Long waits to get served a counter

Long at the Islington store was very kind, patient and helpful throughout the process of test-riding, selecting the bike and accessories and then picking it up. He paid meticulous attention to the order and ensured all items were handed over appropriately.

Slow and caused more problems than they solved
I’ve now been without a bike for more than two months. After booking it in for a service, I’ve experienced further problems with my gears and brakes (which were not present before). Each time the bike has been in the workshop for extended periods of time (more than two weeks for one repair) and in each time there was an attempt to upsell expensive new parts or work that wasn’t needed. I’m still without a functioning bike - avoid!

Great experience. Great customer service, very helpful, courteous and friendly chap I spoke with on the phone. I needed advice on a set of mudguards.
I bought the mudguards (excellent price) and the arrived the very next day. I would definitely buy from them again and can highly recommend Balfe’s Bikes.

Bought 2 nutrak 700c 19-25c presta…
Bought 2 nutrak 700c 19-25c presta tubes. Both have punctured. The first I discovered the leak immediately while putting it on (I got it replaced)and the second has punctured a week later. Both punctures were on seams on the tube. Terrible quality from my experience. I have now replaced with Conti tubes at half the price.
