Every home needs one
I haven’t filled my boxes yet so can only rate for half a service! Thus far delivery was rapid and assembly of boxes from a scored piece of cardboard was easy. I love being able to recycle everything, other than that which is recycled by my local council.
It’s an expensive service but if it takes awhile to fill my two boxes which it looks as if it will, it will be money well spent. Every home should have one!
Takes more waste than you'd think!
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I could fit into the zero waste box, and then how easy it was to drop it off for return to Terracycle. While this is not a cheap option, it is a great way to think twice about the packaging I need to dispose of and the price of recycling. I will keep replacing my box as I fill it as I think this is a fabulous option for those hard to recycle essential items.
Nice idea, but no feedback or assurances from Terracycle your waste was recyled
I purchase a Zero Waste Box to recycle all the plastic packaging that living your daily life leaves you with: be it lids, yoghurt pots or food trays. The idea from Terracycle is good however considering the cost, I think you should be able to get more assurance that the waste you are sending them is actually being recycled. Once you've ordered your box and filled it, you simply just arrange for UPS to pick the parcel up and that's it: no further communication from there. Considering the parcel is tracked, I think Terracycle should provide you with a confirmation email that the box has arrived at the recycling plant and all the items you have sent will be separated out for recycling. I would even welcome some feedback that I had recycled the correct items. There is nothing the prove the courier doesn't just dispose of the items, there is nothing to state the items you recycled were salvaged and had to be incinerated instead. What is even more concerning is the address that Terracycle ship to, is an energy recovery plant (i.e. an incinerator). More feedback from Terracycle would be welcome.

Convenient and prompt service
Convenient and prompt service
We filled the box and sent it back in about 3 months, Zero waste kitchen box. A lot of crisp packages went into it, which is interesting. I would highlight that the packaging the box was sent in was not recyclable which seems odd. Also it might be useful to make the font listing what is allowable in the box bigger and easier to read at a glance.
Easy and convenient
Box turns up, plastic goes in, box is picked up. Definitely the easiest thing to do.
Eta: the boxes arrive flat, so they are easy to store until you need to use them. Once the box is made up, there’s an letterbox style opening at the top to drop the cleaned dried items into without having to see a box full of stuff.
The collection arrangement with UPS makes this entire system extremely convenient, no carting a huge box to the post office or drop off location.
All in one zero waste container.
The product arrived with very little information about how to send it back, apart from return it via DHL. This made it sound as if it would be collected from my address but I had to take it to a drop-off location. Also I had no feedback to say whether the container had been received. This would have nice considering the price paid for a cardboard box.

Still haven't filled my box.
Still haven't filled my box as Co-op now taking more bags and wrapping Also my local recycling centre have increased their range off things recycled.

I was able to recycle a lot of videos and cassette tapes which would otherwise have been burned at the local energy reclamation plant, the ‘tip’.
I needed to change one box so as to be able to combine cassettes & videos & that was a very straightforward process. Excellent!
Can't live without it!
It may seem expensive at first but I now can't live without my box. You can fit in a lot so it lasts 2-3months depending. I get the kitchen separation box as I have 2 children who go through a million snacks a day. I love how much can get recycled that I otherwise would avoid buying or would end up in landfill. The addition of party supplies (inc balloons) is awesome!! When I order a box it arrives next day, it's super easy to order and to return and all included in the cost. What an amazing service terracycle provide, I wish everyone could afford to have one in their homes.

Super easy way to recycle the bits and pieces you cannot put in the Council's recycling bin! when it's full, just post it (the label is already on there)! Thanks for this Terra Cycle!
We are on our second Zero Waste Box!
We are on our second Zero Waste Box - have to say it took a bit of persuading to get the rest of the family to agree initially, but now they are hooked too and trying to get the grandparents to get them. It's unsettling to see how much goes into the box over a very short period of time and it has made us really look at what we use and how to improve our choices to use less. We max out the usefulness of the box by taking as much as we can to a local Church with Terracycle boxes for particular items, then put the plastic that they don't collect in ours. We'll definitely carry on using them in the hope that the more people that do, the more commonplace they'll become and the cheaper they get, fingers crossed!
Super easy to use
Super easy to use, great to have a means to recycle all that wrap/bags etc. Love the UPS drop off system, very simple.
I can now recycle nearly everything
Thanks to Terracycle I can recycle nearly everything. I have a kitchen separation zero box and occasionally have to have a plastic zero box too, as the poly nuggets don't go in the other box. The only thing I can't recycle now is blister packs, as Terracycle no longer accept them in their plastic packaging box. I admit that I find this very disappointing! However, I am saving all my blister packs, in the hope that they will resume taking them.

Excellent service even if you have to…
Excellent service even if you have to pay for it :)
It's essential to be able to recycle all products - its just unfortunate the UK is so far behind on the recycling of different types of widely used plastic packaging for example, which should surely be able to be recycled at a local centre.
