This is the second time we have rented a motorhome through Apollo. Traveling internationally it's reassuring to know everything we need from bedding to towels to kitchenware is provided. The crew at the Brisbane location made pick up and drop off a breeze. After a long flight, it's nice that the only thing left for us to do is stock up the fridge to start out trip. I will use Apollo again for our next RV vacation.

Friendly staff and the car was in an appropriate condition. We had no issues at all. The pick up took longer than expected but drop off was quick and easy!

Making the booking online was difficult and I hadn't read that i hsd no windscreen or tyre inclusion in the package i chose. Picking up the vehicle took a while, but i do get why. The staff were really understanding and patient. We really enjoyed the vehicle
It had all the comforts. The bed took some getting used to and the shower and toilet situation was really in a confined space but we got by. Overall we would use Apollo again. It was a hassle free experience and staff were very helpful at the drop off too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, both for pickup and drop off. The share cupboard is a terrific idea, it allowed us to take additional items, free of charge that other campers had left on completion of their respective trips. We also donated items that we had left over after ours.

Great experience picking up and dropping off. They took note of my minor concerns and made both getting in the campervan and leaving it extremely easy. I love the community cupboard, where I picked up some items to start and left things when I returned. I also appreciate the facilities having clean bathrooms and showers (with everything you need). Staff was friendly and helpful!

The pick up took approximately 3 and a half hours after phoning to say I would be there at lunch time. I had intended to get a 4 person Britz Euro which I believe would be smaller. Rolling over the Hundrlees to reach Kiakoura in the dark was a bad start and then realising that there was bedding for 6 when I stated 2 people would be in it plus our Dog. The reception person was surprised we had a dog, I said read your emails. So standing outside with dog and a lot of stuff as we where returning to Picton to see friends after living in the Sounds for 10 years, was not pleasant. Then to be told 3 or 4 times it will be ready in 20 minutes was dishonest. The Camper was dirty in areas that needed scrubbing not a wipe with a rag such as around the cooker and corners all over the van. The rattling of crockery was ridiculous and ended up wrapping them in blankets and placing up the top. It’s the 3rd time hiring from various companies and you rate the worst. I hope this doesn’t offend you except you asked so I am replying honestly. The last 3 nights we stayed in motels that we knew as have travelled the road many times. The slats in the middle bed where all over the place and it was not a simple thing to use. One plus the engine was good except I found it a bit petty charging the diesel KMs after receiving the amount that was paid up front.

It was a lovely new motorhome and similar to what we thought we had ordered the Euro plus campervan- having rented one in Tasmania many years ago. unfortunately it was the worst design for the area we were holidaying in central Australian desert – Alice Springs and surrounds. There are very few powered sites to use the air-conditioning which the van had been designed for, with only two very small windows to ventilate. The only other choice being leaving doors back and side open but not possible with all the flies and insects and security issues. I asked the assistance for fly screen so that we could use these doors, but there was nothing available which was very disappointing and a huge oversight. We plan to come back every year but will not use your company unless you can address issues so your vans are comfortable for the areas they’re being rented in. We felt we paid top dollar for a very ordinary experience, it was too hot to sleep at night as the van heated up during the day and had no way to cool it down with all the fixed windows, it would be perfect in a cold climate but not in Australian climate. The company needs to train your staff to be more tuned in to preparing the vehicles for the areas they’re renting them in.

We were happy with the people but not the vehicle. The reversing camera was the main issue. It failed on the 2nd day of our 10 day trip and caused major unease reversing the vehicle. It apears that it also made the vehivle unroadworthy as the view from the rearview mirror was less than 15% of the tital viewing area. The attempt to repair this and other isses were ineffective.

Relatively simple process and quality Mobile home, they let themselves down on the time to collect and the hidden costs that had to be added before hire commenced.

Lenny and the team were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Lenny took us through all aspects of the RV and was very patient with all of our questions. Nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t get his name but the technician that fixed a small issue was a great guy too. We’re excited for our 6 week trip in Australia. (Cairns Location).

Really good service from up lift to return, staff all very helpful and friendly. We had a windscreen crack on the second day and we received a very quick response with regular updates to sort it. Arrangements made for replacement windscreen booked in two days and when we arrived it was replaced within 2 hours. Picking the van up in Christchurch was straightforward from the airport and we were on the road within an hour. Van was in very good condition and very comfortable.

Loved the vehicle except for one of the gas burners very difficult to stay alight and the GPS not being up to date.
Was annoyed when my vehicle had a pushbike rack attached to the back as I had not ordered it and the staff were not cooperative in having removed.
Luckily it turned out someone at the last minute turned up wanting one and had to manage the swap over.
I found the male staff quite dismissive of my concerns and familiarising me of the vehicle use/manual location. This was the Queenstown office.

Campervan was great, functional, spacious and with an amazing external integrated bbq! Now, we had a couple of issues during the two months of road trip (the water pump broke and a flat tire) but the service provided by THL staff was great and very professional. When I come back to Australia I’ll for sure book again with Apollo. Thanks Team!

The car is very reliable, location is slightly far from the airport and staff are friendly

We rented an EuroTourer Mercedes van. 93000 km. It was not suitable for rental:
- structural 'creaking' of van body made for noisy trip
- door alarms constantly coming on (due to structural van issue around big side door)
- batteries did not last over night - compromising what we wanted to do with the hire. (The company did rectify this and refund some money at end - thanks.)
- static coming through radio from reversing camera - took 48 hours for person on help line to 'click' to this as problem.
It must be challenging to run a business with depreciating stock, and ensure stock is kept working long enough to make the business viable. But this van either needed to be put out to pasture, or better maintained.
