Mercedes-Benz U.K.

Mercedes-Benz U.K.
......a name synonymous with prestige and customer service. NOT ANYMORE....!!!
It is quite obvious that neither are they bothered about the quality and standard of the dealerships that represent the name.
Group1 Motors being the BIGGEST charlatans, liars, deceitful scumbags I've EVER had the misfortune to deal with.
.....and now M.B. UK. Ltd. who actually take my money every month refuse to rectify the problem instigated by their franchise dealer...even though it is M.B. who receive the money...!!!
Likewise.....they promise time after time through their myriad of departments to rectify the situation with promises of such....and that's the last you ever hear.
A total DISGRACE and a total misrepresentation of what they supposedly stand for....!!!
Never thought I'd see the day....but here it is...M.B. UK. Ltd. are now no different to your average second hand car dealer working off a bomb-site...!!!
Actually NO...that's unfair.. I retract that....I think you'd probably get considerably better service off that bomb-site Arthur Daley.......PATHETIC

🚨 Mercedes EQS 450+

🚨 Mercedes EQS 450+ – Ongoing Fault, Dealer Negligence & Warranty.
Complaint Ref: 15262538

I’m sharing my experience with the Mercedes EQS 450+, a vehicle I’ve long trusted to deliver premium quality. Unfortunately, this has not been the case.

In May 2025, Mercedes Stockport replaced the PTC boost heater under warranty to fix heating/AC issues. However, the problem persists, now causing the vehicle to fail charging and starting and completely DEAD...

An independent EV expert has since identified the root cause: during the earlier repair, a wire was improperly adjusted, causing an earth (grounding) fault. This clearly points to negligence by the dealer.

To make matters worse:

I was surprised to learn my warranty is no longer valid, despite being told it was renewed.
Mercedes-Benz STOCKPORT has refused to cover repairs related to this fault, which stems from their own mistake.
The rental vehicle has been off-hired today (Pending Invoice for the hire), and also facing a £2,501 repair bill to retrieve my car.
Mercedes Head Office has received my complaint but has not responded since 10th May 2025.
As a long-time Mercedes customer who has always maintained my vehicles at an authorised dealer UNDER SERVICE PLAN, this treatment is unacceptable.

Mercedes-Benz must take responsibility, cover the repairs, and communicate transparently with their customers, especially when faults arise from previous service negligence and ongoing. I need my Vehicle Back as I am left with no vehicle, despite of owning this top end EV EQS 450+ spent in excess of £115,000 and felt like I have been Scammed!!!!

Blocked from bringing my car to any chosen service

I purchased an approved used 2024 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which came with a 12-month warranty that has turned out to be basically useless.
Here is the story: The vehicle did not reach 1 year of purchase, nor 10,000 miles, to have the service A. As I have not brought (yet) the vehicle to the Mercedes, I started to receive a message on the digital screen with the options "Call Now", "Call Later", "Book an Appointment later". It came everytime I turned on the car, until it suddendly blocked all my access to the vehicle information and profile. Now, it does not allow me to press any option, I do not have access to the screen, no GPS, no radio, no vital information, no access to my hands free mobile bluetooth service! All blocked. It happened just when I needed most, in a place with no mobile network to help me with navigation far away from home, in a unknown place! I called Mercedes service just to hear that I need to bring the vehicle to the Mercedes Service, and they will not unblock this message, do not give me the option to bring somewhere else, and I continue to be unable to ignore the message and drive the car that is my own property! I complained but they do not do anything to help me. So, if this is the level of service Mercedes provides in UK, I will contact the Headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, as I did before, and contact my lawyer for an eventual legal action.

Expensive brand cheap service

I purchased a Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 expecting premium service — what I got instead was an endless loop of generic emails, copy-paste checklists, and zero accountability.

Since early July 2025, I’ve been trying to resolve an issue with the car not connecting to the Mercedes-Benz servers — meaning none of the digital services can be activated. I confirmed in writing that all conditions were met: the car has been driven multiple times in good mobile coverage, yet support continues to ask the same checklist questions over and over again, as if my previous replies were never read.

To make matters worse, I was told my refund for the non-functioning services had been “processed.” That apparently just means a request was submitted internally. No refund has been received.

Contacting a dealership? They refer me to Mercedes me support. Mercedes me? Right back to the dealer. No ownership. No results. Just scripted replies and delays.

If anyone at Mercedes-Benz would care to investigate, this relates to case reference 15142771 — though judging by the lack of progress, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

For a brand that prides itself on excellence, this experience has been anything but.

I will never buy from Mercedes again I…

I will never buy from Mercedes again I have had 3 cars with them over the years , the last two have had faulty alarm sensors.

My car was due a recall I eventually managed to get it booked in I explained on the phone while booking my car in about my alarm going of this is on a new GLB I stated I’ve had it checked and it’s over head control panel and it’s booked in with another garage as I’m aware of Mercedes pricing.

I went to hand my car in for its recall they have stated they had no recall on the car and it’s in for a diagnostic test which i stated no it was for its recall I got told they would sort it.

Today I have had a invoice for £663 for a diagnostic test which I’ve already had and for them to replace the overhead unit double of what I was paying at the other garage , at first I got asked to pay £517 for the work and part they have fixed apparently for it then to jump up to £663 when I said I was paying in full and not instalments.

Money greedy company that doesn’t care about loyal customers I will buy from elsewhere now

I purchased an Approved Used 2021…

I purchased an Approved Used 2021 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which came with a 12-month warranty that has turned out to be basically useless.

Despite the car having less than 40,000 miles total and only 6,500 miles driven in the last 12 months, it developed a cam cover leak. Mercedes-Benz refused to cover the repair under warranty and offered only a small goodwill contribution, leaving me with a bill of over £1,000.

The communication was extremely slow, there was no proper apology for the delays, and the entire experience has been shocking — completely unacceptable for a so-called “premium” brand.

I strongly advise anyone considering an Approved Used Mercedes-Benz to think twice. The warranty is essentially worthless, and the aftersales support has been deeply disappointing.

Just bought a new to us Mercedes SLS

Just bought a new to us Mercedes SLS. Service isn’t due until December so just wanted peace of mind everything was as it should be. Mercedes Benz of Southampton booked us in for a free health check. They provided a video showing us the underneath of the car and pointed out what would need attention at the next service. We received a complimentary clean too. Very professional team. Exceptional service.

SHOCKING EXPERIENCE

SHOCKING EXPERIENCE – EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE

My family and I have now been without a vehicle for 35 days after being informed that our electric Mercedes may pose a serious safety risk — with the potential to catch fire.

Despite numerous attempts to contact both Mercedes-Benz and Stratstone, the communication has been appalling. We have not received any personal updates, phone calls, or meaningful explanations. We are simply being told it could take 6–8 weeks for the matter to reach the ombudsman, leaving us in complete limbo.

As the vehicle is leased, Mercedes has offered to cover only 75% of the repair cost, leaving us with an unexpected £1,000 bill — for a fault that, in our view, is clearly not our responsibility. The vehicle has been properly maintained and serviced throughout.

More concerning is the fact that no courtesy or replacement vehicle has been offered, despite the safety risk being serious enough to warrant the car being taken off the road. As a result, we have been left unable to carry out essential daily tasks, including getting our children to school.

It is incredibly disappointing that brands like Mercedes and Stratstone — who position themselves as leaders in the automotive industry — show such a lack of responsibility and customer care after the point of sale.

I would strongly urge potential customers to think carefully before purchasing or leasing a Mercedes, particularly an electric model, given the safety concerns and lack of after-sales support we’ve experienced.

We hope Mercedes-Benz will contact us directly to provide a proper explanation and resolution

Avoid Mercedes

Where to start with this. I purchased a Mercedes Benz A class A180 AMG line for my son as his first car when he passed his test 2 years ago. It was 3 years old and had only done 8000 miles.

The gear selector snapped at 20,000 miles and now the rear sub frame is fractured and has come apart at 35,000 miles which is unheard of and very, very dangerous. I don't know what they make these cars out of now but i have never come anything like it in over 25 years of motoring. I took the vehicle to Mercedes on both occasions and they simply dismiss you and do not want to know. They are known for making defective sub frames but they never advertise these recalls which is very sly.

When i called them about this subframe issue they said that they would inspect it and fix it as a 'goodwill' gesture if it hadn't previously been welded (which it hasn't). However they have just come back to me saying they won't consider fixing it and that it must have been in an accident (which it hasn't).

I am absolutely fuming, and I will be taking my case to the Ombudsman. I am disgusted by my treatment by Mercedes Benz and myself of my family or friends will never purchase one ever again.

Never ever Mercedes Benz anymore.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience owning a Mercedes-Benz. I purchased in 2023 a used 2020 S350d Grand Edition for £61,000, expecting the level of quality and reliability the brand is known for. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. Shortly after the warranty expired, I encountered a series of serious issues: the AC compressor failed, the camshaft needed replacement, the DPF developed faults, not smooth gear box shifting anymore and the engine began consuming more oil than fuel.

Given the premium price point and the brand’s reputation, this level of unreliability is unacceptable. Sadly, this has been the worst car I’ve ever owned, and I can no longer trust Mercedes-Benz as a manufacturer. I won’t be considering another purchase from the brand in the future.

Professional & Efficient

This morning my E class was in at Mercedes Benz Southport because I had a warning message on the dash saying Add Blue Fault.
They quickly investigated and rectified the fault
The also did a health check on my car and sent me a video highlighting both rear suspension springs had broken.
I agreed the work and the car was ready in the afternoon, It was also washed and hovered.
A big thank you manager Paul and all the technicians & staff at Mercedes Benz Southport for looking after me and my car.
Thank you very much.

Well after 8 years of paying for his car, car has been stolen and what Mercedes do absolutely nothing even though they said there is SIM card in car and they might be able to track down, but they leave my brother completely helpful.. All they care is when they trying to convince you to buy their car but after few years no one car.. Oh by the way he paid around 80k for his car in 2017
I will never buy Mercedes as customer service when it comes to problem like this is useless.
My brother is too humble to complain that’s why I’m doing this

AVOID Mercedes Vans Exeter

Well I thought I bought a nice van from Mercedes Vans Exeter, nothing could be further from the truth. I strongly advise you DO NOT buy any vehicle from here.

Let me list the issues I’ve had with my van. Van was only one year old on purchase. Please consider I have still only driven less than 3000 miles since purchase….

Tailgate is off centre (much more than accepted tolerance that I was told)
Faulty overhead control panel needed replacing (was sold van with this faulty)
Driven side wing mirror plastic part had fallen off and fixed by Mercedes
Cushion needed fixing on passenger side (was sold van with this fault)
Rubber seal needed replacing on tailgate (was sold van with this fault)
Faulty sensors developed (seemed to be most drivers side) supposedly fixed but seems the problem has surfaced again
Brakes squeaky from purchase, when looked at by Mercedes garage brakes defined as requiring URGENT ATTENTION. Made to sign a disclaimer to drive van home without them being replaced. Only 2000 miles driven from purchase UNBELIEVABLE
Two faulty locks, which have now been replaced by Mercedes Exeter
Camera does not retract at rear. Have been waiting for months to find out what’s going on, they have tried to replace but failed. Twice I’ve asked and they never get back to me
Faulty sensors again have resurfaced today
Brakes now squeaking again
Horrendous experience with Mercedes throughout, I once thought Mercedes was a reputable company, how wrong was I.

What happened to the quality Mercedes-Benz

Leased a new EQC and after around 900 miles the high voltage battery failed. I rejected the vehicle as it failed in week 3 and it took 3 months to resolve. Horrible build quality that fails, shocking dealer service and awful central disservice. Never, EVER will I touch another MB product. Son in law has a nearly new CLA and the sunroof has failed. My brother had an EQC that he rejected after lots of faults and failures.
