Very disappointed in Mercedes ,bought an approved car from the dealers had a sensor changed under warranty, just a few months out of warranty car won’t move ,after a lot of hassle Mercedes find water in front passenger footwell which is shorting out electrics .This has been caused by a broken weld ….car was only 4yrs old .Garage says they will look at a goodwill jester from MB ,I contact MB uk And Mb Maastricht who basically pass the blame around .Was shocked at one conversation which I would of said was like blackmail ,was told a goodwill gesture would be no more than 10% and to do this they would have to replace the full wiring harness which could take 6MONTHS FOR IT TO BE MADE AND FITTED And would cost a lot more
Garage eventually did the work which cost £600 Was told it should of cost £1000 s
A very unreliable car very disappointed this is not what I had expected from Mercedes . Really like the car but I don’t trust it

This company will over charging the customer with the Mercedes Charge. Although the customer haven’t used their services and gave them a email in canceling the services, they still charge the customer. Although making any complaint, they just ignore the customer.

Not the Service I would expect.

I took out the service plan my car and was told at the first service it needed a new part due to wear and tear. After getting home I checked the details I was sent and found the plan included wear and tear, so I contacted the Mercedes dealer to provide them with the relevant details from the paperwork I'd received. They told me that I had not been sold that plan, the one I had been sold did not include wear and tear and Mercedes had sent me out the wrong paperwork. I rang Mercedes to check and they said the Mercedes dealer had made an error with the application and cancelled the pack they had sold me. They then told me they could not replace it with the one I had the paperwork for as only the dealer could do this. So I rang the dealer back and they said, no they couldn't provide that pack. They blamed Mercedes customer service for providing me with the wrong paperwork but said that the paperwork I would receive if I took out a new plan would probably be the same as I received in the first place. So I am left with no service pack, a service bill and a repair bill with the Mercedes dealership blaming Customer Service and Vice Versa. I would add that the dealership was asked to contact me again by Mercedes Customer Service but I guess they're too busy.

clowns in suits

I’ve waited five months for a response and the complaint handler Ben Spellman couldn’t have cared less.
I got a lengthly email detailing their repeated errors, spoke to Ben and he said that he would refund me the amount unlawfully taken from my account but glazed over it as an act of “goodwill”. They are crooks. Inept, disinterested and wholly incapable of customer service.
Do yourself a favour and avoid these clowns.

I contacted Mercedes Benz UK customer services to get in sight to the service history of a 2 Year old A class that I'm looking to purchase from outside the MB network. My request was, has the vehicle been serviced within the MB network. This information was refused claiming data protection! My annoyance is why could they not answer a simple question as to if the vehicle gas been serviced, I did not ask about ownership details! The person I spoke with was very polite & courteous, I have no issue with them.

I purchased a 4 year old C300 from Mercedes Croydon 28000km
For £27k, I could have purchased the same model from a Normal car dealer on Auto trader and saved about £7k but I decided to go direct to Mercedes thinking I was buying piece of mind.
I asked for a new MOT to check the brakes before I purchase and the salesmen explained that it’s current MOT still has 8 months left and that if anything is wrong they will cover it all on my first MOT, on test driving the stop start wasn’t working and the rep said it’s because the car has been sitting and the battery will charge as I use it and again not to worry as it’s guaranteed on the first MOT, fast forward to 8 months and less than 1000km the Mercedes Bromley mot guys confirm that the reason the stop start isn’t working is the main battery needs replacing £450,00 and the brake discs and brake pads have come up as an advisory, Mercedes Croydon salesman denies everything and Mercedes say both battery and brakes are not covered despite only doing under 1000 miles, never ever again !!!

Mercedes approved used not worth it

Bought an approved used GLE. Radio doesn’t work, key doesn’t work and Air-Con not cold. Local dealership said would call then that they had called to book it in but that wasn’t true. Waited weeks to get it booked in then bounced me the night before as prioritised for their own customers. First time buying Mercedes and very disappointed.

I would like to advise against getting a mercedes

I would like to advise against selecting Mercedes Benz as your preferred automobile brand. They consistently fail to accept responsibility for manufacturing defects that pose a significant threat to human life, and their customer service is severely lacking. After initially feigning concern, they become dismissive and unresponsive.

The potential risk to public safety is substantial, and I intend to pursue this matter through appropriate channels, including the media. If you value exceptional customer service and reliable vehicles, I strongly recommend considering alternative options.

Mercedes Derby.
Have wasted many weeks attepting to buy several parts for my E350 front bumper. We worked through most parts small grill and lower light grill but when it came to buying a small plastic cover for the front bumper the problems began.
In the end I sent a picture of said plastic covers 2 in total with and explanation that it was the one on the left. Shock horror the parts Dept cant indentify what I need. Dreadful service and not the first time.

Mercedes HQ - take it or leave it!

Like the previous review. I have had 4 Mercedes. Worcester and Cheltenham are also my closest dealer. Taking away pricing flexibility and installing a fixed price, take it or leave it attitude has finished my love of the brand.
We buy cars on relationships. Not on how nice you are but how we can help each-other to reach a deal that delivers perceived benefits to both parties. Building trust to part with £80k relies upon quality of the dealer and it’s people.
Mercedes HQ have ruined that experience and trust. After 4 brand new cars over a period of ten years l have just purchased a Lexus. Not because I love the car ( although I absolutely do) because of the people at Lexus Cheltenham who made me feel special and are now committed to keeping me as a customer for future vehicles.
Suggest potential customers look elsewhere and let Mercedes know that buying a car is an emotional and very expensive purchase, it’s not a bag of sugar.

Unprofessional unsatisfactory service and ongoing car issue

This review is to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the service I received at Marshall Mercedes Benz dealer Portsmouth . I recently brought my car in for a service due to an auxiliary battery malfunction and the EML light being on. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing and has caused me significant stress and financial burden.

To begin with, I was charged £192 solely for the diagnosis of the issue, despite initially informing their team that I only wanted to change the auxiliary battery. I reluctantly paid this fee, only to be informed later that further diagnosis was required, which would incur an additional charge of £290 for further diagnosis regarding EML issue. In total, I ended up paying nearly £500 for diagnosis alone.

Furthermore, after the diagnosis, I was informed that there was a problem with a sensor, and I would need to pay an additional £1000 to have it replaced. Reluctantly, I agreed to the repair and collected my car after three days. However, much to my dismay, the very next day, the EML light reappeared. It is disheartening to realize that all the diagnostics and repairs for which I paid such a substantial amount were incorrect.

Upon contacting Marshall dealership, I was asked to bring my car back for further assessment and repair. I obliged and left my vehicle with them for seven days. During this time, I had to rely on expensive taxi services to commute and transport my child to and from nursery. I had hoped that this prolonged period of repair would result in a permanent resolution to the issue. However, when I collected my car, I discovered that it had only undergone a DPF cleaning, a process that typically takes a few hours. I fail to understand why my car was kept for an entire week for such a straightforward procedure.

Regrettably, my disappointment reached its peak when, just five minutes into driving my car home, the EML light appeared once again. This ongoing problem has caused me immense emotional conflict and distress. I find it unacceptable that after multiple attempts and considerable expenses, my car remains in an unsatisfactory condition.

All this misdiagnosis and inadequate repairs made me deeply saddened and i am sorry to say i never experienced such an unprofessional bad experience from any other establishment

Outstanding service from Kieran at Mercedes-Benz of Hamilton. I walked into the dealership on the Saturday and by the following Thursday I had my new car and my old car traded in. When I picked my new car up Kieran took the time to explain all the car’s new features that I may otherwise not have know existed.

Brilliant experience Kieran (and delighted with the car). Cheers mate.

Overpriced and poor service

Took a company vehicle to Motus Mercedes Norwich for urgent repair, had a price quoted and agreed. Two hours later the door still wouldn't lock, a new one had been fitted after drilling a hole in the door to remove it only to find that it wasn't the issue. A further two hours later spent investigating and 'chasing the electrics' to try and find the problem.
We needed the vehicle back but had to pay upfront before we were allowed to take it away (despite using them before) and labour charge of £560 (£140 an hour) plus the door lock and parts resulted in a bill of over £700+VAT with nothing having been fixed.
No communication when costs started to escalate, just a 'we said it might cost more if we find another problem' when it was queried. Reading reviews, it seems this is not uncommon across Mercedes. Overpriced and reluctant to reduce bills, even if the problem is not fixed. Will go elsewhere in future.

Avoid Mercedes Benz Croydon. Disgustingly Rude & Dismissive

Hi Mercedes Benz Croydon,

I would like to officially log a complaint regarding the poor level of service I received last week. My Mercedes V-Class suddenly stopped and decided to go into limp mode, therefore I had to call breakdown to recover my vehicle and take it to your Croydon branch. I booked an appointment with them to have the vehicle checked and diagnosed if possible. The following day i received a call from a gentlemen called Ryan explaining that an aftermarket mileage blocker was fitted to the back of my steering wheel. Which made absolutely no sense to me because I wouldn't know how to access the back of any steering wheel to fit a blocker. I explained that the vehicle was purchased a while ago, so i needed some assistance in rectifying the problem. I was told by Ryan, that your service department refused to work on my vehicle and i should arrange a tow truck to collect the vehicle and recover it elsewhere. What infuriated me more was he still had the decency to ask me to pay the investigation fee. I will be escalating this matter to my solicitors and the Motor Ombudsman.
