We’ve had a fantastic experience having a new front door and bifold fitted by Planet South Lakes. The team from initial call, visit and measurements were fantastic, to visiting the shop and picking colours, glass and hardware, it was such an easy and laid back experience. The team were so friendly and professional right through, and we were so impressed with the fitting as well. We now have two fantastic and secure doors which have made our house feel finished. Thank you Planet South Lakes for all of your help and making our beautiful pink door and our finally not wobbly bifold!

Having contacted Planet south Lakes after seeing an advert on Facebook I have been very impressed with their service. The sales team weren't "pushy" at all, giving sound and sensible advice. The guy who did the measuring up was friendly and efficient and the installation was hassle free and done well. I am thrilled with the finished door.

Visited by a salesman who was not in the least bit pushy in fact I ended up adding extra windows as the sale price seemed very reasonable and the quote included VAT which is helpful. A further visit for measuring and then once the windows ready they were fitted quickly and efficiently despite some quite awkward to get to places. We have used Planet in the past and look forward to using them again in the future.

On 22 April 2025 a senior design consultant with PSL visited our home for a free design and cost consultaion on a new conservatory addition.
J. B. was extremely knowledgeable and gave us expert advice. Communication via post, email, text, and WhatsApp was greatly appreciated. Although we eventually chose to go with a local company, the time spent (2h +) discussing design plans, finance, and time lines was invaluable.

Excellent customer service and workmanship. From first enquiry to job completion everything was perfect - appointment time keeping and high quality product. The fitter was friendly and polite, respectful of our property and left everywhere clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.

I lived next to a planet windows south lakes installation in 2023 that lasted a long time. Health & Safety was non existent (HSE turned up on site), so was planning permission which they scraped through as retrospective (despite director at the time knowing they’d need it as they owned a property on our road that had to have it). Zero thought for neighbouring properties. Pilled with no notice for us despite our property adjoining the one they were wrecking. They had to fix damage to party wall they initially denied, approx 6 months after leaving them unstable. Cut and Redirected sewage waste pipe without prior agreement from united utilities now we have sewage in our garden every few months owing to circumference, angle and quality of new pipes (according to UU). United utilities admit they’ve inherited a problem created by this build. Never seen anything like it. Still liaising with UU today!
Richard the Director sold out around the time of the extension. I put in a formal complaint - a lot of Kendal folk are well aware of how this firm operate and won’t touch them!

I documented this entire build in order to protected mine, following advice from my home insurer, so it is facts. I can back up everything I’ve said which includes emails threads with United Utilities, HSE, and many photos and videos.

This works has left us with problems. FACT.

From booking to get a quote, survey and installation done it has been an easy and quick process. All staff that I've dealt with have been friendly and very helpful. The windows are really nice quality and look good as well.
The cost was high but out of 4 quotes South Panet Lakes was the second lowest quote we used this company as a neighbour has them also, we choose Sash windows and colour to match our old windows and a front door to match we had 11 windows so we knew what to expect with price. Our aim was to look the same as before and this was achieved.
The whole process took about 3 months with no real issues, we had the panel on the front door supplied the wrong colour but South Panet Lakes sorted this out very quickly and we changed the panel style at the same time. Which was our fault at no extra cost as the panel was being changed anyway.
The final payment was only requested after fully completed.
My error I would not have the bottom hooks on the bottom window fitted as we choose gold fittings. We did not need them as our windows are low.

Planet - South Lakeland

Austin completed the installation of a large window in my home in early December, a complex and physically demanding job that involved removing the old, heavy window and expertly fitting the new one. His ability to manage the weight and the task were truly impressive.
After completing the installation, Austin cleaned, tidied, leaving no trace that such a major job had taken place.

Doug came on a separate visit and was very helpful and friendly and did a professional job installing a large barge board in difficult conditions and neatly cemented in place and around the window. I really appreciated that he was very tidy and considerate in the way that he worked. Both gentlemen did outstanding work and deserve recognition and respect. I would not hesitate to recommend either of them for future projects and would ask Planet - South Lakeland to please pass on my thanks.

A lovely company to deal with. No sales pressure just patiently asnswered my (many) questions. The instalation team worked quickly and completed the roof in the time stated and they polished all my glass!

Id needed a new back door and Planet were very efficient in surveying, delivering and fitting the door. The fitter did a good job, repaired the inevitable damage to the external render and made a good job of tidying up.

The young gent who fitted the new window was very courteous and careful. I will always recommend Planet to anyone who may ask. Materials are top notch too.

Appalling service. Have been waiting over 15 months now for them to come out and fix a leaking roof. This is dripping into a light socket making it a fire risk. I have had excuse after excuse until they eventually resort to completely ignoring any attempts at communication. Have had an independent builder out to look at the roof and been advised that due to their poor workmanship i.e. putting a pipe through the roof - no one else will want to touch it. Avoid this company at all costs.

We were very pleased with the service we received from Planet and very happy with our new door and fascia boards. A special mention to Richard for all your hard work, thank you.

Had flush double glazed windows fitted. After a week noticed that we were getting flies into the window frame. planet sent out a window fitter to review and I was told they’re getting in because the windows aren’t water tight (they have brush seal). He would report back to HQ.

That was 3 weeks ago.

Still no word. Still flies - but only on one window - the window is obviously not water tight and the fitter said as much!

£thousands to have a window that allows flies in. Zero update or word about them being fixed.

I await a response.

Great service from start to finish. Good value for money and good product. Very happy with our French doors and new kitchen doors.

Neil Balderstone, salesperson, professional and instilled trust, Kevin the installer, very efficient and methodical, clean and tidy. Electricians and plasterers and project manager very reliable. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company, we are very pleased with our new conservatory.

The entire process was great ftom start to finish. I have a 5 part bay window which is still perfect after 5 months (as you'd expect). All debris was taken away and the fitters were skillful, efficient and friendly.

Called the showroom for some advice, they was very helpful and very and knowledgeable! would recommend!
