Wickes - Leamington Spa Reviews 

UPDATE: Initial review left 11th April. As per response from Wickes, they were not happy with what we were told by their customer service team. Over 2 months later, we are still waiting for someone to come to the house to view and fix the issues. Seriously shocking. We chase regularly and are told thanks for your patience..patience has gone. GET THIS RESOLVED!!!!

Shame there isnt a zero star option. There were so many issues, initially, designer came out to measure for a kitchen and utility room, 4 times, still got the measurements wrong. This meant the builder had to change things to fit. Incorrect items were sent to us and when we pointed this out, Wickes then sent the same wrong item to us, this happened 3 times. So we now have carcasses in our loft that Wickes did not want to take back. The builders (supplied by Wickes, their best team apparently) caused damage to the paint in our hallway, they also blew electrics by drilling through wires, twice, this meant our google nest stopped working, which they said was not their fault. When fitting the kitchen, the builders did not follow the plans correctly so things were not in line, or where they should have been. This meant cupboards and tops had to be replaced. Tap had to be replaced as this was fitted badly. Side panels cut incorrectly, which had to be replaced, we had to to point there errors to the builders. Excess glue put on door joins meaning it stripped the finish off the door. This was the less stressful part. When the tops were done, initially they were all wrong, firstly, there was not enough back splash ordered, so bodge job done to make it work. There were 3 joins done, all badly, builders came back to fix 2 of them, which are now showing signs of wear, in less than 2 months, shockingly Wickes have said its our fault. Absolutley disgusting customer service and experience. If you are truly thinking about going to wickes I would suggest strongly you look elsewhere. Get a builder or joiner first, then ask them what they recommend. Do not make the same mistake as us. Good luck.

I visited Wickes in Leamington over the weekend and left feeling like faith has been restored in top tier customer service. I am doing a renovation at the moment so have used numerous different stores, Homebase, B&Q, Toolstation and Screwfix and out of all of the stores that I’ve visited I’ve genuinely never felt so welcomed, supported and satisfied with the overall service as I have done here. I hold my hands up and admit that I am one that asks a lot of questions because I am not the most knowledgable when it comes to DIY but with the warm welcome and support I had from the staff directing me and helping me with their expertise, I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better service. I would never usually leave a review on a retail store but with the service I received I couldn’t help but want to spread the positive news and encourage people to use this store. The service I have had in competitor stores has not been a patch on what I experienced here so I just wanted to make that known publicly and also say thank you! I won’t use the other stores moving forward and encourage others to prioritise this store to experience the same level of high customer service that I received. All of the staff from top to bottom are an absolute credit to your brand. Thank you once again!

Sarah-Jayne was super helpful with our kitchen design and very patient as we modified the design to suit our budget. The kitchen is in now and looks fantastic.

Great new store in Leamington - went for the first time this weekend and was very impressed.
Big, clean, well stocked and all staff were really friendly and helpful!

Had a delivery issue with the property the item was going to which Diane helped me out with she was very friendly and helpful I couldn’t of asked for more

We went into store on Sunday, and Charlie went above and beyond to help us. We cannot thank him enough!

Have been into Leamington store a few times. While it’s a well presented clean store. Every time I go in it seems a disappointment! I go into the Coventry store knowing they will have what I need, quick easy simple, however this store feels a lot bigger but the product range is poor a list of 23 items I needed could only get 6 products. 4 of which they didn’t have the quantities I needed. Asked a number of staff when going around if it was somewhere else in the store or if they had more and they either said no or we’re only getting 1 or 2 in then when it sells sent in 1 or 2 again. Shelves full of the same items. When I first visited I thought maybe their still waiting for stock to come in but when chatting to the staff it seemed they know this is a major problem and is why the store was so quiet, I stated to one surely your management should be sorting the product range out and listening to customers and what need. They pretty much said the management’s are too busy in the kitchen and bathroom area and don’t seem the stock issues, I don’t understand why they opened this store to do it badly instead of just keeping the old showroom store, if that’s wickes way forward? Within 2 miles of the store you pretty much have every builders merchant including two massive jewson’s, tp, bps, mkm etc and soon to be B&Q and selco. This store is going to struggle massively when these open, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return again.

I went into the Leamington store a couple of weeks ago and was instantly greeted by Conor. He was so friendly and chatty. He asked if I had been here before, which I said no. He then asked if I needed help with anything. He took me to the things I needed and also gave advice on better products than the ones I initially went in to get. I cannot fault the customer service he gave one bit! The store was also so clean and tidy and I will definitely be coming back again!

I visited the store on Sunday, and I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff. Lauren in particular was very knowledgeable about paint, and spent a good amount of time with me, making sure I had all the necessary products for my renovation. She patiently walked me through all of the different products and their uses, recommending specific brands and even working out what size of product I would need for each room. I left feeling confident about the job ahead, and for that reason I would recommend this shop to all persons taking on a DIY project.

After we made it clear we weren't going to break the bank with a total re-design, and all we wanted was to replace the existing kitchen cupboards, to a budget, the interest was lost. Nearly 2 weeks later and still not received the quote, promised the following night, of the visit, not even a courtesy call to explain delay, looks like we are getting our kitchen from someone else.

Sent our 20 year old son to collect some items for DIY and he was refused the items as he did not have his ID. Would not accept photographs of passport or driving licence- and he drove there!! Called to explain the situation but the manager would not allow rhe sale. Nowhere on the website does it say anything about requiring ID. What happens when young apprentices are sent to buy supplies? Will not be using the store again.

We visited the brand new Wickes store in Leamington Spa today 08/01/2025 with my partner and twin babies, upon entering the store, it felt very welcoming and the staff was all smiley and happy, they left us alone and allowed us to look around, (some stores like to approach customers and pester them) but this store did not and left us to browse freely.

I ended up contacting the store and spoke with a lady named Lauren over the phone and told them of my positive feedback which they was delighted and grateful to hear, so here I am leaving a review for others to see.

came to Wickes in Leamington for advice on paint, just before Christmas. we met Jason and he could not have been more helpful. Such a polite and knowlegeable person! We had to visit the store 3 times for various items, and Jason was always there ready to spend time with us and give us his advice. Thank you Jason, Wickes are lucky to have you!

Lovely big store. Young lad Conor on the tills was very friendly and polite and managed the queue very quickly whilst making every customer feel welcome and not rushed. Found everything I was looking for. Great prices too.

We are looking for a new kitchen and popped into Wickes. Bally Aulak (Design Consultant) offered her help with a free site visit and layout. She created a detailed layout and full spec of all the cabinets and appliances and a set of renders to help us envisage the final design in 3D. Throughout she was informative, knowledgeable and, above all, patient as we considered all the options. We are grateful for her help and would recommend both Bally and Wickes for anyone considering a new bespoke kitchen.
