Cannock branch - fabulous staff!

10/10 service from Gary

Purchased two pairs of glasses but unfortunately had miss placed prescription. Gary was so helpful, went above and beyond to ring the opticians to get my details. So helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Nothing was too much trouble for him, even on a busy Monday afternoon.

Superb Customer Service at Shirley branch

Called in as a bit of an emergency as frames bought from another supplier a while back broke. Superb customer service from Gary at Shirley branch in the Midlands, who spent a good half hour trying to find something that would take my particularly small lenses and adjusting a pair he had in stock accordingly. He would just not give up!! Would highly recommend.

Fantastic service!…

Went into the Northfield branch to have new lenses fitted in my Ray Ban sunglasses. It was an extremely tricky job which took about 20 minutes to complete. Didn't even charge me a penny. Very nice staff and great service.

One very happy customer

Visited the Walsall branch several weeks ago and was attended to by a lady called Clare and I just was blown away by her customer service helping me to find the most suitable pair of glasses for my dad . She went above and beyond to help me she really is an asset to this branch . It’s so uplifting to have such an excellent service I honestly cannot thank her enough !

Visited Direct Spec in Burton this…

Visited Direct Spec in Burton this afternoon, arriving at 16:33, only to find the store closed—despite their stated opening hours being until 5 PM. There was no sign on the door, no notice, and no explanation.

I completely understand that circumstances can change and things pop up unexpectedly—but it would be far less frustrating if there was at least a note on the door. As it stands, it just feels like you don’t care about your customers.

This is the third time this has happened to me over a period of time. While the service is good when you can get into the store, the lack of communication and reliability really lets the experience down.

Still a great business!

Lovely staff - travelled from out of area to use them as i’d used them year ago! Nothing too much trouble in store or on the phone! Receipts emailed to me as promised and just a lovely branch to deal with!

Would recommend

I recently came here to choose some distant glasses for driving with a prescription I had already got.
Gary was most helpful and I was very happy with the frames I chose at a very reasonable price especially compared to most other places and they were ready within a few days.
Great service, I would recommend and definitely use again.

Really impressed with service and price

A friend recommended Direct specs to me when she realised how much I was paying for my prescription lenses. My first visit to Direct specs Walsall was tentative, more of a browse and price check. Clare was welcoming, informative and answered my many questions without frustration or pushing for a sale. I took the information, and returned two weeks later with designer frames to be fitted with prescription lenses. Clare again was professional, friendly and courteous whilst taking measurements etc., no hard sell to go for the most expensive options, she really meets your needs, gives options with pros and cons etc., Clare structures expectations in terms of timeframe and called within that timeframe to advise glasses were ready. I was relieved and impressed with how great the glasses looked, ( I was worried incase the frames got damaged) they were perfect. I would highly recommend this branch, a great experience from beginning to end. Thanks Claire.

Absolutely fantastic service at DIRECT SPECS in SHIRLEY,BIRMINGHAM.
I had a fall and as a result,my spectacle frame got damaged.As I had purchased them from Direct Specs in Shirley,i took them there. The staff Gary and Matassa were incredibly helpful and efficient. Gary repaired the frame while i waited in the shop and To my surprise, there was no charge for the repair. As a customer who purchased my glasses here, I truly appreciate this exceptional level of care.
It's rare to find such excellent and generous service. you've definitely earned a loyal customer!
Highly recommend!

Suranne was extremely helpful but also very knowledgeable. Her opinion was welcomed regarding some of the frames I tried on, but she left the final decision to me. I didn't feel under any pressure it was all very relaxed.
I would definitely recommend Direct Specs as their prices are very competitive.

Would give 10 stars if I could!

Visited today with my mom so she could treat herself to a new pair of glasses for her birthday. My mom is very indecisive when it comes to choosing things 😂 After choosing a pair, we spoke to Gary who then recommended a better brand for the thickness of lens of her prescription and within minutes he found a pair that looked even better than the pair she originally chose! The service was incredible and Gary is so knowledgable. The price difference compared to Specsavers was insane, even with her difficult prescription and all the bells and whistles included within the final price. Would recommend every person I know to come here for all their glasses needs!!! Thank you again Gary for your expertise and friendly service 😆

Phil and Kerry are an absolute credit…

Phil and Kerry are an absolute credit to the company. They went over and above to fit lenses which help me to undertake VDU work. As an NHS employee they supported me to be able to work more effectively without the eye strain that I had become accustomed to. Fantastic approach to customer service. I am a long term customer and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Outstanding

First time I have used Direct Specs having previously used other online stores. I was a little skeptical that the low prices might be reflected in the quality but I have to say the frame and lense quality - not to mention the customer service - is first class. My initial online order wasn't quite right for me. No problem - I was able to swap the frames for a smaller pair and DS re-sized the varifocal lenses to fit. The turnaround was just 4 days from me sending the glasses back and the new pair being delivered to me. Simon's customer service was outstanding with regular emails to keep me updated. The frame quality is easily as good if not better than the well-known competition. I'll be using - and recommending - Direct Specs again, no question.

Great customer service Went in on the off chance to have my channel sunglasses tightened. I didn’t buy my glasses from here, but they still repaired them. Very friendly staff and only charged me minimum amount. Would definitely recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again
