So much for a 10 year guarantee! I rang at the beginning of May 2024 to ask them to repair a hinge, (having already had the same hinge repaired 2 years before), called 3 times, still no call back and it's nearly August.
I am aware of another client having paid a large deposit last October 2023 and still no sign of any windows

This is the 5th time I have used them and all very good.
Today the young fitter did a superb job fitting some French doors and 2 windows, he was very polite, did a superb job, and it was raining and cold,so well done.
Very satisfied.

I opted for this company for my replacement windows because they were large and successful - but regretted my decision.

They insist on a deposit of 10% before someone will even come to your house to look at the work you need done. After taking my money, no-one contacted me to acknowledge the money received and no-one contacted me for a week and a half to say when they would come out to see the work that needed done.

When they did come, the guy seemed rushed and not in the mood to properly answer the questions I had (when you are paying several thousand pounds for windows, you have questions you'd like answered!). This was probably because - as he told us - he covered such a huge area of the country.

After this experience, I decided to cancel my order. The original employee on the phone (Andy) had told me that if I cancelled, I would get my deposit refunded. This wasn't true. Their actual policy is to keep 20% of the deposit.

All in all, I feel this company has become large and successful enough to stop caring and offering a 'human' service. They felt simply money-grabbing. To insist on money just to get someone to take a look seems unusual - and to then keep 20% of that money, unfair.

I have switched to a small, local company who is willing to put the time and care into their service throughout the whole process - and come to house to see the work that needs done for free! The feeling between the two companies is 100% different.

Terrible company. 3 years later and we still have a gaping hole in our bi-fold doors, but yet unwilling to admit they've been fitted incorrectly. No expanding foam used around the other doors and windows they fitted leaving the area damp, cold and eventually mouldy! Ended up having to solve the problems ourselves, however can sort the bi-fold doors issue so left with hefty utility bills as you can see outside when the door is closed. Don't waste your money!

Looking for windows and visited Planet South Lakes. Great company, quality product and the staff in the showroom were extremely helpful and friendly. No pushy sales here, just great knowledge and advice. Would highly recommend.

I recently requested a brochure from the Planet Windows website, and was very impressed with how professional both the website and the brochure I ended up downloading were. Also the navigation journey was so simple and I was able to be reading the information I was looking for in no time at all.

We recently had Planet create a large hole in our new kitchen area and glaze it with a new patio. Our house overlooks Derwent Water and it’s opened up beautiful views and let in loads of light. All the staff and trades we first class and we’d definitely recommend Planet!

Andy has just been round to do a final sign off with us on our fantastic solid roof conservatory. I told him that we couldn’t be happier with everything from start to finish! We will definitely recommend planet to all our family and friends!

We called to the showroom for advice on a problem we had with a door on our holiday home.
Unfortunately they do not repair Timber doors, but the lady in the showroom Rachel I think couldn't have been more helpful, lots of advice, but didn't try to sell us anything, so when we need new windows or doors, we know we'll return for sure..... lovely showroom too.

Spent a few hours at the showroom in Kendal, what a great experience.
Warm welcome from Rachel, and both Andy and Rob were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, genuinely felt the team there couldnt do enough to help.
I wouldnt hesitate to use them.

Paid over £10,000 for door and windows, the door faded in sunlight and they are disputing their guarantee, seems a small claims court writ is required?

Requested a quotation a man turned up stood outside in line with covid rules. Asked what I wanted, I said did he have a brochure- apparently no he didn't have a brochure, I tried to find their brochure on my phone. He said no you won't find it in there go & Google this ! He gave me a name of another company! Verbally said a price without seeing the type of door I wanted & said he would send me a quote. Guess what nothing at all - no surprise. I waited over 2 weeks for this appalling service. Unprofessional & total uninterest. Your loss Planet found a company Plas-Tec that know how to operate
