Fantastic quick service. Great delivery and product of a high quality

Well I ordered and was told that due to COVID my order would be delayed and I could expect it within 1 Or 2 weeks. After a month And calls to chase I eventually got some of what I ordered. (Delivered a day after the day promised after waiting in all day) and after I had to phone to chase again. Received a refund for some of what I ordered and that wasn’t received (plaster) but other items where also not delivered despite being told they would be. Two emails chasing a refund and no response. Not good enough hence the poor review ! I gave you a chance and will be on to my credit card company in the morning !!

I’m writing this review to say thank you for all your efforts in trying to get items during this present climate also the good communication via emails unfortunately I cancelled my order as I managed to get my items local but I received my refund the next day after I cancelled with no hassle at all I will definitely use your services in the future 👍👍 once again thank you

Was a bit put off by some of the reviews. but cannot fault this company they were the cheapest I could find online 3 one tonne bags of gravel £146 free delivery came within 3-weeks considering lockdown

I posted a review for Online Building Supplies , in error . I apologise for my mistake . The company who failed miserably was Building Supplies Online ?
Suggest one or the other changes their name ? Only joking , Building supplies online failed me , suggest they change their name to Builders Non Supply Online !!

Placed an order on the 2nd Feb. A few days later the job I had ordered the items for got cancelled so I no longer needed them. I emailed online building supplies to see if I could cancel the order and get a refund, no response. Tried calling their office multiple times, no answer. Then on the 19th feb I get an email saying my order has been dispatched. I emailed right back saying I didn’t need the order anymore and wanted to cancel. I get a response of ‘sorry for any confusion this email was sent in error.’ Nothing regarding me wanting to cancel and get a refund. Since then I’ve heard nothing back and I’m now out of pocket £240. Absolute joke of a company with non existent customer service.

I have just had my delivery of 3 packs of block pavers. I cannot be happier with the service, communication and professionalism of the company. I was a promised a 2 day delivery slot and the bricks turned up promptly as described. I will definitely be using Online-building-supplies again. Thanks you Ian. Paul Taylor.

I've recently purchase a jumbo bag of shingles.
Wrong size has been delivered. The delivery note has a different product listed than my order bill.
I've contacted the seller numerous times but they don't seem to be interested in.
I've spent £100 for the order which I had to repeat with another supplier (another £100). Now I have to pay £100 for a skip to remove redundant shingles from site as the client wants their space back and we have no use for them.
Summarize the bag of shingles that originally was around £50 has costed us £300.
I will never use this company again, it is a shame for honest merchants.

Good communication from the company and delivered quickly. Delivered by Jewsons (driver was a miserable ...) and 9 blocks broken, but Jewson dropping out some replacements. No probs with online building suppliers though. thanks

After reading mixed reviews about OBS, I thought I would give them a try. I placed my order on Tuesday and was surprised by a call today (Thursday) confirming delivery by a national supplier. It was scheduled for tomorrow, but they requested could I accept it today?
So, even though I hadn't heard from OBS, it was just over 48 hours between order and delivery! The blocks were delivered on site and positioned exactly where I asked.

Recently purchased a large amount of paving slabs but the Paypal delivery address was incorrect. Despite this, Ian answered the phone at 19.30pm on a Friday, refunded payment and allowed me to rectify the mistake. Delivery address amended and delivery still made on time. Would recommend and will be using again.

I emailed to clarify weight of concrete blocks that had "aerated" in title, but rated at 7N.
No answer.
Next day, I emailed again.
No answer.

Website says:

I have no confidence this is a real business,so will avoid.

I'm still awaiting a delivery date seventeen days after ordering and paying. My regular telephone enqiries have been met by a recorded promise to call back but no call back has been made. My email enquiries have been ignored. My request for a refund has also been ignored so I am now making a claim via my credit card supplier.
Can't decide whether this is a fraudulent operation, very inefficient or going under. Whichever it is I would caution others to have no dealings with Amanda and Ian Sharpe, who apparently trade from a room in the Advantage Business Centre, 132 Great Ancoats Street, Manchester M4 6DE tel. 0161 871 7410.

Had a problem with product not as required which was delivered by 3rd party, phoned Ian at 8am he called me back within half an hour and as actual product I had ordered was not available locally, he arranged for a better alternative to be delivered to site which arrived by midday. What could have been a major problem to completion of my job impacting on other jobs this week was solved without any hesitation and as cost to himself. The level or service we all hope for but seldom see. Happy to recommend to all my colleagues. Brilliant service.

They were good but not as my requirements. Need a bit of improvement. Specially in Safety Department.

Slightly frustrating as not much in the way of useful communication once order placed, however when I did get through on the phone they were very helpful.

NO REPLY, NO DELIVERY, NO COMMUNICATION - DONT BUY

I bought concrete blocks from them on 10th May. It is no 24th May and I have had no communication at all about where my order is,

I called them and the guy on the phone said he will check and revert back to me. Till date I have not had a reply back from them.

I have since emailed a number of times and called them but they do not answer.

They are not a trustworthy company so please don't buy from them.

Outstanding value and customer service very good. Would recommend
