Great product and exceptional customer…

Great product and exceptional customer care.
We had a problem with a Parcelforce non-delivery, late delivery .... eventually, (once the the-Millshop-online stepped in). Angela supported us throughout this hassle and was exceptionally helpful within multiple contacts.
I have used this company many times and they never fail to deliver top quality product and service.

Disappointed

I was sent a sample that looked nothing like my order and was just a bit of colour surrounded by almost completely faded out barely visible pattern. I complained and was told it was correct even though I had sent a photo showing the sample which looks like my old sun faded garden chairs. I will shop elsewhere

Where to start just a terrible…

Where to start just a terrible experience with this outfit.
We spent almost £1,000 pounds on curtains and a blind - expecting a delivery in around 4 weeks.
We waited 8 or 9 weeks and when they came they were the wrong material and were made short of my measurements.
They never answer the phone or get back to you.
Really poor quality and even worse service.

Good quality but printed. Ensure you order samples first.

The Millshop have a great website and the samples I ordered arrived in good time. However it is not clear on their website that even the patterns that look woven are actually printed onto fabric.

I'm glad I ordered samples before placing my order because the printing gives a different texture, look and feel than I envisioned.

The colours were pretty close to the website but also very slightly different.

Takeaway = Good quality but printed. Ensure you order samples first.

Please avoid their curtain making service

Whilst the fabrics are nice (if a little flimsy), please avoid paying this company to make curtains. I needed two curtains so gave the track size for each and asked for a pair (each track is 65cm). I was contacted to confirm the size of my curtains were correct. I pointed out that they were to cover a washing machine and tumble dryer (not a window) and they made a pair of curtains for one window instead each measuring 42cm so completely unusable. (They should ask for the curtain width not the track size, as they then make the curtains as gathered as they choose, not as the customer would necessarily choose, in which case, their error may have also been avoided.) I received no apology, refund or admission of error. I never write negative reviews but I have wasted hundreds of pounds and don't want anyone else to have to go through this. Life is expensive enough. This was supposed to be a gift to myself, a finishing touch to my kitchen. I am most thoroughly disappointed with this company's attitude.

We are sorry to have received a 1 star review from you and that you are unhappy with the order that you placed for a pair of curtains and our customer service.

You placed the measurements into the website for 1 track width at 65cm. We ask for the total track width and have links on our website on guides on how to measure and how to order. We contacted you to confirm this measurement was correct and this was your total width which you confirmed that it was. You did state that you were not covering a window but kitchen appliances, you had also bought additional fabric in your order so as you confirmed the track width was 65cm we did not question your measurements any further.

We are no different to all curtain makers in that the total track width would be required and we would make a pair of curtains incorporating the correct amount of gather to cover this complete area, in your case track width 130cm should have been given to have created the correct size curtain.

Your demands that we had made the mistake and that we needed to provide you with the correct sized curtains by the end of the week were unreasonable as we had made no error and had made up the curtains in the specifications that you had requested. We offered that we could rectify the situation with a new pair of curtains in the correct size but there would be an additional cost for these larger curtains and as we had passed the cut off date for Christmas delivery the workroom would not have been able to make these up for Christmas delivery for you but would be ready in the New Year.

Once again we are sorry that you feel that the error was with us and that you declined our offer for the curtains to be re-made for you in the correct size.

I love this shop!! :-)

I love this shop and it’s my always first to go for any hobby sewing projects I’m doing. Fabrics are beautiful quality and delivered to my door very quickly. I have been using them for years now and I have never been disappointed!

Unreliable company with misleading customer service

Unfortunately package never arrived. Was told by customer service that it would be sent by courier, but it was sent instead by Royal Mail and didn’t arrive.

It is a shame to be misled by customer service into placing an order and evidences poor business practices. Shame as I wanted to like this company and would have used them more if they were reliable.

It was not our intention to mislead you in any way and we are sorry that you feel that we have intentionally given you incorrect information, we have recently changed our delivery service with some of our parcels from a courier to Royal Mail tracked service, when you spoke to Customer Service we were using a courier service. We are constantly looking at better and quicker options for delivery to our customers and are disappointed that Royal Mail has taken this extra time to deliver to you.

You have confirmed that your parcel has arrived with Royal Mail today.

easy to order and good instructions as to how to measure for made to measure curtains. Sample useful and curtains made within advised time scale.
Curtains well made with curtain hooks attached.
When I had a problem with the delivery company they responded quickly and sorted it all out.
