreciate I had a small order in comparison and appreciate they use local suppliers so possible that the delay was not their fault. All above was okay as I was not in any hurry and since I am working from home was not put out by the delivery change.

Overall product as expected and cheaper that I could source locally and plus I was struggling to get the flooring delivered at all elsewhere

I’ve placed an order for gravel for my driveway on Saturday 13th March. Since then, today is Monday 22nd March, I have left 2 voicemails, 3 emails and one WhatsApp message - no response! I’m now at the point that I’m feeling like I’ve been scammed!!!!

I have read a lot of reviews, some good and some bad. I can only go on my experience which has been brilliant. Items I ordered came on time, friendly delivery staff and superb customer service that replied to my emails and answered my queries . I will use them again and I am very pleased.

Ordered 3ton of grey shingle, and received 3ton of gold/brown shingle. When my husband phoned the company he was told that the colour varies. Why would a company advertise particular colours if they cannot supply them. Also travis Perkins told us that they don’t do grey just bog standard pea shingle. I am extremely upset that my vision for my landscaping has been ruined by their lack of complying with trading standards. I would not recommend using this company for any building materials as you cannot guarantee you will get what you want and the after sales was nonexistent

I have sent a number of emails requesting a return of some items that I over ordered. The first reply stated it wouldn’t be a problem but no mention of when the items due to be returned would be collected. A week later and still no response on when this will be collected.

I placed an order with them and never received it, after a few emails saying it was coming but would never showed up. update I received a refund.

Placed an order on Aug 11th and appreciated that there could be delays due to the current pandemic situation.
So I was pleasantly surprised to have an email on Aug 19th saying delivery would be made on Monday Aug 24th between 7am and 5pm.

So I cancelled my clients for the day to wait in for delivery. By 4:30 it had not arrived so I emailed to see where it was. At 7:30pm I emailed again to ask what was going on and if delivery had been delayed then I could not take it on the Tuesday or Wednesday but please let me know.

By midday Tuesday still no response so I used the contact form on the company website to ask again.
By close of day still nothing!

The order eventually turned up on Aug 26th - one of the days I said no to. Luckily it arrived just as I was leaving to see clients!

And to crown it all, the delivery company was my local Jewson builders merchants!!

So, prices may be keen with free delivery BUT the company is useless in keeping to its own delivery dates!
It's worse than useless at communicating with its customers, neither informing them nor responding to queries.
Unless I'm desperate I doubt I'll be buying here again!

The worst building suppliers I’ve ever used. To say this company is a joke is an understatement. Where to start...I ordered my required materials, delivery turned up the week after promised. Only 1/2 of my order was on the delivery meaning I was unable to complete the job that day. When I called to ask about the materials, they didn’t have a clue. I also told them if it wasn’t coming can they just tell me so I can start another job. The only thing I was repeatedly told on the phone was that he’d find out and call me back...never called back. I didn’t start a new job for the next 2 days Incase the delivery arrived. Materials arrived the week after...materials were wrong! Myself and client was now fuming at this point. Not only could this job not be completed but we was none the wiser to when the remaining delivery would arrive. After another 20 odd phone calls it turns out they never had my required items in stock so had just sent out something else. I ended up cancelling the remaining items and ordering from somewhere else.
Bottom line - they take your money regardless if the items are available or not. They Don’t get back to you at any stage. They don’t deliver on time or with the correct items. I lost 2 days money waiting around for a possible delivery.
Ended up with an upset client that I couldn’t correctly inform of the situation as this company would never call me back with an update.
... Every time I called I spoke to IAN so anyone placing future orders just be aware that he’s useless and doesn’t have a clue. Don’t expect a straight answer/explanation or a returning phone call
